This spacious three bedroom, two bathroom chalet is located six miles north of central Mount Shasta. It's panoramic views of Mount Shasta, Shastina and Black Butte, are seen from nearly every room in the house. Located on 35 acres, the home is on a beautiful natural meadow that backs up to a forest of tall pines. In addition to having all the modern conveniences, the home has two large decks, one off the master bedroom and the other wraps around the front and side, both facing the awesome mountain view. The house is easily large enough for one or two families yet cozy enough for a romantic getaway. It sleeps up to 12 people or is perfect for a small group retreat.
The large master suite opens out onto a large deck with more views of the mountain. It offers a full bath, walk in closet and a queen-size log canopy bed. You will open your eyes to the magic of the Mount Shasta view.
In addition the home has two loft ares, one is a billiard room for your fun and pleasure. There are family games, books and cards. The other loft is a pillow room with a futon.
All this seclusion and yet just a 10 min drive to the quaint downtown Mount Shasta shops and restaurants. Your chalet is only one and a half miles off Highway 5. It's 15 minutes to water sports at Lake Shastina and Lake Siskiyou and 15 minutes to winter skiing on the mountain.
Hike the mountain, the crags, the caverns and local waterfalls. Explore sacred sights and tune into the high vibration of Mother Nature all under the magic of the mountain.

Our group that stayed here was a group of old friends, a mix of couples and singles. This was a great place to come together and reconnect. The local contact was immediately responsive when we needed propane for the BBQ. The house was every bit as nice as represented. And the view!!! Sunrise, sunset, or midday, I think this property has one of the most magnificent views of the mountain I have seen. There are lots of activities in the surrounding area, but we didn't get to as many of them as we had planned and instead enjoyed the lounge chairs on the large wrap-around deck taking in that view. Definitely recommend this to anyone wanting either a relaxing vacation or a home base from which to have many adventures. It is really perfect if you have a mixed group of adventurers and relaxers. The seclusion of being on 35 acres makes you feel like you are far from everything, but you are actually only minutes from grocery shopping, restaurants, and many other activities.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a wonderful place to relax and regroup. The House is self sufficient, there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't supplied. Lots of Beautiful mystical art on the walls, loads of books to read and CD's to listen to. We want to Thank Karen for her meditation tapes that we utilized daily.We were so blessed to see wildlife daily right on the property. And, most important the view of magestic Mt. Shasta was unbelieveable! The House is remote yet only minutes to civilization. We will definitely come back to stay at this house by "The Mountain".
