This classic shingled Cape-style house near the South Point of Biddeford Pool offers privacy and peacefulness down a short, unpaved dead end street. It’s just 3 houses back from Maine’s beautiful rocky coast and open ocean! A quick walk from the back yard via a Land Trust wooded path leads to the wonderful, sandy 3-mile crescent beach that helps make Biddeford Pool so special.
The house consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 baths: upstairs, a Master bedroom with King bed and a 2nd bedroom with 3 twins sharing a 3/4 bath (shower) and downstairs, a 3rd bedroom with Queen bed and nearby full bath. In addition, the house offers an open kitchen and living room with a fireplace, including direct access to the side deck with outdoor furniture, a family room with lovely built-in cabinets, full-sized pull out sofa and gas stove. There’s also a small office with desk, laundry room, a wooden playhouse in the rear yard and a large attached garage. Enjoy walking to the village with a general store, gift shop, kayak rentals and lobster pound; splashing in the waves; watching seals on the rocks; taking sunset walks or bike rides; hiking to East Point on the Maine Audubon coastal trail; and generally unwinding in a friendly, relaxed community where driving everyday is not required thanks to the house’s fantastic location.
If you like to explore, a few miles to the south are the villages of Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport that offer many shops and restaurants, along with ocean cruises. An easy drive to the north brings you to the city of Portland and Casco Bay with a public ferry that allows you to explore many Maine island communities. |
