Backdune Cottage is located six miles from the twin towns of Whitehall and Montague straddling the White River . Whitehall is home to Howmet Theater and has several live productions every summer. Montague has a staging area for the 24 mile Hart-Montague bicycle trail with free concerts on Tuesday nights at the bandshell in the park and a farmers market on Saturdays. Both towns have art galleries, coffee shops and ample shopping. Michigan Adventure water park is 10 minutes driving distance, Blue Lake fine arts camp 15 minutes; Double JJ Ranch and Golf Resort about 25 minutes.Weekly rentals only(saturday-saturday)during the high season (Jun-Aug)
