We were at this place with family for couple of nights it was a pleasent experience. It was definately one of the best places i ever stayed. - this is right on the beach. - place is very nicely maintained and very comfortable. - sand dunes recreational area is just couple of miles. - even downtown area is not that far. - you can camp fire just outside the house on beach. Finally i think its worth every penny , you won't regret staying here believe me.

Dangerous beach, poor neighborhood
Dangerous beach, poor neighborhood
We stayed 4 nights over the memorial weekend. The condo is clean for the most part. The downstairs bathroom has no ventilation ( fan out of order) which makes it semi unusable. The condo is located right at the entrance of all the trucks and RV's. It is impossible to lounge on the beach or relax on the sand, as the steady stream of cars use the sand as a two way highway. This goes on all day and all night. Our car was broken into over night at the condo, parked in the underground parking structure. The parking is gated, however the gate is ver easy to jump for motivated thieves. They damaged our window and stole everything they could out of the car. The owner has no renters insurance and did not care at all after hearing our story. I don't recommend staying here, unless you want to be a victim of theft. Spend a little more and stay at a better neighborhood.

Owner response: Our beautiful, well appointed, two story condo is right on the beach on Strand Way, where Pier Avenue meets the beach. All major living areas look out to the beach and crashing waves. Any major holiday with good weather, like Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, etc., is busy at any beach, and this beach is no exception. Strand Way is a great neighborhood in the charming little town of Oceano, 3 miles south of the Pismo Beach pier. This is by where cars can be driven on the beach (but not all night long), and where ATVs can be trailered to where these can be ridden 1 mile + south of us (but not in front of the Strand Way properties). It can be very entertaining to watch as you sip wine from your private balcony patio with whitewater views up and down the coast. If this is not for you, then come off season, particularly October through May (avoiding holidays), and enjoy a price reduction, generally less fog and and not as windy, and not nearly as busy on the beach or in the restaurants. I responded immediately to this woman when she complained that her car had been broken into during her stay over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. She said she had about $500 in missing items, but she didn't file a police report because they didn't notice anything missing until they were "on the road" (even though the "window was broken"). She asked me to file a claim for her through our "renters insurance". I tried to explain that our deductible would be more than her claim, even if our insurance company did cover car break-ins (which they don't), and that they wouldn't approve a claim anyway without an incident report. She was mad because we wouldn't give her a refund, and interpreted our responses to mean that we "didn't care". To be honest, it's not at all that we don't care or were unsympathetic. It's just that 30 years of property management experience has taught us that when people complain in this manner, it's usually because they're looking for a refund. Which they were.
This condo was the perfect destination for family who were visiting from the Midwest...falling asleep to the crash of waves was indeed a treat for us all. It's just a quick drive from LA and provided the peace and quite we sought out situated directly on the beach! Everything we could have wanted was provided in the condo. We were so comfortable and we felt at home instantly. The owners have opened up their home and I can't wait to go back. It was perfect and I've already recommended it to friends!

I took my family and we loved it, it has everything you need. It's a beautiful home and located on the beach. My kids loved that they could run down and play on the beach, I could watch them from the patio. We will go back next year.

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It is built really well - you couldn't hear anything from room to room. It is very secure. The accomodations were wonderful, comfortable and extremely homey. We are planning to go back next year. Very, very nice.

What a beautiful place to stay! Gorgeous views, step out the back gate into the soft warm sand and only a few steps from the ocean, play in the pool within a few feet of your door, relax in the fabulous great room - every room is so tastefully decorated - the beds were so comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked - We would not change a thing! This is definitely somewhere we will visit again! Thanks Norma & Ron!

About the owner: We just love the beach, which is why we bought this two story condo right on the sand.
Why the Owner Chose Pismo Beach:
This is our 'ol' stompin' grounds'. We have always wanted a place right on the beach, so chose to buy this rental. We use it as much as we can when it's not rented.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
You can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves, watch incredible sunsets from your private patio(s). You can even see pods of whales, and dolphins and seals playing in the surf, from the privacy of your own balcony patio. Some GREAT restaurants close by, too.
