Our fully furnished condo is less than a five minute walk to the beach, all paved access. Back deck overlooks the #18 tee-box of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. We are a short walk to the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, kayak and bike rental, general store, Alexander's Restaurant, and the Robert Trent Jones clubhouse.
The entire villa has high speed wireless internet access. The first floor contains a fully-equipped kitchen; dining room with seating for eight; living room with two couches, cable TV, VCR and DVD player; back deck with chairs, tables and a grill overlooking #18; and two full baths. The Master Bedroom has a king bed and cable TV. The second floor has two bedrooms, one with two double beds and ene with two extended length twins. Both bedrooms have full bathrooms and balconies.
This is a smoke-free and pet-free condo that had new tile laid on the first floor, new kitchen cabinets and counter tops, and new bedding September 2010.

Why the Owner Chose Hickory Cove Villas
We really like Palmetto Dunes. We are minutes away from bike and canoe rentals, golf, tennis fishing, etc. Also, we are a 5 minute walk from the beach on paved roads and trails...close enough that even with kids and strollers it's manageable. Our back yard faces the fairway of the Trent Jones Golf Course, so even the view from the back deck is nice.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We are in a gated community so there is more privacy than on other parts of the island. That said, major renovation of the "Dunes House" 100 yards from where we enter the beach provides food and restroom access right on the beach...no need to run back to the condo.

Our extended family has vacationed in Hilton Head for over 30 years. We decided in 2005 to buy a condo for two reasons; we like the location of our condo and enjoy staying there ourselves, and we wanted to share our enjoyment of the island with other families like ours.

Our family of 6 (=+1 extra kid) truly enjoyed this condo. The sleeping arrangements were perfect, as we had 4 girls and 1 boy, plus 2 adults. Our daughters all shared the room with the double beds and our son had a room to himself. Each bedroom had its own bath, but there was an extra full bath on the main floor, besides the Master bath. The beach was a 5 minute walk and the pool was about 1 minute away, although the pool was heated too hot in June and no one spent too much time there. That should be addressed. The condo was clean and neat and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a nice deck with plenty of chairs and a charcoal grill. The mattress in the Master bedroom was the most comfortable we have ever slept in... it was better than ours at home. We took a picture of the label so we could try to find one at home. Great place. Owners were easy to work with. Definitely on our list to stay again. I would say the only negative was that the community pool was too hot.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at this villa in 3/06. A very very nice place, it was clean, very comfortable and very spacious. The Kitchen area is perfect with all the equipment to meet your needs. The walk to the beach is quick and easy. There is a convenience store within walking distance. We all had a wonderful time and will stay here again during our next visit.
