We spent a week at the Kauai Cottage and wished we could have stayed longer! It is a little "out of the way", but that's the way we like our vacations. We loved being able to save a few bucks by eating breakfast at home, having a fridge to keep snacks in, and even relax at home for an evening (much easier on the budget than constantly eating out). The view is beautiful and there's a nice deck to enjoy your morning coffee from. And...the bed!!! I slept better than I do at home! The owner is helpful and attentive but stays out of the way unless you ask for assistance! I recommend this place very highly if you're trying to enjoy Kauai away from the resorts!!
Owner response:Thank for your review, we are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us! We love to share our little piece of Paradise with our guests and we look forward to seeing you again. Mahalo nui loa and aloha till we meet again . . .

Thank you for the wonderful week we had the pleasure to spend in your lovely cottage. We found everything as expected and you both were most helpful in all our little needs. This is a beautiful Island, deserving of it's name of "Garden Island." We hope to come again for a visit. Aloha and again Mahalo!

The Kauai Cottage has proven to be the perfect home base for our first adventure in Kauai. It was conveniently located for all of the activities that we had planned and offered all of the amenities that we needed. We had a wonderful stay. So thank you for sharing your cottage with us. We are sorry to leave so soon, but for now, it is on to the next island! Mahalo!

We had a very relaxing visit here at the Kauai Cottage. Loved the quiet -- and the bed! I think we are getting used to the sounds of the morning -- the birds! Great snorkeling at Salt Pond Beach, and great beach in Kekaha -- empty!! Thanks for all the comforts of this great cottage!

Thanks so much for the use of your cottage. Great sounds, cute goat, lovely having access to a cooler, beach mats, towels & your Kauai guide book! Loved eating out at Roy's, Pomodoro & Kalaheo Cafe! Did a great tour of Na Pali coast with Na Pali Explorer, kayaked the Wailua River, saw the waterfall, Waimea Canyon hikes and beaches, beaches, beaches!! Without a doubt, we will be returning here to the Kauai Cottage! Mahalo!

Thank you so much for providing your cozy "Kauai Cottage" and all the extras (chairs, mats, towels) for the beach. Your advice and recommendations were great -- we loved Pomodoro Restaurant! We really enjoyed exploring the beaches and shoreline alll along the south coast. We are heading to the north shore and are hoping that the visibility will improve -- we still hope to see Waimea Canyon. Kauai is a beautiful island and we are thoroughly enjoying our stay!!

We have enjoyed our time here at your peaceful cottage. The grounds are lovely and the extras in the cottage made our stay very comfortable. We left Kalaheo each day to explore. These were the experiences we really liked: Snorkeling at Poipu Beach. It always seemed to be sunny. $9.00 golf at Kukuiolono Park - what a beautiful place. Running/Walking trail along the ocean in Kapa'a River kayaking and hiking to a waterfall along the Wailua River Hiking the Waimea Canyon We will be back!

Thanks so much for providing us a cozy and delightful hideaway. As others have said here, it makes all the day's adventures complete to have a welcoming base to return to each night. We owe you a washcloth, due to underestimating the power of the "red dirt" the first time! Please pass on our thanks to your neighbor for sharing his lovely tangerines and spirit of Aloha too. Mahalos!
