  We go to Santa Rosa every year and have stayed at several properties in Old Fl Village. The best thing I can say is that we will check the availability at Blue Lagoon first next year. It was the perfect size for our two families and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, which makes a huge difference when you are using them for a week. The on-demand and streaming options came in handy on the one rainy day. And the owner and concierge were extremely helpful and accommodating. Thank you for helping us have another great family vacation.

  Our family rented The Blue Lagoon for 2013 Spring Break and WOW...what a great house! We were traveling with our two teenagers (and two of their friends) and this spot could not have been more ideal for what we needed. Like other reviewers have mentioned, you often wind up with a rental that looks much better in photos than in reality and this was certainly not the case. The house is light and airy and has all of the comforts and conveniences of home...including up-to-date appliances, a well stocked kitchen, wifi, cable, televisions and DVD players in every room (a big bonus for the kids) and a washer and dryer (a big bonus for me). There was plenty of room for the 6 of us to spend time together and apart. The porch off of the master bedroom quickly became our "go to" spot in the late afternoons/early evenings and is perfect for reading a book or taking a snooze. We also had our two small dogs in tow and needed a pet friendly spot. The fenced-in backyard was ideal for them (and another quiet spot for reading for me) and the neighborhood is VERY pet friendly! The beaches are some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen...with clear water and sugar white sand. It's an easy 10 minute walk, but you may consider driving/riding a bike if you have beach gear. There is plenty of free daily parking along 30A (we parked next to Goatfeathers). With four teenage boys, food was always a priority and thankfully there is an abundance of restaurants and a Publix nearby. Seaside is the spring break hotspot and is a quick, scenic 10 minute drive down 30A. It has great shops and restaurants but can get very congested and noisy, so Santa Rosa was the perfect distance away. No matter what you interests are, there is truly something for everyone here and we can't recommend the area or the Blue Lagoon enough. Can't wait to get back!!!!

  We rented this home for Spring Break 2012 (sorry for the late review!!). We were looking for a dog-friendly home, and one of the main things that drew us to this one specifically is the fact that the rental fee is all inclusive. How nice it was to locate a home within our budget without having to calculate in all the taxes, cleaning fees, pet fees, etc. When we arrived at the home we could not have been more pleased. Although it may sound silly, I frequently see beach houses that look beautiful on the outside, but are a major disappointment inside. Blue Lagoon was the exact opposite. Kudos to whoever was responsible for decorating this home. Not only is it beautiful inside, but it is also extremely comfortable. The decor is very light and beachy, yet casual and elegant at the same time. There was plenty of room for us and our kids to enjoy a vacation with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend, but also just enough space for us to be able to spend some time apart within the same home. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Great neighborhood, very quiet. Walking distance to the beach. We loved sitting out on the master balcony at any time of day or night. The weather was nice enough that we opened the windows throughout the house almost every day of the trip. There were games, books and DVDs in the home for entertainment, and a carry-on size cooler for toting refreshments to the beach. Although the house was clean and in great condition when we arrived, there were a few small things we noticed that made us think the cleaning company was lacking a bit. Nothing major, just a few things missed like laundry left in the dryer from the previous tenants, a little sand in the living room...small things that did not ultimately distract us from the excellence of this rental. Ran into a slight issue with the WiFi, but one call and they were on top of it! All in all, perfect rental for an awesome price. Once we returned home we received the cutest thank-you card with the home's theme/logo printed on the front...what a nice touch. We cannot wait to get back to Blue Lagoon!

  This is a great rental! The pics are very accurate! The house was wonderful, and the location was,too. The beach is approximately 1/4 mile away...within walking distance, but better biking distance. There are many rental agencies (for bikes, paddle boards, kayaks) very close by and they deliver to your doorstep. A Publix is also very close by for groceries. I highly recommend this for a family getaway! Seaside is about 5 miles to the west, and so are the crowds. This area is much less congested.

  Blue Lagoon is the perfect house for a weeklong getaway. The house suited our family well. The unit was clean and very accommodating. The kitchen is well-equipped with extras that other rental houses we've stayed in didn't have; above and beyond expectations. The house is light, airy, and definitely gives that beach feel! The area is quiet and laid-back; not the Spring Break party scene like PCB or Destin. Close to Destin and Seaside for shopping and eating galore though. Easy walk to beach; would recommend renting chairs and umbrella so you don't have to carry! Overall, LOVED IT!

  This is a great vacation spot! This home is perfectly suited for a large family or 2 families vacationing together. It was very clean and decorated very tastefully and a very short walk or bikeride to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking gadgets, utensils, dishes, glassware and silverware. This made it very easy to prepare meals as if you were in your own kitchen. The newer model Weber Gas Grill was the icing on the cake! The neighborhood is quaint and quiet for the most part and very relaxing. I strongly recommend this home if you are looking for a clean and safe place to stay!
