Caspar Coast House, is a 2800 square foot, three-bedroom, 2-bathroom, large home, located on 1-1/4 acres of ocean view property. There are many amenities, including a therapy jetted hot-tub, 2 steam saunas, and an on-site massage and facial studio. Bridal and specialty services available by appointment. Each room is comfortably furnished, and there is an excellent entertainment system with indoor/outdoor speakers and a docking station for personal MP3 and I-Pod players, cameras, games, etc....
It is less than a 1/2 mile to two beaches: Jug-Handle State Park Reserve, and the Caspar Creek Headlands Park. Jackson State Forest lies on the south property boundary and has many biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails.
The victorian village of Mendocino is 3-miles south, the historical town of Fort Bragg is 4-miles north. The Skunk-train depot is located in Fort Bragg and can take riders inland for a scenic trip through the redwoods and back again.
Rates begin at $200.00 nightly, for 2-people. Extra guests are, in general, $50.00 per person, per night. Taxes and fees are included in the rate. Discounts are available for longer rental terms. There are no minimum night stay requirements, and no increased fees for holiday bookings. Infants and toddlers stay free. Owner Description
Our family business is owner-building homes we design, and construct ourselves. We love what we do, and think of the process as a multi-media art project, on a BIG canvas! It is a lot of hard work, but a creative and satisfying career. It is a lot of fun to meet the travelers we host, and sharing our homes with others. We do this by offering them for rent, and occasionally, for sale. The Caspar Coast House property was purchased in 1996. The home was designed specifically for the lot, and to be a vacation rental, so it was designed with the guest's comfort and privacy in mind. Construction began in 1999, and was mostly completed by July of 2005, when we hosted our first guests. Many of whom, since then, have honored us with return visits.
Why the Owner Chose Caspar
When looking for our next project to build, we considered Caspar the perfect place. Mendocino County was already home, and everything we wanted in a place to live. Natural beauty, with an ocean view. Wildlife, from birds to whales, to observe and enjoy their cycles. Many parks and trails to explore. Rural, but also close to town, with a variety of entertainment opportunities to choose from. Cottage crafters, and artists in a multitude of mediums, create wonderful products to shop locally for. The mild climate produces abundant, organic fresh food, and many fine-quality restaurant options for every taste and budget.

The views are constantly changing. The light, color, and textures of the ocean always provides something wonderful to see. The "nature channel", is on all the time, with much to appreciate and enjoy. Staying in, or going out, is easy to do. There are many areas around the house and gardens to tuck-in comfortably, relax, and enjoy the views. With access to the on-site massage and facial studio, hot-tub, and steam-saunas, it's as if you have your own exclusive day-spa to use anytime. Rest and restore in private, without having to drive somewhere else to share services with the general public. Everything at your leisure, for a fraction of the cost.
