"My husband, two teenage children and I enjoyed a very relaxing 4 nights at the Taos House. The location off Blueberry Hill road is very convenient and secluded. The views out the living room window are gorgeous at both sunrise and sunset. The radiant floor heating and the corner fireplace kept the house warm and cozy during our December stay. My husband and I both brought our laptops and the wireless Internet access was great! When we next visit Taos we will definitely try and rent this house again!"

We survived the month of July, 2011, in this mess of a house. If you are a fan of old books, no dresser for your clothes, poor lighting, no window coverings to keep the sun out, old dead bugs and filth, then this is the place for you. It would be hard to describe what the property manager is like. We had to beg for a lamp in the living room, light bulb replacements, new batteries for the remotes. and a large pot to cook pasta (she always forgot that). Meanwhile she was dropping by unannounced to get things she needed. As people who have rented houses on VRBO over a dozen times in the USA and abroad, if you want to experience the very worst place look no further than this one.

My wife and I stay in this sweet house in the summer of 2009 for five weeks. Our communication with the owners' daughter, who lives nearby, was easy, friendly, and fun. The house itself is very comfortable with lovely personal artwork which adds to the sense of being a welcome guest. Though the house has A/C, there was never a need to use it for the entire time (July into August). This is a convenient, private, close to the "end of fhe road" kind of place with grand views overlooking Taos. Our stay here began a process of falling in love with Taos --- to the point where we moved to Taos a year later. So beware, a stay here could lead to big changes in your life! :-)
Owner response:I just noticed that George and Reggie mentioned that the house has A/C--probably because the house has a thermostat for the radiant heat. I just want to make sure renters know we do not have A/C. We do have ceiling fans!
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Thank you so much! What a cozy house-beautiful scenery, warm fire, hard to leave to explore Taos, but we did... Incredible! The Enchanted Circle--so beautiful and Taos was everything we had heard-so inspiring. We had a really memorable weekend.
