The Unique Benefits at this House

As a young 20-something couple we honeymooned on the Oregon Coast and fell in love with it. We always had a dream to own an ocean front or ocean view vacation home in the area... now we do! The Yaquina House is in a great location, immediately adjacent to the park and a short walk to either Nye Beach or the Bay Front areas. We love to just gaze out at the ocean and what a great place for bird watching... the variety of birds are amazing.

Granma's Memorial Family Reunion

We had relatives come up from Texas for our Grandma's Memorial/Life Celebration. We all loved the view and comfort of the house. It was adequate for all 12 of us and it was so great having lots of dishes to use for dinners! The conversation area was definitely put through its paces through the week - great place to gather and fellowship!! The beach was only a short seven minute easy walk! And having the park next door to walk through was also a special treat. Thanks so much for sharing your home in this awesome place!

This is a great beach house! We had lots of room and all of our family was confortable. The view is breathe taking! The decor is older, but if fine for a beach house. Just be aware you will have a difficult time getting your deposit back. The directions were not clear and we were charged for laundry. It was still worth the stay. We will be stay again. LOVED IT!!!!

Owner response:Glad you had a good time! The $300.00 cleaning/damage deposit is refunded less the actual cost for maid service which includes cleaning, laundry, and garbage removal (and damage, if any).

[entered from printed guestbook] Thanksgiving at the Yaquina Bay and House Arriving to the beautiful Yaquina House, I was greeted by 11 loving family members along with large sheets of the Oregon rain. Spending time with family I haven't seen for 2 years was a great joy, eliminating of complaints of rain. Bond with cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents has been a delight to my and their hearts. Thank you.

[entered from printed guestbook] The Hugo/Magnussen Summer Beach Trip went very well. First time in this house and I think it is safe to say that we'll be back. Our party of 11 had a great time. This was the first getaway for Baby Cameron (8 weeks) and Baby Spencer (13 weeks). Nice to have rooms on 3 floors - adds to the possibility of (?) rest and relax. Take care and Cheers! C-Ya next time.

[entered from printed guestbook] This was to be a vacation with my Mother, showing her love of the ocean with my family and my sisters families here in OR. Sadly, she passed away a month ago. I'm so glad we continued with our plans to come. My son and family from Vegas were here in the beginning of the week and son from San Francisco this weekend. My sisters family from all over Oregon came and went at different times during the week. Two days there was just my sister, her husband and myself. There was plenty of time to sight see some and explore shops on the Bay Front. There was so much room to sleep and room to store provisions. The most we had was 10 one night - average 7. We saw a beautiful sunset the first night. What a sight to behold! The view from the dining area - couldn't ask for better. Went the last night to Georgies and had a delicious meal. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your lovely home and for all the kindness and consideration for the family. It was good to be together. I know Mom was here with us and had the best view!

[entered from printed guestbook]We just finished 2 weeks at this wonderful spot on the Oregon Coast. We grandparents, are from Arizona and we were here in the middle of a nationwide heat wave. 115° in Arizona, 105° in Corvallis. The only cool place in the nation was the Northwest Coast. Our sons' family came from Arizona and our daughters' family from Corvallis. We spent a lot of time on the beach, picnics, had a murder mystery party (Rome and togas) and the last night watched the paramedics and fire department rescue a man who fell down the cliff right behind the house. Good action drama. Thanks for such a lovely place.
