We arrived on the 4th of May and found the condo was very easy to locate and checking in went very smooth. We found the condo to be exactly as advertised and we were very pleased with how clean it was! We loved the bed and slept great! The view is beautiful from the balcony! Charles and Emily were very nice when we called to ask a question. We got our cleaning deposit back in record time. All in all...we were very happy with our choice and would recommend it our friends!

Renovated condo

Very clean and newly renovated. Liked being 2 blocks from the beach with all the shops etc at your finger tips. Cooked at home 4 out of 7 nights and had no problem with appliances or supplies. View from the balcony is great and the price is reasonable. Happy about both the a/c and bedroom fan. Free wi-fi was very important to us as we were on a 3 month trip, so needed to be in contact with family regularly to make sure pets/house were fine. Only 2 small snags....the shower head in the bathroom is very low down so you have to bend over a bit to rinse your hair. A parking space is included with the condo, but not designated, so it becomes a pain if you arrive later (10/11pm) as finding the one available spot is like finding a needle in a haystack. It would be better if each spot were designated to a particular condo and that way you would part in the same place no matter what time it was. We would recommend this vacation rental as the pros far out weigh the cons!

10-4-11 Sisters stayed at this Condo for 8 days. The description and pictures were accurate and views excellent. The property was very clean and comfortable. It was sad when we had to leave but bring back many wonderful memories with us. We would definitely rent this property again and hope we can come back some day.

We're back from our Oah'u vacation in your Banyan condo. We found it sparkling clean upon arrival and quite welcoming. I especially liked your bedroom's soothing blue & brown color scheme ... and the mattress was most comfortable! We appreciated the 'backpack' style beach chairs for the one day happily spent in the shade upon the grassy area under Banyan trees (Sans Souci Recreation area?) reading my book while Mike explored the different swimming beaches. The pool, the two-different temperature spas, Sam's little grill and the superb coffee shop downstairs were convenient and enjoyed! The condo was well-located and we explored the island easily from Waikiki walking north to Ala Moana Recreation area, over to Fort Derussy's Army Museum (found a picture of my mother in the civilian 'working women' Pacific room!), northeastwardly to Foster's Botanical Garden, back through the historical district and caught tour buses to Pearl Harbor & around the island. We also walked easily to restaurants & enjoyed sunsets along Kalakaua Avenue beach spots & yogurt at Yogurtland. Walking south took us to the Aquarium and other beaches, neighborhoods ... and to Diamondhead crater and its hiking trail to the a terrific view! AND, there was more to do that didn't get done (this trip). A car wasn't necessary though if we had one, your parking space would have been a blessing. Our time at your 'Luxury Banyan' home was restful and a perfect spot from which to explore all of Oah'u! Thank you, it was a whole lotta nice.

My husband and I spent 9 days at beautiful condo in March. The condo was very spacious and clean. Lots of linens and within walking distance to the beach, Ala Moana mall and bus line. I would recommend this condo to anyone. We did not have any need to contact the owner, however, it would have been a nice touch if they would have contacted us to see if we had everything we needed or if we had any questions. Or maybe followed up with us after we left.

Charles is very quick to respond to questions and is very helpful in the process. The condo itself is very clean and has been obviously updated. It has gorgeous views of the beach and mountains. The condo is at a perfect location and is very close to the beach. The bed is super comfortable. Free parking in the garage was definitely a plus. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend staying here.

The Banyan is in an excellent location and has a wonderful view. The condo was clean,very quiet and well equipped.We especially appreciated having internet, phone to Canada and parking spot (and beach chairs!). The owners always responded quickly. Would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was quick to respond to my questions beforehand. We were close-about 2 blocks-to all the Waikiki action: beach, beachfront hotels, shopping, and restaurants. I personally enjoyed the mountain/city view from the balcony. We were happy to have access to the condo's "quik-mart", not paying for parking, and staying someplace bigger than a hotel room with better amenities. Of course the condo was a great value. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

We loved our stay at 3010 Banyan! The condo was a perfect location within walking distance of Waikiki and shops and restaurants, but away enough that it was quiet. The bed was really comfortable, and it was nice being able to make our own meals in the kitchen. The pool area was nice, though we didn't use it being so close to the beach. We loved watching the sunset from the balcony. At the end of my stay I left my camera battery charger in the room and it was mailed out to me in Maui the next day - it totally saved my vacation!

We love staying at the Waikiki Banyan because of the location close to the beach and the strip and this condo is much nicer than the standard rooms at the hotel. Also, having access to beach chairs was a bonus. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was very good in responding to any questions I had and ensuring that I was provided with all the information I needed. We enjoyed our stay in Waikiki and look forward returning in future.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Banyon. The pool and kids playground was nice for our 19 month old. The unit was well equiped and nicely maintained. Charles and Emily were very polite to talk to. We wish there was more room to put our luggage away, but overall a very nice place. We would stay here agin when we come back. Thanks!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Waikiki Banyan Luxury Condo. The suite was well appointed and very comfortable, and the owner's Oahu tips were very helpful. While staying here you are no more than a quick walk to Waikiki Beach, the zoo and the aquarium. And it only takes ten to fifteen minutes by bus to reach Diamond Head or Ala Moana Shopping Centre. It is an ideal location at a reasonable price and we highly recommend it.

The condo fit our needs perfectly while in Oahu. One block off the beach, great view of the ocean. The personnel down at the hotel desk were even very friendly. Easy access to public transportation, if you don't have a car, and an easy walk to most everything in Waikiki. Except for a couple of meals out, we actually cooked in the condo and had some nice quiet time as well as the hubbub of Waikiki. Thank you for a nicely designed getaway.

The owners were great people to deal with as well. Very helpful and good tips. The condo is absolutely amazing. Very clean & modern decor, feels like your own home. The views are spectacular, and the location is great close to the strip, beach & restraunts. We really enjoyed this condo. What a relief to stay in a place so recently renovated. It was very hip and modern, without all the clutter we often encounter in vacation rentals. Spotlessly clean! The location turned out to be perfect for us (the east end of Waikiki). Friends stayed on the west end of town and we found this location preferable. We felt driving from the east end of Waikiki was more convenient that the west; better access to the H1 and to many of the sites just because the traffic flow was better. There are great views from the 30th floor, and the owners seemed to have thought of everything re: amenities. Our walk to the beach was about 5 minutes. We'd stay here again and recommend it to friends.

My husband and I stayed in unit #3010 Tower 1 May 31-June 2, 2007. The condo was great! It had everything you'd need and more. It has a fully stocked kitchen...all you need is the food! They had beach chairs which could come in very handy since you will be SO close to Waikiki Beach...walking distance for sure. The condo's decor was very nice...nothing cheesy like most. We felt like we were home away from home...not a hotel room. Check out the pics at #73608 on VRBO. The owner was great to work with as well!

We had a wonderful stay in Waikiki. The unit was very comfortable and provided for all our needs. The Building is located within a block of the beach, zoo, shopping and very nice restaurants. You may want to bring something for music since there is no radio or stereo.

Owner response:Sorry I didn't make it clear in our instruction letter. We have a DVD/CD/MP3 player. It plays through the TV speakers. Instead of playing movies, it will play music cds or mp3 cds and display the names of the songs on the TV screen. Will consider adding another system in the bedroom next time we are in Hawaii. Thanks.

Charles, Your condo on Waikiki was just right for my wife and me. The condo indeed is close to everything that we needed. What a beautiful place! It is luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The location is GREAT! The lanai offers a magnificient view of both the beach and the mountains. A great place to have coffee in the morning or cocktails at sunset. Close enough to walk to everything! This is a real winner!!!

Very nicely decorated condo - Great views of the ocean, canal and hillside city. We caught a great sunset over Waikiki from the lanai. Short walk to main drag in Waikiki which has its benefits, however, it is seldom quiet with the lanai door or windows open.

Owner response:In Waikiki, there is no quiet location. However, the condo is already located at the "nicer" and quieter end of Waikiki. Definitely the noise level outside would be a lot worst if you are located elsewhere in Waikiki, especially at International Center or anywhere near Ala Mona.

I found the condo on line. It took a leap of faith for me to enter into a contract on line, but Dr. Cheng, the owner, was from the beginning, helpful, direct, honest. The one bedroom was beautifully decorated, comfortable, very clean. The instructions for using equipment and the name and phone numbers for the houskeeper and her husband who could be called for maintenance or any problem was left clearly marked. The owner sent an E-mail to check that everything was okay, and phoned the condo as well. I would highly recommend this particular rental to anyone and have kept the E-mail and phone number for family visitors and for visiting clergy to our church.
