    My husband and I are newly retired and spent the month of February at Catherine's home. It was a great experience! My daughter and her family came down for February school vacation and we have many wonderful memories. Our grandchildren ages 8 1/2 and 7 fished the whole week - sometimes from the dock on the canal and sometimes from our small boat. It was a hoot catching all kinds of different fish that everyone had to look up in a book we kept handy to see what we caught. Such fun! We all went to the Theater of the Seas in Islamorada and found it exremely interactive and great fun, expecially for the grandkids. During our time alone in Marathon we tooks walks on the Seven Mile Bridge and Curry State Park, went on drives exploring the Keys, and tried out several great restaurants in Marathon. We can't wait to go back next year!

    My family of 9 and I had a fabulous stay at this house. It was spotless upon arrival, had tons of space for us (4 adults and 5 kids) to spread out, and had everything you could want or need. Check in was a breeze and Catherine very communicative (far more than other house rental experiences I've had) which helped make us feel very at ease. We LOVED the back patio, hottub and canal. Our first morning we were even greeted by a manatee in the canal! The house has a wonderful airy tropical feel. Highly recommend.

    The location is great for bringing your own boat, the boat ramp and Capitan Hooks Marina are not too far away. All major fishings locations are pertty much a straight shot out from the home. We fished the Marathon Hump (27 miles out) four days straight and caught Black Fin Tuna, Mahi, and some hits we couldnt even bring in on our tackle.

    We had a great 2 weeks at Catherine's Tropical Paradise house. Everything about the house was in great order. It was clean and comfortable and in nice shape. It was easy to find and located on a nice quiet street. The boat dock was perfect and it was a very easy shot out to the patch reefs and atalantice beyond. Fishing on the patches was awesome with lots of hog, mangrove, yellowtail and mutton snapper. Also caught 5 types of grouper but most were small and all are out of season at this time. I had a couple of friends come down from Miami to stay with us and they were so impressed that they have made inquiries to rent this house for teir own vacartion. Two thumbs up. I would definitely rent this hosue again. Thank you Cathy!

    Our stay at Catherine's Tropical Paradise was absolutely wonderful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone. For our blended family, we had kids coming from South Carolina, while the rest came from Illinois. From 6yrs-69, everyone had a great time and enjoyed the relaxing environment. The house is clean and beautiful and had plenty of room for everyone. We loved having the deep water dock, and tied our folks' boat there and went fishing almost everyday. At first, the exit from the canal, looked a little tricky with the shallow water when you get to the ocean, but go slow and you'll do just fine. It really is very easy - we watched another boat go out, and just staying close to shore until you hit the marked channel out to the deep water - simple. We loved using the hot tub and grill...not necessarily in that order. ;) Working with Cathy was wonderful. She walked us through from start to finish and even called to see how our stay was after we'd left. She was very friendly and took the time to make a sometimes scary purchase, an easy and comfortable transaction. Many people don't give that kind of service anymore, and she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our vacation. The house had all of the amenities that we needed, and only wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you for making our Thanksgiving so enjoyable and affordable! The Meixsell Clan

    We had a great time and your home was perfect. We also enjoyed the fishing trip and came home with a bunch of tasty yellow tail that we ate all weekend long. It was so nice to be able to step out the door and on to the boat and be at such great snorkeling in just moments. Thanks much k

    The property/home was so comfortable and clean.. We had everything we needed.. We had our two boys and my Mom and Dad with us.. The hot tub was a hit and the boys jumped in and out of the canal!! It was a pretty windy week though.. We tried to go out to Sombrero light to snorkel but it was pretty cold.. My husband and the boys braved it though for a bit..:):):) Grandma and Grandpa also took the boys up in the bi-plane at the airport: we made it to Key west one day, Islamorada another AND hit all the state parks; Bahia Honda, Curry Hammock and Long Key.. I've decided next time we'll come back in the summer!!! Thanks so very much.. Well, I just told you the whole week!! It was perfect.. Thanks again for a great place to stay. I'll keep your info handy for the next time..Thanks again

    This was our second year renting this property and we enjoyed it so much we have already rented for next year. The home is everything they said - it is comfortable, spacious, fabulous location, accessible to everything, plenty of room for the boat in the back - minutes to the open water - we love it - wish it were ours!!!

    My husband and I have spent our early winter holiday at Catherine's Tropical Paradise for the past 2 years (2007 and 2008). We extended our stay in 2008 because we had such a great time and were so satisfied with everything after our holiday in 2007. The house is a good size, extremely well-equipped and clean. All the renter has to do is purchase groceries. It's location on the canal leading to the Atlantic Ocean is very quiet and quite private. The owners are very attentive to their property with regular garden and hot tub maintenance. Being located in the centre of the Keys (MM50), day trips to nearby State Parks, Key West, Key Largo and all places inbetween are easy. Marathon provides all the necessary amenities - grocery, drug and department stores.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

    The house is located on a very quite street, the house is open and big and there is room to move around, is close to everything and the neighboors since to be very friendly. The house was clean and well maintained and the canal was the great for every one to swim is like having a pool all for you. Everyone in my family enjoyed it very much and we had a great time at the house, even became friends with a couple of neighboors. It was quick and easy to get to the ocean and fishing was great , I would recommend the house to anyone that wants to relax and have fun and of course fish.

    We booked 2 weeks in paradise in May 2007, with no plans for anything but relaxation. The weather was fabulous. When we arrived we found the setting to be beautiful, the house to be spacious and the neighbors to be friendly. Due to having just changed realitors we had a few issues that needed attention and (1) phone call took care of them immediately. Cathy was very concerned that we had an enjoyable vacation and double checked that everything was taken care of. We brought jet skis with us and the dock was perfect. We also had our choc lab with us and she enjoyed jumping off the dock for a swim when she got hot. The inside of the house supplied all we needed and the local markets were fantastic for fresh foods and fish. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed for many gourmet meals. The bedrooms, baths and livingroom were nicely decorated and had plenty of space. The laundry room area (outside the front door attached to the 3rd bedroom) was great for not having to track sand thru the house. The outside patio in the back had plenty of space for enjoying cooking out, the hot tub had privacy and the storage area kept all of our gear out of sight. I would recommend the house for those who have kids that can stay away from the docking area safely. My husband and several friends that visited fished off the dock and the point at the end of the street almost daily. We went to the nature preserve, shopped in the the strip malls and around town. Used the public docks to put in, ate at several great restaurants and had a lot of fun in the sun jet skiing. The drive to Key West was pleasant and we made the trip 3 times while we were there. The neighbors were quiet and had beautifully appointed gardens and offered advise on places to go and see. Snorkling and scuba diving were readily available with equipment rentals and tours close by. I spent several hours reading in the sun without disruption or noise daily. We had a great time and found the peace and quiet to be a plus. Catherine has accomplished creating a paradise.

    We loved the house and the boat docking area. We stayed 7 days and had a blast. The house was clean and well supplied. It was comfortable and the hot tub was fabulous. We enjoyed being able to get on the boat and go. And then come in at night, clean the boat, fish, eat and get ready for more!! I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a great place to stay, with boat and water on hand.

    The house is wonderful,the water is beautiful, and the owners are great to deal with. You couldn't ask for a better vacation. Nice central located home, set up for the fisherman/diver , kids loved it and so did we.
