This place is so relaxing. The sounds of the waves and the beautiful sand is overwhelmingly calming. We are so enjoying our stay here. Our dog Lily loves the sand and the new smells. The house is very nice and as described. I really enjoy the porches and the comfortable seating. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing some time away from the businest of life. Thank you Michael for sharing your amazing home with us. We had 3 generations of the family all together in this wonderful home. Having rented several VRBO homes in the past, we were beyond pleased with this home as well as the excellent customer service Michael provided. The house is EXACTLY as pictured in the photos but a million times better in person ;) The beach was spotless and we took several naps on the porch overlooking the breathtaking ocean views. The kids all loved walking in the sand to the water and the sand dunes were my youngest daughters favorite as she found lots of shells through the 'undiscovered paths'. The boys LOVED the huge open beach as the played football and practiced baseball in the wide open beach. After reading many reviews, we knew to stop at the grocery store on the way in. We were so thankful we did! After 12 hours in the car the last thing we wanted to do was head back out. Instead the dads grilled on the brand new grill and the kids and moms went on a 'night crabbing' beach adventure--- soooo fun, we saw only a couple ghost crabs but it was hilarious trying to catch them. We cooked/grilled almost every meal and the kitchen is well stocked with pans/cooking items. However, I would recommend renters to bring all their spices as those are not stocked. This was no big deal, but good to know for those that want to pack it vs purchasing when they get here. The AC was nice and cold which is a must for us! The bathrooms are beautiful and very well layed out floor plan made everyone feel comfy and with their own private space. The wifi was great too as my husband and I both worked on it a few days. Wifi is also a must as the teens needed to 'stay connected' too ha! We also brought our golden retriever and my sisters shitzu. Both dogs LOVED the beach. Being able to bring ALL our babies was priceless. We did go via Ferry to Dauphin Island one day and enjoyed the beaches there, dined at the islander (yum) and walked thru bird sanctuary. The kids enjoyed the additional adventures to Lulus. the Happy Shack and the Track to race Go karts! This home was perfect for us and in a GREAT location for a fun spring break vacation for the kids yet very relaxing beachfront home for the parents and grandparents! We can't thank you enough and we will definitely be back ;) Thanks from Texas!

WE had SUCH a wonderful at Sadie's Place! Thge owner was such a pleasure to deal with. The house was everything and MORE! The beaches were not crowded at all (we NEVER say anyone else on the beach). Our 2 GOlden Retrievers had THE best time. It was so nice to be able to take them with us on vacation! THANK YOU AGAIN! Sadie's Place is AWESOME! WE WILL BE BACK!

WHAT A WONDERFUL GETAWAY. WE WERE DELIGHTED WITH SADIE'S PLACE. IT HAD EVERYTHING WE HOPED IT WOULD. MY HUSBAND IS IN A WHEEL CHAIR AND WITH THE AID OF THE ELEVATOR AND THE BEAUTIFUL DECK FACING THE GULF HE ENJOYED HIS TIME WITH OUR DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY. PROPERTY WAS IN TOP NOTCH CONDITION AND IT WAS A TRUE BLESSING TO FIND IT SO CONVENIENT TO FORT MORGAN. WE WOULD DEFINATELY REC OMMEND THIS LOVELY PROPERTY TO ANYONE TO RENT FOR A WEEKEND OR A WEEK. THE OWNERS WERE VERY HELPFUL AND EASY TO WORK WITH. OUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT WAS RETURNED TO US IN A FAST AND EFFICIENT MANOR. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GOOD TIME.

We had a great time at Sadies Place. Visited Ft. Morgan, saw sea turtles hatch and played in the water! It was truly our home for a week and we met all the nice neighbors.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Sadie's Place. The house was nice and our family and the 2 dogs had a great time. You are out of the hustle and bustle of town but you are close enough to drive in and eat, shop, or whatever you want to do. The beaches were not crowded and they were also pet friendly. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great time at Fort Morgan Beach

Sadie's Place was the perfect beach house for our family vacation. We had four generations and our dog. Everyone had plenty of room and wonderul decks to view and hear the ocean. Just a short walk across the sand to the beautiful beach. The home was very nice. We hadn't planned on needing the wheel chair lift when we booked them home. But my sister broke her ankle and I don't know how we would have made it without that. We have stayed in Fort Morgan for several years. We love the laid back atmosphere of the area and we were only a short distance from anything we wanted to do or needed in Gulf Shores. The fishing was real good there too. We caught Redfish and grilled and ate them....delicious! Thanks for sharing your home with us dog lovers! Debbie

Relaxing Spring Break

It was a wonderful week and so nice to be able to spend it with family. The house was just the perfect size and layout for everyone. I know my sister-in-law really appreciated being able to bring the dog and stay in such a nice home. It was close to the beach and yet very quiet. My children really enjoyed the PS2 in the morning as they tended to wake before everyone else. Thank you for helping us all to have a very enjoyable break.

Peaceful stay at Sadie's Place

We very much enjoyed staying at Sadie's Place. The house is nicely laid out, and everything was in good working order. The decor is simple and tasteful and creates a peaceful retreat. In my opinion, the kitchen was well stocked. If you are interested in making full meals there, you will not want for much. Having the lift and main level bedroom were a huge plus for my parents. Also, being able to bring our dog was priceless. I appreciated the house being able to sleep everyone without someone being stuck in a cheap bunk bed! The beds were all very comfortable, and the twin room has two separate twin beds- no bunks! The beach itself is beautiful at this location. We met many friendly snowbirds and their dogs on our beach walks. There are a few small convenience/grocery stores nearby, so you don't have to drive into Gulf shores for last minute items. Fort Morgan, at the end of Hwy 180, provides for a great outing. There are also several golf courses nearby. We hope to return to Sadie's Place soon. We would highly recommend it. I wish I was having morning coffee on the balcony right now!

My husband and two dogs had a wonderful time vacationing at Sadie's Place in late Oct. Sadie's Place is a bright, airy house, set in a laid-back beach community, that looks out onto a white sand beach that is to die for. We spent our days lazing on the beach, taking long walks with the dogs, and in the evening we'd watch the glorious sun set on the Gulf. Sheer bliss to say the least. If you love sun, sea, and snow white sand, then Sadie's Place should be your next vacation destination. It is sheer bliss! I simply can't say enough about the house itself, with its two sweeping verandas overlooking the dunes and Gulf, and the open floor plan. Michael and Marina have created a beach home that is as fuss-free as it is beautiful, and they go out of their way to ensure your stay there is the very best it can be. We highly recommend this property to couples looking for a romantic getaway, or to families with kids and dogs who love the beach.

This was our second stay at the wonderful house. It was as good as the first time. The house is a perfect place for a family to relax and enjoy family time. It is very clean and neat and the beach is fabulous. We went this time in the fall and it was perfect. The weather was beautiful and the beach was great. We like the fall better than the summer. This house has everything that someone needs to have a wonderful time. We will not stay anywhere else.

Met family from Monroe, LA , for the week- we ALL had a great time. It was wonderful being able to include the 4 legged family members. The house was great with beautiful porcelain tile everywhere except in the upstairs bedrooms. Don't usually cook on vacation but the kitchen was wonderful couldn't resist cooking shrimp several nights. Views of the Gulf and beach were beautiful. Morgantown is definitly for dog lovers. I have already recommended the home to friends. Planning to visit again in the Spring 2012.

This is a fabulous beach house and vacation get-a-way spot. The views of the gulf are really beautiful. There were 8 of us staying here and we were very comfortable. The price is so reasonable and it was easy doing business with Michael Carey.

My family spent the week of May 17th at Sadie's Place. My son is in a motorized wheelchair and has a service dog. The chair lift and the low thresholds to the decks were a big plus for us. Great gulf view and short walk to the beach. Very pleasant neighborhood and uncrowded beach area. I would highly recommend this house to anyone interested in a peaceful beach vacation. We also rented a beach power wheelchair from Beach Power Sports that really worked out well for us.

This is our 2nd time to stay at Sadie's Place. Once again we had a great time. My mother and father joined us for a couple of days. My mother had a stroke in April and can't climb stairs, so the lift was a godsend. The house as always was in great shape and you don't need to bring anything. Thanks again for a great vacation.

Sadie's Place is _awesome_!!! We stayed at Sadie's place November 11-18, 2009. What a great, relaxing week we had! The house is beautiful -- the tile floors and showers are gorgeous, and so easy to keep clean. The big TV and stereo (and comfortable furniture!) in the living area kept us entertained in the evenings and when we were hanging out at the house. We love how the kitchen, dining and living area are open to each other. The kitchen is beautiful -- the countertops and cabinets are so pretty, and we found everything we needed to cook up great gulf coast seafood. The master bedroom is great with a very comfortable king size bed and great view of the beach and gulf. We loved hanging out on the covered porches with such great views, and watching awesome sunrises and sunsets. The beach in front of the house is beautiful -- we enjoyed swimming and watching dolphins and all the shore birds at the beach. Sadie's Place is in a great area, with beautiful beach just a few steps from the house. There are great beach views from the living area and 2 bedrooms upstairs, and both the upstairs bedrooms have doors that open onto the upper level porch. All the bedrooms have TVs, the bedroom with single beds even has a game system. The house is beautiful and wonderfully equipped-- pretty much everything you need is there, and it is all in such a beautiful place! Michael Carey was very helpful and accommodating in setting up for our stay; we very much appreciate folks like the Careys who allow well-behaved dogs in their properties. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sadie's Place, and plan to stay there again when we go to the beach! PS - Besides the beach, our favorite things to do/see in the area are: Cosmo's restaurant in Orange Beach is GREAT (great atmosphere, great service, GREAT food! and well-behaved dogs are allowed in the patio area) - Google search for "Cosmos restaurant Orange Beach" to find their web site); Fort Morgan is very cool to explore and has great views of the Gulf and Mobile Bay; the Ferry to Dauphin Island is really cool, too!

This is a fabulous property. The house is beautiful and well kept. The tile floors on the first level make it so easy to keep clean and low allergens. Some pet properties smell like pet properties but this one did not. Great job on the floor plan also. The area is safe, quiet and a great place for the family. Michael is wonderful to work with on your vacation budget and plans. Thanks again for a great vacation.

We and our 15-yr-old cock-a-poo, Peaches, vacationed at Sadies Place 9/26/09-10/3/09. It is a beautiful house and we enjoyed our time there immensely. We have vacationed in the Gulf Shores area many times over the years. The last time we stayed at a little beach house in Ft. Morgan and fell in love with the area. My family and I stayed at Sadie's Place 9/8 through 9/12. It was absolutely wonderful. The elevator made it possible for our mom to enjoy her stay and it made it easy for all of us to get all of our stuff in and out of the house. The gulf view was awesome. We loved the covered front deck. We had more than enough room for 8 people. It felt like home and I did not want to leave. I hope to return some day.

We spent a week at Sadie's Place with my four grandchildren. The floor plan just fit with the bedroom and bath downstairs for the senior adults and upstairs for the kids. We had a great time and will go again. The location is quiet without the ommercialization, souvenir shops, and crowds of Gulf Shores.

Our stay at Sadie's Place was awesome. We had everything in the house that we needed. The house is well organized and very well laid out. The house has been well taken care of and is quiet adequate for a vacation. We enjoyed our time so much that we will book another week there next year. We were able to just sit back and enjoy our vacation, the beach, have some special home cooked meals, sit on the porch have coffee,watch the oceans, listen to the waves and just enjoy our vacation. It was private, peaceful, comfortable, close enough to the beach, and we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you Carey's for putting together a wonderful place for a vacation on the Gulf.

Me and my husband searched for a long time before finding what we thought looked like the perfect honeymoon location. The views from the decks were absolutely beautiful, we enjoyed the sunrises, the sunsets, and the jumping dolphins. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore was too easy, what wasn't easy was leaving, we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful experience at Sadie's Place. We have several small children and they enjoyed the house along with the beach. We especially appreciated the ceramic tile throughout the home, which helped with the cleanup of sand tracked in from the beach.

"What a House" "We've been coming to Destin and Gulf Shores for 27 years and this is the best house we have ever stayed in. Michael keeps everthing in great shape. We stayed at Sadie's Place and loved it! The family loved the beach with the snow white sand and the great views from the house.The people here are friendly.The house is in a quiet area yet only 10 minutes from lots of restaurants, shopping, and fun things to do. It was great how accessible Michael was from the first time I inquired about the house. I usually email about different places and never get a response as quickly as I did from Michael. He was just a phone call away.I look forward to the next time we can visit Sadie's Place. I have already recommended this place to friends/family and we haven't even left yet to go home. This house has everything and something for everybody! Matresses were all super great and TVs in every room were a great touch. The children loved playing the games provided in their room and the beach toys. The lift was great for my wife, as well as for my back with the luggage and groceries. We looked and looked for a place where we could take our dog and we found it. Best house we've rented and we've be going to Gulf Shores for 40 years. We're looking forward to next year to another family reunion! Recommended for: Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, People with Disabilities

Beautiful house! Even though it was cold, the sun from all the windows kept us warm! Our dog loved the porch and beach! Our son enjopyed the video library! We all enjoyed the New Years Eve fireworks from the porch! We hope to come back again!

We just returned from our stay, and it was hard to leave. The house was beautiful, we loved all fo the tile and the large showers. My grandmother utilized the lift and it worked great for her and her walker. Our Scottie Slim enjoyed sniffing out crabs from their holes around the house. He even spotted a few lizards. We all enjoyed the breeze on both porches, and we saw dolphins jumping in the Gulf right in front of the house. We have stayed at many different rental properties, and this one was the best. Best price, best interior, best amenities with the lift, and best for being active or relaxing on the walk-out porches. We went to Fort Morgan and rode the ferry, just down the road. And then went the other way to Pensacola to see the Blue Angels and into the FREE Naval Air Museum there, it is a must do! A suggestion...A porch swing or hammock would be nice! There were not enough chairs on the porches.

What a fabulous house! Excellent amenities, beautiful beach view. The house definitely exceeded our expectations. Our older dogs appreciated the lift and refused to use steps once they learned there was an easier way to return to house.Will definitely rent again.

Exceptionally clean house. Has everything except a bread knife! Unobstructed view of the Gulf and daily entertainment from the Blue Angels. Great composition tennis courts available at the Beach Club. A beautiful golf course (Peninsula)is 10 minutes from the house.A really nice place to spend a quiet, enjoyable vacation. Only down side are the occassional mosquitoes from the wetlands.

If it's a peaceful beach vacation you are longing for, this is the ideal place to stay. The home is beautiful containing anything you may need during your stay; gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and an uncrowded beach. The only thing lacking was time to stay longer~we will definitely vacation here again.

Pictures of the house don't do it justice. Although not directly on the gulf, the house has great water views. Nicely maintained and sparkling clean.

Stayed last year in June, and we are booking again. The house is fantastic and what a great location. If you like the beach to yourselves, this is it. No crowds like Gulf Shores.

Thankyou so much for a beautiful house. Our girls loved having their own room with a tv. We loved being the only ones around on the beach. Very peaceful. September is the best time. Thankyou!

We absolutely loved our time here. The house had everything you could want, and was just steps away from the beach. Our Dog especially enjoyed the beach and our stay! Thanks for making such a wonderful house open to our fourlegged family member. We will be back!!!
