  My husband and I are residents of Oahu. We wanted to have a our wedding on the North Shore, with a beautiful beach as our backdrop, and a small house that we could entertain our guests (9) with. It worked out perfectly! The property was well looked after and the manager ( Martha) was friendly and helpful. The day before our wedding we went on a 6 mile beach walk with some of it on the street as the tide was up. It was beautiful, and a great way to unwind before the big day. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law liked it so much that they are considering staying next door in the smaller unit on their next stay here.

  What a great rental. Right on the beach! Went to sleep every night listening to the surf. Great for young children as the beach was protected. My family and I had a wonderful time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for an awesome rental. It sleep 8 comfortably. Only disappointment was when we had to come home!

  We had a wonderful time at the Laie House! It is a pleasant, cheerful home with all the necessary amenities to feel at home. The private beach is small but splendid and very recluse. A wonderful place to have a quiet and relaxing visit to Hawaii. The caretakers are friendly and attentive and accommodating. The kitchen utensils are well stocked and the grocery stores are nearby; the discount card provided from the rental made it very cost effective to prepare our own meals. I appreciated the off-street parking and on-site laundry (we returned home with clean clothes!). This is a splendid home to bring the family to vacation. I do suggest a rental car if you want to see the island and its myriad of majestic wonders. This is not the kind of place with discos, clubs and bars...this is a quiet and serene spot on the island-best for a "chilled-out' vacation. Great for family bonding and self reflection. My family did a lot of personal healing work and shifting our familial dynamics here. Blessed Be! I know that this was the first vacation I have been on that didn't leave me feeling like I needed a vacation when I got home! It's so good, my husband has already set himself a vacation for next fall in the studio rental, while I head to Costa Rica! Yes it's so good you will want to return! Mahalo!

  This house was cozy and comfortable and spacious enough for 6 adults. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beach was wonderful and only steps from the house and yard area. We had one day of rain (that happens in January) so we stayed indoors that day and played games and read. The master bedroom has an adjacent small room (sun room) with a sofa bed perfect for a family with a child or two to sleep nearby. We got up each morning to take photos of the beautiful sunrise right in front of the house.

  The property in Laie was outstanding. Location and private beach access were awesome. We were a family of six with adult children. Plenty of room, close to grocery store and North Shore. Great location for getting away from Honolulu. We have been to every island, but this was one of our best trips due to the property location and condition. Would recommend this property to anyone wanting a great location to stay in the North Shore.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  We loved everything about our stay here! The owner, from the initial booking, was super friendly and helpful. Once we got to the North Shore, the caretakers were very helpful and made sure everything was just right. The house was clean and beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated that it was super kid friendly for our large family. The kids loved walking across the street to the Polynesian Cultural Center. In fact, we went back 2 days and then a 3rd time for their Haunted Lagoon. The private beach access was wonderful. Even when the waves were huge elsewhere, the reef kept this part calm so the kids could swim and snorkel, etc. We can't imagine staying in Hawaii any other way! Thanks for a family vacation we will always remember!

  We were dropping a son off at BYU so this property allowed us very close proximity to the campus, the PCC and the beach. We just walked across the street to go to the PCC. Martha was great. The property was immaculate...not Hyatt-like, but roomy and well furnished. If there had been A/C we would have missed the heavenly ocean breezes each night (we tried to be away having fun during the day.) Thanks for the memories. I hope whoever buys it keeps the price and the caretaker the same!

  We enjoyed beign on the North Side of the Island, with less going on. Found the local grocery store and other vendors to be very friendly and accomodating. The on-site manager was helpful and we felt secure througout our stay. Conract, check-in check-out was easy, facilities were as advertised. Bathtub Beach was nice and safe. You do need a car and expect some driving on 2 lane roads when you go out to explore. Would recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear if you have that in mind. Vacationing in Hawaii was just what we needed!

  My family and I stayed at this home for a week in Sept while dropping my daughter off at BYU. It's just lovely! Just as described in the ad! Martha, the property manager, was warm and welcoming, meeting us at the door and making sure we were well taken care of. Its a perfect location, close to all attractions and with a perfect beach right outside your back door. So quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a beautiful area!
