Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Historical Downtown

Santa Fe is rightfully called the "City Different". There are not many places within the United States that you can taste a true difference in the normally homogenious culture we have throughout our country. Santa Fe provides that plus opera, theatre, shopping, wonderful food, hiking, golfing, history, and fine dining. Our home is located right in town which makes everything mentioned only minutes away.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Our home is totally turn key. Since it is our second home, all you need to bring are your clothes and food. We are a short walk to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, the Farmer's Market, galleries, restaurants and the new Railrunner light rail connecting to Albuquerque. The walk to the Plaza is about 7/10ths of a mile. Our home is tastefully furnished with nice furniture, lovely art and some Indian Market award winning pieces. For anyone that enjoys cooking, the kitchen has everything needed for even the most discriminating cook. There is a gas grill right outside the kitchen.

Owner's Map of Private Homes, Historical Downtown

We bought our home in Santa Fe when we living over seas in Kuala Lumpur, Maylasia. Jim was working for Texaco and we needed a home to return to for long holiday periods and it was the first chance we had ever had to own something in a place that we loved. Jim retired in 1999 and we now live in Denver. Since Santa Fe is so centrally located in the U. S., it gives us a chance to enjoy our own home as our time permits. We still are working in Denver for RE/MAX as very active real estate agents.

What a pleasure to call your home our home for a week. It was a joy to be surrounded by southwest art for a week. We took a day trip to Abiqui,Cuba and the Jemez reservation. The country is unbelievable. We will be back next year!

When family members came from Paris, we knew we had to show them Santa Fe. This was their first American visit and Santa Fe is truly "American". We did all of the Santa Fe stuff, shopping, eating, going to Taos, Chimayo. Never enough time. At the end of the day it was so wonderful to come back to the Don Diego home every evening. Warm, comfortable and restful. Our French relatives went back to France with an appreciation for Santa Fe and America. A remarkable diplomatic coup. Thank you again for your hospitality in "maison Don Diego"!

WOW! What a fabulous week we had. The beds were comfy and the furnishings are great. Better even than the pictures. We love Santa Fe and the skiing was out of this world. Great snow, no crowds, no lift lines, no hassles. That's why we keep coming back here. We just loved the homey-time feeling of your home. We are going to pass the word to all of our friends in Big D. Thanks for making this trip our best yet. It was Jim's 50th birthday and he wanted to ski with his whole family. Your home and your help made this his best birthday ever.
