My wife's parents rented this Villa in St. Maarten for the whole family to join them. We all had an excellent time and very much enjoyed the accommodations. Our family has 3 small children so the pool was a blast and we were easily able to nap the kids without having a mass migration off the beach. The view is breathtaking, and the location is situated where we could get to most places on the island without difficulty. We could tell that close attention to detail and craftsmanship went into the villa.

When entering Villa Suzanne, you are awestruck by the surrounding views and quality of the residence. The home lacks for nothing. There are 4 master bedrooms, with ample closet space and each with its own bath, equal to what one would expect in a home of this nature. Each room boasts a view of the ocean. The VBRO pictures do not do the home justice. The home is well maintained by Katherine. After a week of being spoiled by Katherine, it is no wonder that she is asked to return to the States by all who stay here. The Villa over looks Dawn Beach, one of the least crowded and best beaches on the island. The home enjoys amazing views of sunrise; it is an easy walk to the beach. But perhaps what we will miss the most, is the ample outdoor eating areas. The constant breeze keeps the temperatures moderate and with the night lighting, it sets a most romantic dining experience; even when surrounded by family or friends. The home is adjacent to the Westin Hotel which provides the services one has come to expect. A nice gym, spa, restaurants and casino, a five minute walk away. I highly recommend this home. The owners are very helpful supplying information and has someone to greet you at the airport to guide you to your home for the week. The owners accomodate your every need, from cribs, to bbq's. Just ask and it can be arranged, Due to the size of our family, we ate home most nights. One night Katherine arranged for a friend of hers to cook a Carribean meal at the house. Our lips are still burning from the hot sauce, but our adult children can't stop talking about it. If you want a fun beach bar try the Dinghy Dock in Oyster Pond. With beers at $1.50 overlooking a marina, friendly people, you can't go wrong. I would rent a car while on island. The home is a short, albeit bumpy, road to the main thoroughfares which lead to Marigot, Grand Case or Phillipsburg. There is a Fresh Market which provides all the fresh produce or you can stop at the stands at the side of the road. Main provisioning was done at Grande Marche. There you can find all of the brands from theUSA plus those from all over the world.; not to mention a surprisingly extensive wine selection. The employees wear t-shirts with "May I help You" and help they do...from pointing you to the right isle to carrying the groceries to the car. We would come back in a heartbeat. If the home was not rented, we would have stayed another week.

It's hard to describe the breath taking beauty of Villa Suzanne without mentioning the owner's attention to detail that they put into everything. The pre-trip planning and communication we received from them was professional yet filled with personal touches regarding what to do, where to eat and what to see on St. Maarten. A welcome basket of goodies and champagne was waiting for us when we arrived and they had arranged for the caretaker to meet us at the airport. The friendly villa caretakers were always available during our stay and this extra touch made the vacation experience highly enjoyable for everyone. Nothing was over-looked in the villa. The cupboards and cabinets were well stocked with everything one needed; from a collection of great book titles, a library of soothing music CD's and fun DVD movie titles to lots of gourmet kitchen ware which made cooking on vacation easy. In fact, we made dinner at the villa 5 of the 10 nights during our stay; grilling fresh local fish on the barbeque and eating on the pool deck over-looking the ocean. The villa's bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious with walk-in marbled showers and beautiful, cozy and canopied beds. It was such a treat to come back from a day of scuba diving to find freshly made-up beds and a spotless villa. There were 8 adults on our family vacation celebrating a recent college graduation and the villa was spacious, private and roomy enough for all of us to enjoy. It's located in a secured development of beautiful estates and although one does need a car to go into town, the 3 minute walk to the beach below was easy. The sturdy, iron door locks were the only challenging part of the entire vacation. The fresh water pool and tropical gardens were always well maintained and an outdoor bench housed a variety of pool toys and sunsreens. The views from the villa took in the island of St. Barts and you could watch the personal yatchs, sail boats and the island ferry make their way into Oyster Bay and Dawn Beach. We choose Villa Suzanne and St. Marteen because both offerred our family, with college aged, young adults, a variety of vacation experiences and adventures. The kids played tennis in town, snorkeled at Pinel Is., went on long hilly runs around the villa, swam at Dawn Beach and we all loved eating on the French side in Marigot at the Tropicanna-twice- it was that good- a true taste of Paris right on the water. Thank you for a pefect May-June vacation to remember at Villa Suzanne!
