Make Casa Palermo your vacation home in Buenos Aires. Centrally located in old Palermo, between Barrio Norte and Palermo SOHO, the neighborhood is dominated by tree-lined streets and charming architecture; near quaint cafes, stylish restaurants, art galleries, designer boutiques and quirky specialty shops.
Casa Palermo serves as a superior alternative to a hotel or apartment rental, for either vacation or business travelers. It is safe, convenient and quiet. Casa Palermo is spacious and comfortable, and best of all, you have an entire house to yourself. The house has an old-world ambiance with a modern twist, with 15-foot ceilings in the main house, with 8 foot windows that open to a private courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast al fresco. The bedrooms directly access a sun-drenched roof-top terrace. A fireplace gives the living room a central focus and it's a great place to unwind.
The decor is modern, however we have been very careful to preserve the original charm and architectural ambiance by retaining the antique wood floors and doors, as well as the tall windows, which flood the rooms with incredible light. As a counterpoint, the furniture is decidedly modern, with careful selections, such as Le Corbusier's leather LC2 sofa and Basculant Chairs (included in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art), and similar sophisticated modern pieces, augmented by careful selections of original art. The layout of the house retains the traditional arrangement in which all the rooms open to either the courtyard (patio) or roof-top terrace. The house is set back a good distance from the street, lending it an atmosphere is private, elegant and serene. Casa Palermo is an oasis in the center of a vibrant, world-class city.

Spectacular Vacation Townhouse for Rent in Palermo Viejo
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Palermo
In Febuary, 1985, on advice from friends, we traveled south of the Equator for the first time for a one week visit to Buenos Aires and another week touring Chile. After a few days we were so enamored with Buenos Aires that we cancelled the trip to Chile. We found the people to be warm, the architecture European, and a creative vibe that struck a chord with us. Within days we found ourselves shopping for real estate. Ten days later we made an offer for the townhouse that we now call Casa Palermo. It was generally a wreck and had not been updated in years. On January 1, 2006, after 8 months of construction, we opened our door to Casa Palermo's first guest. We remain smitten with Buenos Aires and return twice a year to visit our house and the many friends we have made. Meanwhile, we dream about the restuarants and mark the days until our next trip.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
The time it takes to get to Buenos Aires is easily outweighed by the fact that there is effectively no jet lag when traveling to and from the U.S. Once in BA, the benefits are numerous: The preponderance of restaurants; the genuinely warm people; the incredible vibrancy of a unbelievable city; a culture that is at once foreign and strangely familiar, permeated with a creative vibe that is felt everywhere you go.

My husband and I as well as another couple stayed at Casa Palermo for 4 nights. We were impressed with the cleanliness (my husband calls me a neat freak so I do have high standards for that), the spaciousness and the overall ambiance/decor of the town home. It was very modern yet comfortable, and had beautiful terrace/patio areas. Casa Palermo is in an amazing neighborhood where we could walk to some of the best restaurants/bars, cafes and shops. John's blog and instructions were well-detailed and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Casa Palermo to my friends and hope that my husband and I return one day!
Owner response:Thanks so much for your positive review Anita. We endeavor to provide the kind of accommodations that we ourselves would hope to find when traveling.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved Casa Palermo. The space is large, modern, functional and great to entertain or just chill. great We used all of it including the two outdoor terraces. The bathrooms are modern and beds comfortable! it is very well located and very quiet with a cute cafe right across the street. We loved it!
Owner response:We appreciate hearing from our guests and find immense satisfaction that they enjoy Casa Palermo as much as we do. After all, we strive to make it the sort of place we would hope to rent. (note: One correction is that we do not accommodate pets).
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with teenagers.
Perfect Apartment in Palermo Viejo

We recently completed a stay at Casa Palermo and had such a wonderful time there. The space is gorgeous - a perfect mix of old world Argentine charm and modern (yet comfortable!) furnishings. The apartment is located at the rear of the group of four flats, and is very quiet and private. Still, there are two patios that let in tons of light and allow you to enjoy the wonderful BA weather. The kitchen is very well appointed with all amenities and the owners left detailed and very helpful instructions for everything in and around the apartment. The location is a great - you are next to world class shopping and restaurants and everything this wonderful city has to offer but can retreat to a calm oasis at home when you're done with it. We highly recommend staying at Casa Palermo!
