Sitting right on the Watauga River between Boone and Banner Elk, Riverwalk is a family-friendly cottage that fits any budget. Sunny with easy level access, this home is a great value any time of year! Recently redecorated with all new furniture, custom drapes, quality goose-down comforters and handmade mountain quilts, it’s easy to relax and unwind.
Inside you will find three bedrooms and two full baths. The master has a queen poster bed, and there’s a comfortable easy chair perfect to curl up in with a good book, or just enjoy the view of the river. There is a full bath with step-in shower that leads from this bedroom to the second bedroom. This bedroom features a vintage iron queen sleigh bed, comfortable furnishings and river view. Both of these bedrooms also feature the MagnaDreamPad™ - these magnetic mattress pads are used at the exclusive Rosewood Resort and Spa in Los Cabos for their Oceanview Spa suites, cost: $3000-4000 per night!. The third bedroom is just right for the kids, with bunk bed (twin on top, double on bottom), their own television and lots of games.
The living room features more comfortable furnishings, a gas fireplace, and of course, river view! There is a small kitchen and dining room with seating for six. From here, step out onto the back deck – there is an outdoor dining area, gas grill perfect for preparing the trout you caught just steps away in the river, and the hot tub to relax in anytime. There is also a level lawn area for the kids to run, and a creek coming in on one side of the property.
Riverwalk is conveniently located in the Mill Ridge community, which features an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, picnic areas, horseshoes, clubhouse and hiking trails up the old ski slope. All of these amenities are a short walk from this home. There is even a beautiful duck pond with waterfalls, weeping willows, and benches, perfect for contemplating the beauty of the surrounding mountains, right in front of the cottage. For those who prefer to relax indoors, there is cable television in each bedroom as well as the living area, and wireless internet. No matter the season, Riverwalk is a vacation rental that you will want to come back to again and again.
This home has paved access all the way to the driveway, and is a dog-friendly home.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.
