Meadowlark Cottage, on Flathead Lake between Big Arm and Elmo, is the perfect summer rental cabin for a couple seeking privacy and a waterfront location. Come enjoy our refreshingly moderate climate, easy access to restaurants and cultural events, and the finest nature has to offer. Be sure to sample the locally grown sweet cherries in late July.
Go for a stroll, jog, or hike along Meadowlark Lane and continue into Big Arm State Park which begins where Meadowlark Lane ends, about a half mile from your door.
Watch deer, beaver, eagles, and osprey from your window or deck, or drive just over an hour to visit Glacier National Park, the Jewel Basin Hiking Area, or the National Bison Range. Wild Horse Island, a day use recreation area accessible only by boat, is just minutes away from our dock.
At 28 miles long and 15 miles wide, Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. It also has the distinction of being one of the cleanest lakes in the world.
Kayaks and canoes can be launched right from your 100 feet of private, level shoreline. Larger boats can be launched at Big Arm State Park, a short walk or drive away, and can moor at the shared dock adjacent to your cottage. A buoy is provided for overnight docking.
Fine dining, live theater, music, movies, festivals, and more are found all around Flathead Lake from Polson to Bigfork and beyond.
This delightful lakefront cottage is finished in blue pine and rustic barnwood, with unique lighting fixtures and wall treatments. The master bedroom has a queen bed and there are bunkable twin beds in the second bedroom at the other end of the cabin. All rooms face Flathead Lake, only 50 feet away, with the exception of the bathroom.
Dish Network TV is available for your use in a bunkhouse adjacent to your property. A TV in the cottage receives limited local stations. You are welcome to use the host's easily accessible computer to check your email.
All linens, paper products, and cleaning supplies are provided but maid service is not, except by special arrangement. Laundry facilities are located on the adjacent property in the host's entry area utility room.
Meadowlark Cottage may be rented for two weeks or longer from June 15th to September 15th. Substantial discounts are available for full month rentals, and dates before June 15 and after September 15. One week rentals are accepted before Jun 15 & after Sep 15.
