My husband and I had the pleasure or staying at Marina Lanais for a week in May 2013. David was amazing to work with and responded to all inquiries (whether condo or area related) quickly. The condo was exactly as described in the listing and video walk through. Kitchen was adequately stocked with everything we needed to make a quick meal and we loved having the movies for evening wind down entertainment. The view is breathtaking and the sounds of the ocean were so relaxing. Thanks for providing such a gorgeous, safe and economical place to stay on the island! This is a beautiful studio condo looking out over the Atlantic ocean. The view is extensive and spending time on the patio watching the boats and the changing weather was very relaxing. The Condo was very well equipped and clean. We ere able to leave the patio door open day and night. The location was unique. Beaches and parks were easily accessible on foot. It is at the end of a road so that there was minimal traffic. Parking was easy and there was full time security. It was close to many activities that David pointed out and gave directions, It is certainly a place we would consider staying in again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I spent a week in this beautiful condo in Fajardo and I loved it. I got to wake up to the sun coming up over the water, and every afternoon I opened the patio doors to let the cool ocean air blow in. From the patio, it really feels like you're on the water front. There are some fun restaurants that are a short walk away, surrounding Parque La Juventud, the nearby park. Locals gather there on weekends to picnic, socialize, eat, drink and listen to music. You can't hear any of it from the condo, so it doesn't disturb you at all. More restaurants and grocery stores are a short 15 minute drive away through the local neighborhood. The decor of the condo is beautiful and really makes you feel like you're in Puerto Rico. I will gladly stay at this property when I'm in Fajardo next time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hello David, Ferdi And I enjoyed our stay at your apartment. We especially appreciated your taking our advice on some additional items that you supplied us with this year. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. We of course love the view from the terrace. The breezes enabled us to enjoy the natural airflow without needing any air conditioning. We look forward to many return visits. Thank you again. My wife and I stayed at this condo over the recent holidays. The unit was nice and clean, with a beautiful view of the ocean which was just yards away! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with pina coladas soaking in the scenery. Going to sleep with the sound of the ocean was awesome. Nice kitchen facility where we cooked our meals. Would definately recommend renting this unit! David, the gentleman we worked with was very friendly and helpful. Muy bien!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Vi ringraziamo per aver scelto nel mio appartamento. spero di avervi come miei ospiti nel prossimo futuro. Quanto riguarda David

The location of this property is better than the property itself. It was nice hear the waves crashing on the beach. We also liked the park that is walking distance away. Fajardo is a nice place to stay. The property itself was a bit ran down. The worst part was the kitchen. There was another review that stated they had to wash everything when they got there and that is how we felt. There is no counter space, so it was difficult to prepare meals. We also had to be very careful with trying to leave nothing out or even crumbs because there were ants, but that is the only insect we saw. My husband disliked the property more than I did. Owner was pleasant to deal with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you for the review as we do use constructive criticism to our advantage to make improvements and adjustments to enhance the quality of stay with our current and future guest.

Merci beaucoup. Au revoir.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our stay here was great. This condo is on the 6th floor, one below the penthouse level, and compared to other units on VRBO it wins twice---first, with the view, as the lower levels look out at the parking lot, but on the 6th floor you're seeing the tops of palm trees and the ocean, with Culebra Island just off to the left. The second win is obvious---the price is much lower than the other units in this complex, as our 'weekly' rate was only $499---a great price to pay to stay right on the ocean. The breeze blows straight in from the east and half the time we didn't even consider turning the A/C on. The waves crashing gently at night with the balcony doors open was so relaxing as well. There is PLENTY to do in the area, so much that we still had a list of things to do when we return in a year. A rental car is pretty much a must, and David (the owner) was helpful in finding a cheap but reliable company. He also has assembled a binder with local attractions, information, and restaurants in the condo. Useful info for first-time visitors. The only drawback was that the cleaning crew had not gone through the room before we arrived, which left it up to us to clean the condo and wash the sheets. When I spoke to David he explained that the people staying there before us hadn't checked out in time, and the cleaning lady came but wasn't allowed entrance to do her job. David was on a plane at the time, so she couldn't contact him. Obviously not a great start, but it wasn't anyone's fault but the inconsiderate guests before us, so we let it go and enjoyed our vacation. I would give it 5 stars aside from that. David is as helpful and accommodating as anyone can be, and our stay was fantastic. We will definitely look to reserve the place again in the future. Thank you, David, and thank you Puerto Rico for a great vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your honesty, See you next year.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: I am a very flexible and happy person. I enjoy the sea and water sports. Sailing is one of my favorites.I am at your service.
Why the Owner Chose Fajardo:
Since the first time I went to the town of Fajardo I fell in love with the place specially with Marina Lanais condo. As soon as you open the studio entrance door you can see the sea and a few islands. You can actually hear the waves.Sleeping with that sound makes you feel calm and in contact with mother nature.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
There is so many things to do around the condominium like if I want to have dinner there is my next door neighbor El Conquistador Hotel and Casino with 18 restaurants or go to the local restaurants walking distance with a lot of sea food and local 'alcapurrias and vacalaitos fritos' with pina colada. At night I can go to starbucks in the hotel, a little salsa dancing at the hotel disco. Or I can go to the Las Croabas Lagoon in Fajardo (3 minutes walk)has 500,000 to 700,000 of bioluminescent dinoflagellates ( a plankton) per gallon, so when you wave your hand through the water you trigger so many of them that your hand lights up with a thousand tiny stars. There are many companies that offer kayak trips into the bioluminescent lagoon from the small fishing village of Las Croabas. At day the Rain forest (15 minutes drive) is a must! or the Seven Seas Beach. Is a white sand public beach located 1 mile fron the condo. The clear shallow water is teeming with vibrant tropical fish and coral reefs and is protected by offshore reefs. Trade winds blow across the water.
