CENTRAL LOCATION: We’re nestled in the picturesque town of Invermere in the heart of the Canadian Rockies within a short stroll to both the lake and all "downtown" amenities (bakery, cafes, deli, arts and crafts and antique stores, restaurants, weekly farmer’s market, grocery stores, cinema, etc.). Panorama, Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs are all within a 20 minute drive.
SUMMER: Grab your towels and water toys and walk to Kinsmen’s sandy beach for a swim, and there’s also a playground for the kids, volleyball court, snack bar and tennis courts close by. Rent a canoe, jet ski or powerboat for water-skiing. We’re surrounded by numerous golf courses, great hiking/biking trails, parasailing and fishing spots. Try flying in a glider (with an instructor of course).
WINTER: Walk to the lake or the town’s arena for ice skating, or go tobogganing. Skiing (downhill and cross-country) and snowmobile tours are nearby. Take a scenic plane ride.
SPACIOUS HOME: Our large bright cottage (over 2500 square foot) is ideal for year-round family vacations. This newly renovated two story boasts a huge private upper deck (750 square foot) with a BBQ for grilling your favorite meals and plenty of patio furniture (excluding winter) for relaxing and enjoying the views of Mount Swansea and surrounding mountains.
KIDS PLAY: A large fenced backyard provides a safe outdoor play area for children to kick around a soccer ball, have a game of badminton/volleyball or croquet. The fun continues indoors in the large playroom (with fireplace) that features Foosball and Air Hockey tables, a variety of games (chess, backgammon and other board games), a TV/VCR with a selection of free movies, books and magazines for all ages.
ADULTS RELAX: The living room upstairs provides another entertainment area with cable TV DVD/VCR and plenty of couches, or just enjoy the view and a good book by the large picture windows.
DINING: A fully equipped kitchen has a roomy nook for breakfast and those quick bites, and opens to a dining room with large dining table for everyone to gather at mealtime. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby serving fast-food, take-out and gourmet fare.
SLEEP WELL: Rest in newly appointed bedrooms. Each of three bedrooms upstairs have queen beds, and the three main floor (this is NOT a basement) bedrooms have a king bed suite (from Banff's historic Chateau Lake Louise), a queen bed and two single beds. Full bathrooms on each floor. Our home can be rented in configurations from three bedrooms/one bath to six bedrooms/two baths, depending on the number of guests. No one is stuck on a pull-out in a common area - everyone sleeps in their own bedroom, with no more than two guests per bedroom! Regardless of the bedroom configuration, our cottage is for your use exclusively (i.e. unused rooms are merely closed).
