Why the Owner Chose Homewood
Our family has traveled to Lake Tahoe every winter since the kids could walk. We rented lots of houses which we shared with another family most of the time. This is where our kids became skiers and snowboarders. It was only when we purchased our house on the West Shore that we understood the charms of Tahoe in summer. We decided that our Tahoe home would be comfortable for two families to enjoy as we had. We love it here, and now that we are no longer renting, our twenty-something kids and their friends actually like coming to visit when we are not renting. We rent to keep the house afloat so we can enjoy it during various open times.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love to sit on the deck in the evenings and listen to the wind rustling in the pine trees. On cool nights we light the firepit and don't go in until after dark. Sometime we see wildlife out for an evening stroll. We also greet our neighbors doing the same.
Public and private beach with public access to pier, bar and restaurant in summer months.
Great family resort with reasonable prices. Paintball, biking and art fairs in the summer.

My husband and I are fifty something and are trying to add some more fun to our lives. When I come up from the Bay Area and we are driving over Donner Pass, I can almost feel all my cares floating away and Tahoe is where we relax. It is a magical place any time of the year.
