Welcome to Paradise, and the Island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands with pristine powder white sand beaches, dazzling, crystal clear, turquoise waters and world class diving. You can truly relax and enjoy your vacation in peace and tranquility. In the morning, on the beach, look left and then look right. You will be able to count the number of people as far as you can see, walking the miles of beach. In an average year, the Turks and Caicos has 350 days of sunshine.
The condo is located in the Ocean Club West Resort Complex, known for its luscious, tropical gardens. From here, walk to the new IGA Gourmet Grocery store, restaurants, and dive shops.
THE STUDIO CONDO is a 'Junior Suite', twice the size of any other studios, located on the second floor, with an ocean view, utilizing an open concept. It is 950 square feet with a 22 foot screened balcony. Open the 2 sets of 9 foot doors and the balcony becomes part of your living space, day or night. I keep the doors open at night to take advantage of the warm breezes and to hear the ocean. The screened terrace is a big plus anywhere in the Caribbean, particularly if you enjoy evenings on the terrace, dinner or relaxing on the chaise after a day at the beach, in the open air will be bug-free. There is a fully equipped bright kitchen, washer and dryer, and the ocean view.
There is a restaurant/bar onsite. Across the street, you will find restaurants and shops. A 5 minute walk (and yes, only 5 minutes), takes you to even more restaurants and shops. If you care to eat in, there is a brand new IGA Grocery store, walking distance. Ocean Club West is a highly desirable beachfront resort located on a low-density part of the beach on Grace Bay. We're next door to the Grace Bay Club, which was voted as one of the top ten `Boutique Hotels' in the World. . Our other neighbor is The Pinnacle, a private condominium development.
Life on the island is casual. Pants and a golf shirt are acceptable attire at any of the many fine dining restaurants. A championship golf course is only a 5 minute drive away.
From January through to April, the entire Atlantic herd of humpback whales pass by the shores of TCI on their annual migration. In the last decade, divers have begun to discover some of the finest coral reefs and some of the most impressive walls of coral in the Caribbean, great for diving as well as snorkelling. Historic wrecks have been discovered off the shores of Salt Cay.

Daily maid service not included, but a mid-week clean can be arranged.

The description does not do this deluxe studio justice. The unit is immaculate and has every amenity and then some. Lorraine was very helpful. The view is of the courtyard with a partial oceanview. It is tastifully decorated not over the top island theme. OCW is close to the IGA so it is very convenient to cook meals in the unit. It is a fully equipped kitchen. I highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.

We rented this unit from an individual here on VRBO.com, and we could not have been more pleased. When we first arrived, we found the deluxe studio to be exactly what we wanted. It is L shaped, with a large kitchen and large bar for eating in. A huge screened in porch overlooking the gardens, the pool, and the ocean in the background. This unit has cool tile floors, a comfy bed, and a large square soaking tub. Unfortunately the AC was having problems, and wouldn't work but the owner was more than helpful and had it fixed the next day. AC is not a requirement for me, but my wife likes to cool off and dry the unit before turning in. We were there 7 nights, and we had a nice quiet time. We are divers, so our day consisted of an early breakfast, off to Caicos Adventures at 8AM, and back by 3PM. A snack, a nap, and it was off for some evening excitment. The Seaside Cafe, which is on site, had really great food. Caicos Cafe was a short walk, and had excellent Conch Creole, and excellent Lobster. Everything, including a brand new IGA is within walking distance. We rented a car for a few days so we could go to Da Conch Shack on Thursday night, and go kayaking at Leeward, but a vehicle is not needed if you want to just enjoy the area, and enjoy one of the top ten beaches in the world. I cannot thank the owner enough for the stellar way she handled our AC challenge, and we will surely be back!
