Myself and three of my girlfriends had a girls weekend at this house in May. It was great. We had everything we needed. The place had nice rooms and was located right near all the sights of Lancaster. We are hoping to someday go back in the summer and enjoy the beautiful built in pool and patio!

This place worked out just perfect for us (7 adults) loads of room - clean - comfortable - great location - fully stocked with everything we could have needed. We did not use the pool (early May) but looked like loads of fun for warmer weather - the patio area was beautiful and the grill was great. Dave even left us some ice cream (nice extra) We would say the description in the listing was exactly as it read and would recommend this to anyone visiting this area. Lots to do and see. thanks for a great experience.

This will be our sixth winter girls weekend spent in Paradise. There are quite a few of us and every year we look forward to this escape more and more. The decor is charming, the house spacious, and the large tub is wonderful. David is always a wonderful host. We love how close we are to the outlets and Walmart. We also have made it a tradition of ours to visit the local psychic and have our cards read for fun. I look forward to many more getaways there:)
Owner response:L. M. thanks for your comments. We have other groups like yourselfes who really like this house and the location for special weekends. Dave

At the last minute the place we had booked canceled so we found a new place and I am so glad I did. We didn't want to leave. The place was great! Poinsettias and other Christmas decor made it feel just homey enough for our Christmas Get together and we definitely did not want to leave in the morning!! We will definitely be staying here on our twice a year stays in the area! Thanks for everything!!

I was there with my sister and their kids (5 kids under 5 yrs old). There was a lot of room and the pool was a huge hit. Everything was very clean. The central air worked wonderfully. Grocery store 5 minutes away. Plenty of towels (bath and pool). Nice patio with tables and one by the pool too. Washer/dryer and grill were great. Comfortable beds. Cons: The house is right on the road and can be noisy. No dishwasher, so bring rubber gloves, however nice double sinks. Water pressure in the showers not so good, almost none if toilet is flushed or kitchen sink being used.

Our family stayed in this home in July, pix and description of home are 100% accurate. When we first arrived there was an unsual smell... possibly insect spray, but once we turned the air on it was gone quickly. House was Very clean, felt like a home away from home, kitchen was wonderfully stocked with all supplies needed, bedrooms were clean/comfy, jacuzzi was great, pool was nice-gated, backyard was beautiful with well maintained lawn. Childrens room with bunk beds had TV on floor not plugged in with no available stand. But they improvised and watched TV in other room. Hershey park was a little less than an hour away, many many restaurants and stores nearby. We were rained out of Hershey park despite checking local weather on TV and internet which was sooo depressing but we all had a relaxing, wonderful time anyway. Thank you Mr. Nissley for making it all so smooth.

This home was perfect for my family's vacation, especially because there was a pool! There was plenty of room for everyone and the home was beautiful. Dave was readily available via phone with any questions that we had. Just a great place for a vacation getaway.

There were five couples and one toddler on our weekend getaway - which is over the recommended number of guests, however, we found the house to be quite accomdating! There was plenty of room for two couples to sleep downstairs on airmatresses. The downstairs living and kitchen area are very spacious. We enjoyed most of our time cooking and eating together and it was perfect for that. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Having never been to the Lancaster area before, I was for some reason expecting it to be a little more into the country. However, the house is right off a main highway that is heavily traveled. There is some noise due to that, but it honestly wasn't a problem for our group. We were probably louder inside =) But if you are looking for a secluded, quite getaway, it may not be the place for you. The price was the best we had found and it was well worth it. Thanks so much for a wonderful Valentines weekend away with friends! We will definately keep you on the top of our list when visiting Lancaster County. Oh, and the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom was the most relaxing I have EVER been in!
Owner response:We appreciate your kind response as well as your business. You are welcome anytime. Dave

My husband and I brought our 3 young children, my parents and our niece and nephew to this house at the beginning of August. It was so much nicer than renting hotel rooms. There was PLENTY of space for all of us to have our own space. The house was beautifully renovated and decorated. CLEAN! The backyard is a surprising oasis. The kids loved the big pool and I was happy it was fenced in. Yes, you are VERY close to the road and the truck noise bothered us only the first night. We were all so exhausted from all there was to do in the area that we had no trouble sleeping at night. I would recommend this rental property .
Owner response:Thank you for staying at our home as well as your kind comments.

We just used this property for our family reunion. We had 9 adults and 5 children and 3 babies under 2 altogether. Things were a bit cramped, but well worth it. The house is very centrally located, we went to Sesame Place, Hershey Park, Strosburg Museum, and planned on the Crayola factory but found so much to do locally (Buggy rides, farm visits, shopping, Amish culture) we couldn't fit it all in!! The pool was beautiful as was the backyard. There was plenty of "living" space so that the only times things felt a bit cramped was at night when figuring out the sleeping arrangements. Obviously we exceeded the recommended limit, so most people wouldn't even notice. Yes the house is located near the main road, and there can be some noise. But, we never felt it was overpowering and was easily blocked by a fan. The areas to the front of the house were a bit louder than the back, but again nothing that detracted from our stay. Communication with the owner was smooth and our questions were addressed very promptly before we decided to stay at this property. They even provided a Pack N Play for one of the babies. We are already thinking about a future return trip to PA and will most definately use this property if its available. Thank you so much for letting us use your home and God Bless.
Owner response:We will continue to offer a property that keeps our family's as comfortable as possible. Thanks

The house was clean and quaint; the location was close to sightseeing, restaurants and amusement parks. The pool and backyard patio were beautiful and a definite plus. The kids loved the air hockey and pool slide and diving board. We had plenty of space for our family of four. But, way too much noise! Although the speed limit in the village is 35 mph, the constant parade of semis driving by at 55 miles per hour make the house shake and visibly rattle the windows and doors - all day and all night. As we were about 15 feet from the main road and there were train tracks to the rear of the property, it made it difficult to enjoy the outdoors or sleep.

Love the house and the pool. Plenty of room...we were two couples with two kids each. Nice spacious kitchen with a sitting room attached. Only two or three draw backs... the road noise which you easily get use to to, the yard is not fenced in and sandwiched between a busy highway and a steep drop off to train track (not a problem if you have older kids or none at all), and the humidity of the house (a dehumidifier might help). But over all a wonderful little house very reasonably priced and centrally located to many interesting areas. GREAT VACATION HOME, would definitely go again. Thanks so much.

The property is well furnished, up-to-date, and convenient to town or country (whichever is your choice). Early April was beautiful. I wish we had had the opportunity to enjoy the pool and the well landscaped yard. One negative is the traffic noise.

Dave- We absolutely loved our stay your your home. We felt so at ease the minute we got there. The house is clean and spacious. Everything we needed was there from great linens to frying pans for breakfast. The central air worked great for the muggy weather. We heard the traffic out front, but it was not enough to ruin a good nights sleep. My grandfather lives in Columbia about 20 minutes away and we would love to stay at your property next time we visit. Thanks.
Owner response:We are always thankful when you enjoy your stay. Thanks

This is a very nice place to stay. We were 3 couples on a Pennsylvania road trip and spent 3 nights here in early Sept. The pool area was a nice extra and a great way to unwind at the end of a day of travel, as was a soothing bath in the claw tub. We really enjoyed the house, which is older but updated. It has a big wraparound porch from which we liked to watch the horse and buggies go by. It is on the road/highway and noise was an issue the first night with 2 of the couples. We put the portable fan on in our room after the first night and had no problem sleeping. The other couple used the added radio sound features (nature noises, etc.) and had no further sleeping issues. It is near outlet malls, most chain restaurants, Hershey, Gettysburg, and the Amish. We like The Olive Garden but it was always busy for sit down, so we ordered take-out and had enough for 2 meals each for under $15/person. The Miller Restaurant, close by, across the street served a great brunch for $9.95. This is a more comfortable way to travel than motel/hotel stays and for 3 couples was more cost effective as well. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing easter weekend. The house is tastefully decorated, the sheets are soft and clean, towels are plenty and we were even treated with bubble bath! The owners are low-key and helpful. If you like Pottery Barn or Crater and Barrel, the Vintage Garden next noor is a must see! The only flaw: traffic at night could be noisy. Quite some trucks passed by on Friday night. Saturday night was much quieter. Not sure if this is the normal pattern.

Dear Dave, Thank you for allowing us to use your vacation home for a week - 30th April to 7th May - we were very pleased with the accommodation and your assistance and advice were very much appreciated. We would have no reservation in recommending your VRBO property to others. If the need to accommodate 7 people in Lancaster County came up again we would not hesitate in seeking to use the property again. It was lovely to meet you and your family and we trust that you are all well. God bless you and all your loved ones.
