Had a great weekend with my girl friends and will return next year with more friends for our annual getaway. Best part was we didn't get in our cars all weekend because the beach and kayaks were right in the backyard. Great place! Great memories!

Beware - Unclean and Unprofessional!

This is an update to a previous review: I recently had the very unfortunate experience of staying at this rental. I wish I could rate less than one star. My experience: 1. Most lights in the house did not work, including porch lights (which made for an interesting entrance since the driveway, steps and porch were covered in ice). Landlord forgot to mention this when we made our reservation! 2. The place had not been cleaned. We paid a cleaning fee and there was urine on the toilet seats, rotten food in the refrigerator, and no one had run a vacuum any time recently. 3. Landlord showed up on the last day and walked into the house without identifying himself to my wife and children. 4. He promised he'd get a snow plow out to plow the driveway but that never happened. We had to ask someone to pull our truck (which has 4-wheel drive) from the driveway because it hadn't been plowed and was covered in ice. While we were there, we: Vacuumed the entire first floor, disinfected the entire kitchen, cleaned out the refrigerator and cleaned all bathrooms. The owner expressed concern about the lack of cleaning and promised he would talk to the cleaners and that we would "work out a credit". After several weeks, he offered a very low, partial credit which he suggested was for the lights, and not for the cleaning. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place!!! **Update** If it isn't already painfully obvious, I would like to point out that the owner clearly wrote the last six reviews. Three of them both claim to have stayed there at the exact same time - 04/08/11. Also, four reviews were written within two days and all six are five star reviews that appear to counter exactly what I wrote in my review. Again, beware...

Owner response: We have been renting our homes for 6 years and have two other vacation rentals in Long Beach Island NJ and Key West. We have over 15 years combined experience and have been landlords for 31 years. This is the first bad review w have ever gotten. When dealing with the public you run across people you just cannot please when they peruse trying to get a discount or to get something free. Our home was left with trash in the yard and kids mess everywhere. They helped them themselves to our butcher block with knives. I am sure we will find other things. We did give them a $50 refund for the outside lights which the storm apparently did knock out. I wish VRBO would have a service for owners to list renters from hell. This response is the second time we have had to address this individual's negative review This person apparently feels the need to delete their original review and repost their negative comments. It is a perfect example of his behavior and what we have had to endure. Should anyone reading this review be interested in seeing pictures of how this individual left the property please feel free to contact us. Again I wish VRBO and Homeaway had a service where owners can provide reviews and/or a list of people you do not want to rent to.

My Family surprised me and planned a great pre-Mother's Day Weekend for me. This cozy cottage with the fireplace was just what I needed. We are planning to return in the late summer to enjoy the beautiful lake view, the sandy beach just steps from the house, and all of the wonderful Lake Naomi amenities. The place was clean, organized and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property and owner. Nice house, nice owner....all around a 10!

Great Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house was lake front with boats that the kids could use and a beach the wife and I loved to spend time at. The house was well maintained with a fireplace my wife just loved. Thank you for a great vacation.

A great rental

We had zero problems and had a great experience. The Landlord was professional and we loved the Poconos scenery and ambiance. We would recommend this rental to our friends. A great weekend!!

Had a great weekend stay over that included skiing with our family. First time renter in Pocono area. The house was as advertised, clean, nice layout, very large (but cozy) living room/fireplace area, and in overall good shape. Great location. We already booked the same house for two weekend ski trips for next year and also a full week in the late summer (because of the direct beach access and activities that Lake Naomi provides). Recommend highly.

Great relaxing weekend. The house was clean and well kept and the view was wonderful. My wife and I are planning on comming up again in the summer with the children and grand children. I highly recommend checking this house out.

We had a great time staying at this property . It was clean comfortable and reasonably priced. Lake front property. Just walk down the path to go swimming! Will definatly stay here again.
