Why the Owner Chose Donner Lake
We chose Donner Lake for one reason only. Donner Lake reminded us of what Lake Tahoe used to be like 30 years ago. It was quiet, peaceful and uncrowded. Donner Lake has that quiet, intimate and small town quality about it. It is incredably relaxing and rejuvinating. The views of the lake will absolutely take your breathe away. The quality and care that was put into the building of this luxury home cannot be surpassed. It is truly lovely.
The Unique Benefits at this House
First and foremost it is the quiet relaxing atmosphere it provides. The lake is right off the back of the house with 5 public piers available for fishing or tying up your boat. Old town Truckee is a very charming and upscale area with great shopping and dining and only a 5 minute drive away. There are a half dozen ski resorts and golf courses within a 20 minute drive of the house. In the winter time there is easy access to the house without having to climb slippery outdoor stairs and we snowblow the driveway every morning for your convenience.

My family and I rented this house from June 4-June 6 and loved everything about it. The house and all of it's amenities are top of the line. From the stainless steal appliances in the kitchen to the heated floors in the bathrooms! And the location could not have been better - an easy drive to downtown Truckee, but right across the street from the lake. Every single one of us spent our share of time enjoying the view and the scenery from the 2nd floor balcony. Also, Alan was great to work with and made everything very easy for us. We will definitely be back!!

What a great time. We had a wonderful Easter here. It snowed and the sun was out. The grandkids skied, and tubbed, we even played baseball across the street. Very peaceful. We all had such a nice time. The house is very beautiful. We hope to come back again.
