Our bright, spacious home overlooks Jenkins Pond with a private sandy beach just steps away from the front door. Jenkins Pond has been rated as one of the cleanest ponds on the Cape. Breezes sweep over the pond continuously from the ocean making air conditioning unnecessary. However, to make the house more comfortable on the rare, very hot days, we have decided to install several window air conditioners.
Begin your day with a 45-minute to 1-hour walk around the pond through the lovely residential neighborhood. Refresh yourself afterwards with a swim in the pond or take our canoe and explore the pond that way. Our large open kitchen with dining area can accommodate up to eight people. It is well-equipped and contains everything you need to prepare all of your meals. But, of course, you might want to treat yourself to dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in the Falmouth area. On a rainy day, you can enjoy playing ping-pong on the basement level.
The large master bedroom contains a queen-size bed; there are also two lounge chairs in a sitting area that overlooks the pond, as well as a small balcony off the master bedroom. The second bedroom contains two twin beds. One of the twin beds has a second bed underneath it and pops up to make another bed (pop-up trundle bed). There is also a sofa, and when the pillows are removed, it becomes a twin bed. Up to four people can sleep in this room
The third bedroom downstairs sleeps two people and contains a twin bed that has a pop-up trundle bed.
There are two full bathrooms, each with its own tub. The bathroom on the first floor contains a washer and a dryer.
The view of the pond from the large arched window in the living room is lovely and tranquil. The living room flows into the dining area and kitchen and contains a comfortable couch, a leather chair, and a rocking chair. There are also games and puzzles for kids, as well as adults, enjoy.
Finally, the deck off the dining room offers views of the woods behind the house

Why the Owner Chose Falmouth: My husband and I were looking for a vacation home for our family not far from our home in the western part of Massachusetts, and Cape Cod was the logical location. Cape Cod is a very special place. Not only is it an area of natural beauty, but it has many places of historic interest. In addition, there are an incredible array of things to do and see if you wish, or it is a place where you can simply relax and unwind. Being on the upper Cape, Falmouth was only two and a half hours from our home, and we could avoid the traffic traveling to more distant parts of the Cape.
The Unique Benefits at this House: We fell in love with the beautiful view of Jenkins Pond from our home. We were also delighted with its proximity to the pond beach.
