Stunning modern home located in one of the premier locations, close to fantastic restaurants, shopping, surfing or just sitting at cafes for people watching. Yet the property is just far enough away and totally private to still offer 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, unspoiled jungle, and the quaint village of Sayulita. You might not want to leave the crystal clear water of the infinity salt-water pool which seems to flow endlessly into the sea, or you might fall into one of the hammocks or chaise lounges just and read or nap. It is easy to watch the ocean for hours. There is amazing bird watching from the house: the little green parrots, the Black-throated Magpie Jays, Macaws and even Chachalacas ( if you never see one, you'll definitely hear it); these are a few of the 336 species living in the area. Let us arrange for an incredible whale watching tour from December until early March. The tour is led by a research oceanographer who follows their migration patterns up and down the North American coast and knows every whale's name by sight. Hike through the jungle to secluded beaches and picnic before jumping into the surf.
The home was designed by a well known Mexican architect in true contemporary style using concrete and entire walls of glass with wonderful inside/outside living areas. Handcrafted custom Parota wood louvered doors open onto decks, patios, the garden and pool area. Every individual detail was carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the unique and comfortable design, such as the onyx walls, honed granite counters, and custom made furniture. The king sized beds feature 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and makes a perfect spot to relax and watch one of the 300 DVD titles in the media library. If you can't completely leave the outside world behind, there is WIFI throughout and unlimited calls to the United States and Canada.
The house is perfect for two couples, but the guest house and apartment can accommodate four others for a total of eight. Full time English speaking manager will answer your questions and help with all of your needs We also provide housekeeping and laundry service.
We can set you up for private or group surfing lessons and excursions. Want to have a private cook come in to prepare Mexican meals some of the time you are there? Or have a masseur set up a table on our terrace for an ocean view massage? These and even private yoga instruction can easily be arranged.
Designed with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Sayulita, Casa Brava is a bold and stunning contribution to Mexican tropical modern architecture and must be seen and experienced to be truly appreciated. It brings contemporary living into balance with its spectacular tropical setting.

My husband and I rented the apartment for 5 nights in celebration of our anniversary. Loved every minute of it! This house is exquisite: amazing architecture, beautiful spaces, amazing views of sayulita and very private. We would recommend it highly and hope to return to sayulita soon. Sayulita is by far our favorite of several places we have visited in mexico. We would like to mention that Felipe was wonderful and went above and beyond expectations to make us feel at home. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place . Rena and Bob

What a wonderful treat Casa Brava is. I enjoyed my stay there thoroughly. The views are beautiful, the accommodations are second to none. I love the architecture and the simplicity of the interior. So classy. The infinity pool is super relaxing, a great place to sit back have a drink and read a book. Loved it so much I am returning in November for my birthday. I have also referred others and they had a wonderful stay as well. Will continue to recommend it to people without hesitation. Thanks and I look forward to my return.

Highly recommended!! We stayed at Casa Brava in October to celebrate my (very youngish) mother's 80th birthday and had a fantastic time! We rented the upper unit only for the 4 of us and it was just perfect.... well-equippped, comfortable, spacious, stylish and plenty of room for everyone. The house is much more beautiful than you can even imagine from the photos! And don't get me started on the pool! We lounged there every day, staring at the beautiful panoramic view of the ocean and the town below. Sayulita is a charming Mexican town with great beaches and shopping and restaurants. It's off the beaten path enough to feel like a discovery yet even the biggest gringo will feel comfortable and at home there. This house is an architectural and artistic dream. If you want a relaxing, peaceful place to stay with plenty of room to entertain, kick back and enjoy the Mexican sunsets.... this is it!

Our stay in Sayulita was fantastic and Casa Brava made it so. We loved lounging in/by the pool the entire day with music playing through the whole-house stereo system and the mixings for margaritas so close at hand. I am a huge advocate of swimming in the ocean and could never understand why travelers would go somewhere then never enter the water, but I'm sure you know how nice it is just to float in the pool and take in the amazing scenery down below. Evenings we walked into the town proper for dinner and were never disappointed with the wonderful food or the ever present friendliness of the Sayulitans. Walking the hill back up to the house was a great way to work off dinner, as well-- after the first night we learned to pick up a few pieces of cake or pie from the pie seller and bring it with us to enjoy with coffee at night. It has been a newish tradition to take a trip each year with my mother since my father passed away; last year we went to Seaside, Florida (a completely different experience) and she didn't quite know what to expect when the opportunity to stay at Casa Brava collided with an unexpected opening in both our schedules. To say that she was hesitant to travel to Mexico is an understatement. To say that she hasn't stopped talking favorably about Sayulita since is the reality-- it completely changed her view. The only regret we have is that my brother and his wife were unable to join us; we sincerely hope that Casa Brava will be available the next time we travel as the space would be just perfect for a mini family reunion. You truly thought of everything and I can't recommend that you change a thing; Felipe and his wife were unobtrusive and wonderfully helpful and the amenities were fantastic (including the Smeg cooker, a favorite of ours since spending time with family yearly in Glasgow, Scotland) and fresh cut flowers. Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!

It has always my been experience that when you don't have very high expectations, you have a much better chance of being pleased with what you get. Well, that goes to show you what I know, because the reviews on this forum all great and could not have been more accurate. Of course we had high hopes that we would arrive to some kind of paradise on earth, and this house was AMAZING. The staff could not have been nicer to us, especially Felipe who told us the best spots to see and even helped us with a couple of beer and ice runs because we didn't have a car. We didn't meet the owners but after all the great responses to our questions, well....lots of questions, I'm sure that they would have been great to have around because everything they told us was spot on. What we loved: 1. The saltwater infinity pool with the view of town and the ocean. 2. The dinner Felipe arranged for us one evening at the house with the best guacamole we've ever eaten. 3. Unable to decide which of the 200 plus DVDs to watch at night. 4. That view! 5. WIFI for a couple of us unable to cut the cord. We loved our stay and can't wait to return. Thanks Dale and Christopher, you guys rock. Bobby and friends Vancouver

"Relaxating in style" From the start of this experience, we knew we were going to have an amazing time. Not only was the booking process and additional information easy to understand, we knew what to expect (roosters in the morning!) and Dale was happy to source further information when requested. And wow! what a beautiful home. On arrival we were greeted at hot Puerto Vallarta airport, driver waiting, cold cervezas in the console and comfortably driven to Sayulita. Filipe was waiting to show us around the house and the ins and outs to make our stay comfortable. Straight away we dived into the divine infinity pool, and that is where we stayed!! Dragging ourselves from the house, we ventured down the steep hill (via golf cart we hired) into a great little town, with super burritos and fish tacos, friendly locals and good shopping. We would always retreat back to the house for the sublime sunsets, viewed from the rooftop, and another late night swim. We shared the house with another couple, and there is easily enough privacy and space for all. The downstairs bedroom is definitely smaller, with a bathroom, and adjoins the main living area and has a/c. The upstairs is larger and more elaborate, 2 decks and hammock, bathroom, walk in robe. The facilities and house contents are sufficient for your stay-and we highly recommend Filipe's wife's cooking-thank you Dale.

I have been to Sayulita several times in the last few years. Prior to my last visit in February 2008 I had always stayed in what I would call a more typical Mexican vacation home, thatched roofs, glazed tiles, and Mexican kitsch. And although those homes sufficed they simply cannot compare to Casa Brava. The house is situated atop a fairly steep hill, and although that made for a slog after several margaritas in the village, it was worth it for the incredible views, both of the ocean and the interior jungles. There just are not many homes like Casa Brava in Sayulita, it is large, modern, and very inviting. There is a great deal of glass facing the ocean and a large outdoor area around a pool that the interior of the house opens onto. With all the doors open I felt as if I were living outdoors the entire time and truth be told I enjoyed the pool and patios so much that I spent a great deal of time out of doors. The kitchen was functional, the bathrooms extremely nice, especially the onyx bathroom, and the main living area very large. The entire house is light filled and very airy and the furnishings are modern and tasteful. I had no problems booking my stay and the in house gardener and handyman Phillipe was available and helpful. In short my stay at Casa Brava was excellent and I would not hesitate to stay there again, in fact after experiencing modern luxury I do not think I could stay anywhere else in Sayulita, especially as the price was comparable to most other rentals.
