Beautiful Kiahuna Plantation is the only condo resort located on world-renown Poipu Beach. Enjoy strolling through 35 acres of tropical paradise with gardens of graceful orchids and unusual cactus. The buildings are plantation style with louver shutters on the windows and ceiling fans circulating the ocean breeze throughout the condo.
Our condo, #167 located in Building 26, is a ground floor, end unit with partial ocean view and a semi-private lanai, a one-minute walk to the ocean! Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while dining in or grill dinner on one of the two barbecues next to the lagoon just steps away. The beach hut, which supplies towels, chairs and snorkeling equipment to rent is also just a one minute walk from the condo.
We keep the condo up to date. New in 2010: Cabinet doors and drawers and knobs. New in 2011: Flooring and upholstery in the living and dining area and new carpeting in the bedroom. New in 2012: California king mattress in bedroom, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, some small appliances, queen-sized high quality memory foam mattress for pull-out sofa.
Kiahuna Plantation resort has a pool with slide, jacuzzi, sandy kiddie area and food and drink service, complimentary tennis, several nearby golf courses, shops, and restaurants in walking distance.
Kauai is a nature lovers dream! Spouting Horn is a natural phenomena just 2.5 miles away from Kiahuna Plantation. Enjoy a scenic drive up Waimea Canyon and take in the sweeping views of the Na Pali coast. There are many wonderful places to snorkel on the island, including right in front of the resort. Surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing are also right there. Hiking trails are numerous on the island as well. The Heritage Trail is right in front of Kiahuna. Follow it north to the Hyatt where just beyond you can enjoy a peaceful walk over lithified dunes. It is also a great place to whale-watch December-April.

Thank you for the use of your wonderful condo! We greatly enjoyed the property: relaxing on the lawn and beach, bbqing, meals on the lanai, and watching the beautiful sunsets. Our sightssing highlights included takina a helicopter tour, driving up Waimea Canyon and hiking the Mahulepu trail. Meals at the Plantation Gardens and the Beach House were great. We arrived late Thursday afternoon and have enjoyed a beautiful sunset every night. The weather has been perfect with just a few showers here & there. We are sad to leave this little piece of paradise today. This home was a wonderful start to our honeymoon! Perfect location to the beach and easy walk or drive to great food and fun activities. Wonderful meals at Tidepools (Grand Hyatt), Puka Dogs and Hyatt Luau. Mark's Place in Pihu and Saiman in Lihue were great local food recommendations from the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. Beautiful and relaxing tour of Allerton Gardens and VERY fun Mountain ATV tour at Kipu Ranch. Be sure to drive to the very last lookout at Waimea Canyon Drive!
