We had a wonderful stay in this townhouse - it's close to shops, the beach, downtown Charleston...pretty much everywhere you'd want to visit. The townhouse is fully stocked with anything you could want, we didn't cook nearly as much as we thought but there was plenty of pots, pans, etc if we had wanted to. There were only two of us staying, but the place is huge and could easily accommodate more. The outdoor patio was a nice place to relax after a day out exploring Charleston. The area itself is nice and quiet, we only heard cars drive down the street a few times and almost never saw anyone else around. Parking right outside the door was convenient after coming back from the grocery store or the beach - we didn't have to drag our belongings a long distance. The rental process was simple and painless - we will definitely try to rent again the next time we're in the Charleston area! Thank you Kathy!!!

We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Kathy was so helpful with directions. The townhouse was WELL stocked. The BROWNIES were delicious. I enjoyed walking to the Old Pitt Bridge every morning. We would stay there again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this townhouse for a week in July. The weather was very hot and humid, but the air conditioned townhouse was delightful. This home is very tastefully decorated and well supplied with everything that you need to feel like you are in your own home. It is clean and comfortable! The location is just fabulous for sightseeing in Charleston or lounging at the beach. We would love to return again sometime!!!!

We stayed here Nov. 9-16, 2010; all was immaculate, well-equipped and just as described. Wine, flowers & home-baked goodies were a warm welcome. Loved being in a neighborhood rather than hotel, especially this friendly one where folks waved, smiled, said 'hi, how y'all doin' as we passed by. It was a pleasure to 'stay home' some evenings, cook our own meal, watch a video, read a book (Kathy & Steve have provided several). Downtown Charleston and tourist attractions are a short drive. Lots of info in the rental on what to do/see. For less-touristy fun we enjoyed Pitt St.Bridge at sunset or any time; Mt Pleasant's Old Village (other end of Pitt St.- check out authentic drugstore soda fountain!), both easy walks. Also Palmetto Islands County Park for a peaceful nature walk/beautiful scenery, and waterfront park/fishing pier under Cooper River Bridge. This was our first visit to S.Carolina and we left with many photos and fond memories. Now, get this! I accidentally left some clothes behind and Kathy kindly mailed them back to me. Talk about above and beyond!

Thanks very much for renting to us on short notice. We really appreciate your hospitality -- especially the brownies and wine. The weather was totally seasonal (hot and sunny) and Earl passed us by. Your rental really is like staying in a friend's home. We also want to thank you for being available for a quick question on the phone. When you said all we had to do was pack our clothes, you weren't kidding. We added a bit to the supplies in the kitchen and left some sea shells on the patio (we found more than we had room to bring home). Loved reading the comments and local suggestions in the guestbook and added a couple of new places we liked. If we get a chance to head to Charleston again, we'll definitely check on your rental. And to show friends where we stayed, we'll just send them to your VRBO page. Thanks again!

We just got back from spending a long Memorial Day weekend here and had such a great time. Everything we needed was there and I couldn't get over how clean and tidy the place was. Thanks so much for the yummy brownies and wine. We enjoyed them both and then had a nice workout running out towards Fort Moultrie. Bring your running/walking shoes, and/or bikes because there is a perfect path that takes you to the beautiful harbor views. So many greats restaurants and shops in the area and a perfect place to come back to at night to rest. Thanks again, we will tell all our friends to come your way.

We rented the townhouse for two weeks over the Christmas holidays and were delighted. We enjoyed the location in Old Mount Pleasant...an easy drive to the historic district, beaches, great restaurants and shopping. The townhouse is private and quiet, very clean and cozy. It also has everything you will need except groceries. We even found Christmas cookies and brownies waiting for us, a bottle of wine. Plus there was a Christmas tree and decorations. We have rented properties many times before in Europe, Florida, California, and Mexico. This place is the most comfortable rental we have ever had. We were amazed to find coffee, filters, spices, laundry detergent, a full size washer and dryer, a closet full of linens. And it is in a quiet, safe location with very easy access to the Charleston historic district and local beaches. It really felt like HOME and we will definitely stay here when we visit Charleston again.

Kathy and Steve, we had a wonderful 2 1/2 month stay in your townhouse this winter. You made it a lovely and convenient place to stay (spotless when we arrived and so very well equipped), but the best part was the hosts! You did everything possible to make our stay great. We want to tell future guests that there are so many great things to do, places to eat, etc. in the lovely Charleston area and the simple way to find out about them is to just ask Kathy, your hostess. She was a fount of great information that made our stay there especially great! We definitely hope to come again and stay even longer next time and we would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

Hi Kathy and Steve, We love your townhouse very much. It was sparkling clean, quiet and close to everything. Your wonderful treats put 5lbs on us, but it's vacation time!!! Not only that, I made a wonderful long distance friend!! The info you left was helpful and we realized there is just too much to see and do in one trip. Thanks for your tip on lunch. We saw the dolphins on the Shem while we ate. It was FANTASTIC. Next time I might even try the "She crab" soup. Beds were so comfortable. Thanks again.

Dear Kathy and Steve, We've greatly enjoyed our stay in your lovely home! The weather has been marvelous! We went to Sullivans Island-it's beautiful! We visited the forts, the Aquarium, and the Plantation. We took the water taxi and walked the streets of Charleston again. It was all wonderful. We're sorry we missed you at Red's, But it took us some time to get there. We liked our meal there and at Hyman's and the Shem Creek restaurant.
