Beginning with the graciousness of the owners and ending with an incredible week on Maui, our experience at Barbara’s condo was unbeatable! From the lanai, we enjoyed gazing at the incredible sunsets, the beach, and all the water activities that where taking place on the ocean. We saw the whales. The barbequing on the roof top or by the pool was great way to meet other guest and get more insights on island activities. There is something about the place that makes everyone so, so friendly. The unit is located in a wonderfully landscaped and meticulously maintained complex and is conveniently located near the ocean. In fact, the complex is the only one on the Island that is located right on the shore line. Most importantly, it couldn't be better situated if you're looking for the best view on Maui. The unit has been totally renovated. Food prep and kitchen clean-up was a breeze with the granite contour tops. The kitchen is well stocked. The crook pot and the George Forman grille is going a little overboard. The bedrooms, dining and living room are tastefully furnished and decorated. We can't say enough about the care and responsiveness of Barbara that we had what we needed for our family to have the greatest time. Thank you Barbara.

We keep the kitchen well stocked and there is even a spice rack and just about anything you would need for a special vacation. The sounds of the ocean, walking on the beach, grilling on the rooftop garden while watching the many beautiful sunsets and meeting your neighbors. Now the whales are here and the rooftop is a great place for whale watching in season. You have your choice of the beach in front of the condo or the many other beaches along Kihei Road. Great unit and perfect location

This unit had been newly renovated when we arrived and was immaculate. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms which are both decent sizes with ample closet space. The view was amazing, as it faces the ocean and is a quick walk to the beach. You can walk quite far down this beach. The beach directly outside the condo is mostly rock but there are plenty of sand beaches around the condo that are within walking distance. You can easily access these beaches through the gate that surrounds the pool. The condo isn't within walking distance to any shopping or restuarants (besides the one that is inside the building) but if you have a vehicle, it's a 5 minute drive anywhere. Barb was fantastic to deal with and was accommodating. I would stay here agan and would recommend the unit. I recommended the unit for young families but that's not exclusive. Anyone would enjoy staying at this unit.

But nothing beats sitting on the lanai and enjoying the cool ocean breeze as you enjoy your special drink and watch the waves rolling into shore. There is a beautiful sandy beach on the north side of the Whale Sanctuary, only steps from the pool.This is a great place to swim and snorkel. There is also a restaurant on site, great food! Our beautiful rooftop garden is a great place to cook outdoors while watching the many beautiful sunsets. We are located one mile from Azaka Shopping Center where you will find several great restaurants. We are centrally located as a starting point to the many beautifully sights in Maui. We strive to make your Maui Vacation an event of a lifetime and hope you will return to our beautiful home away from home. Barb

Great condo with a great view and great walking beaches . Sunsets on the roof top are a spectacular.

Fantastic Vacation

We have been coming to Maui for many years and have stayed in this unit the last 4-5 years, can't remember how long as once we found it we have continued to stay in it. We enjoy it so much, we stay two months. We look forward every year to see what new additions have been added, this year a comfy couch appeared. We really like having the wireless Internet. Next year Barbara is planning a new kitchen. The unit has everything you need or want in a condo. The views are breath taking, the condo itself is very comfortable and stylish, and the Menehune Shore residents are charming and friendly. The roof top at sunset is a great way to mingle with others and get acquainted. The grounds and building are extremely well kept up. You do not need AC as there are ceiling fans and lovely breezes to keep you cool. Overall, it has all you need for a FANTASTIC VACATION.

Great Views! Great Stay!

We had a great stay in this unit. The sunsets and the whale watching from the deck were phenonmenal. The condo was comfortable for our group of 4, very nicely furnished and clean. There was lots of beach gear available -- chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc. -- so you don't have to bring your own. The common areas -- pool, grounds, etc -- look fresh and well-maintained. The location is good for the weather (rarely rains) and for great beaches and snorkeling near-by as well as being central for other exploring. We would definitely stay again.

I had to write...never have done this before but...we stayed at Barbara's condo property and had the time of our lives. Not only were the living quarters clean and spacious but the weather was perfect, Kihie was a delightful community to vacation at and the beaches (so many of them) offered something for everyone. We traveled the coastline of Maui, saw sea animals...even a whale or 3, and enjoyed the island breezes 24/7. Barbara was a delight to work with and I would recommend her property to all. This Hawaiian vacation was nothing short of Heaven...Mahalo

We are centrally located so you can travel almost anywhere in Maui in a short time as there are so many places to see and beautiful beaches to go to on your Maui vacation. For an easy dinner there is always the rooftop garden for cooking and eating outdoors and a great way to meet your neighbors as you watch the beautiful Maui sunsets.

The view is very nice

the building is quite old and the inside of the condo looks it. No A/C so get ready to have night sweats. The neighbor, I think a resident, smoked all night and the stench came directly into the room. so if you like the smell of ashtrays, this is for you. The owner is a very nice person, but she led us to believe the condo had been remodeled...only a flat screen added to the unit. The next time I go, if I go, I would pay a bit more and rent a new unit. By the way all the condos in Kihei are from the 70's and as you drive by them, you can tell they're old. Look, it's Maui, most condos are going to have killer views. treat yourself to a better stay...maybe in Wailea or Kaanipali.

Owner response:I am sorry one of my guests was not happy with the condo. I tell every guest there is no A/C in the unit. It has ceiling fans and stand up fans in every room. I have a guest book and get great reviews from all other guests. I have remodeled both bath rooms in the past two years and the condo is well decorated and makes you feel very much at home. There are updated pictures of the condo posted on my website. We are right next to the ocean with great ocean views. I am sorry about the smoke coming from outside. I will address this by installing an air purifier. I strive to make the condo a welcoming and enjoyable place to visit. Guest always have my contact information in the event there are any problems. I live on Maui and am available to take care of any problems immediately. The condo is in a great location and is maintained well. I believe most people who have stayed there would agree.

If you want a fantastic place to stay with a view to die for, then this is where you should stay!!! The owner(Barbara) is one of the nicest person you will ever meet! Make sure you go up the the roof top where you will get a 360 degree view! This unit is very nice inside and I hope you will treat like it was your own home. Menehune Shores is close to every thing and it is so quiet. The snorkeling is excellent and has a huge ancient pond behind the property which is perfect for kids. You will have no traffic noise, and the trade winds that blow everyday is your air conditioning! I will be back on Maui next year and I will definitely contact Barbara to stay at her unit! You can trust her 110% to make sure your stay in paradise is a great time. Her cleaning person is the best and you will love this unit! This complex has a nice pool and a great India food resturant. The view of the ocean and the mountains will blow you away. The parking lot was under construction when I was there, and when they are done it will just add to the beauty of the complex. I can't say enough about my time there, and how great Barbara was to me! Thank you Barabra for letting me stay at your vacation rental for the week, and I will see you again soon my friend! Aaron
