Dick, We had 4 generations under the "Grand Island Manor Roof", lots of celebrations, Mother's 90th, 30th Anniversary for my dear daughter in laws Mom and Dad, "The Green Bay Packers Club" arrived to enjoy first hand Edisto Beach from Wisconsin. My Grandson/Taylen said yesterday, Nanna when do we go back to the Beach? Well, I am doing my homework now, see you soon Dick. Blessings to all who stay at Island Manor......too.

Dick, Thank you again for your hospitality and welcoming us back to the Island Manor - stocked with everything needed for a memorable and comfortable home away from home stay! We had a wonderful and relaxing family vacation at Edisto! We were lucky to rent the same beach house we used for our annual Mother-Daughter trip a few years ago. Our week-long family fun included: sea shell collecting, walks on the beach, watching the Pelicans soar in unison, finding sharks' teeth, sand dollars, starfish, horseshoe crabs and little crabs & even saw several dolphins! My favorite find - a whole conk shell! Our girls enjoyed assembling a mason jar w/ sand and their favorite sea shells to have as a memory of our Edisto vacation. From 9:30 am - Sunset, you could find us on the beach enjoying nothing but the sand, sun & surf! Our 10 yr old daughter spent just about every day, all day boogie boarding, while our 3 yr old daughter collected buckets of sea shells and played in along the water edge on her boogie board. We were happy to have the grand-parents and my brother and his wife/son up for the day on Saturday to complete our memorable stay at the Island Manor! We certainly made many great family memories and had "great fun at the beach" as Megan, our 3 yr old put it. We look forward to many return trips/stays to the Island Manor!!!

Every last one of us LOVED your Island Manor house. When you combine such a fabulous location with perfect weather, you get a great vacation. We found the best spots on the beach to shell as well as the better spots & timing for swimming. It was so relaxing. There was plenty of napping, reading, card playing and even time for 9 holes of golf on two days. The family is already lobbying me to rent the house again next year! Our trip home and down was much easier than trying to get to the Outer Banks in prior years. I-95 was clear and fast the entire way home. I want to thank you so much for the great rental house and the ease in which you make it possible to rent. You may well be hearing from us again for next year.

We stayed at the Island Manor over Thanksgiving and had a great time! The home is lovely and clean, with great ocean views, and a well equipped kitchen with a BRAND NEW stove! The beds were comfy and the space served our family of 11 very well. We loved being steps away from the water. The house felt like home to us by the end of the week. The owner was responsive to all questions -- I hope we can stay here again!

We stayed at Island Manor May 31-June 7, 2009. We were pleased to see the home was exactly as depicted in the pictures on HomeAway. The home is beautiful and exceptionally well appointed. The kitchen was completely furnished with every kind of pot, pan, and utensil imaginable. AND it was all CLEAN! Ample parking for 6 vehicles (3 of which are easy in/out). The beds are very comfortable and house furnishings accommodated our group of 10 in good style and comfort. The new plasma TV and wireless internet worked to perfection. We highly recommend Island Manor and it will be our choice for our next return to Edisto. Nancy and William Moore and family PS: Dick Nemes, owner, was responsive to every question/request and was a pleasure to deal with.

The Island Manor on Edisto Beach is simply stunning and immaculate! The decor and amenities are fresh and inviting--hardwood/marble floors, crown molding, granite counters, equipped kitchen, comfortable premium furniture, pristine landscaping, spacious covered porches, and our bedroom offered dramatic sunrises from our pillows while ocean waves lulled us to sleep! Dick was the Master Concierge providing tourist recommendations for Charleston and answering email questions during our stay. The island of Edisto is a charming gem! We explored fascinating Botany Bay Plantation and hiked Edisto Beach State Park. We enjoyed dining at the Plantation Grille and the local Piggly Wiggly was convenient providing daily sustenance. Beautiful, clean beaches welcomed our walks every day and shelling was a dream. Eastern Brown Pelicans made daily rounds over the surf as dolphins frolicked in the Atlantic. The Island Manor is the perfect escape to recalibrate your chaotic life and immerse you in refreshment and serenity. We are very grateful we discovered the luxurious Island Manor!

We came with a party of 12 at the beginning of October 2008, and never have rented a vacation home before. We were all more than surprised at our vacation home, we were in love. The Island Manor had everything we needed to make our week stay a very memorable and comfortable one. With Charlston only an hour away it made for an easy trip to do some sightseeing. Loving the house and it's location right on the beach we decided everyother day was to be spent at the Island Manor. The home is beautifully decorated and with there being 12 of us, we never felt on top of each other. The kitchen was more than well equipped with everything you could need. Edisto is a very quaint little town that we loved also, a couple of very good restaurants for the nights we didn't want to cook. We enjoyed watching the dolphins , the sunsets, and the sunrises! We will definitly go back. I can't say enough about it. The owner Dick, really did make this a wonderful experience for all of us.

Our Vacation Home was excellent. View was absolutely breathtaking. Dolphins everyday playing in the surf right in front of your deck chairs. The ability to cook the great fresh shrimp was an extreme pleasure. The four of us needed exactly what Edisto Beach offered........a relaxing, beautiful seaside escape. This is the vacation for those wanting to get away from the hurried life we all live. You can stay on the island and melt into the sand and reflect or you can take to the road and travel a short distance to Savannah or Charleston and take in all the historic nuances or enjoy the nightlife. We just needed to stop and that is what we did.Our rental house was the best on the island. Thanks to all that make this a possible retreat to us land locked seafarers. We really appreciated the quick correspondence of the owners and the details. We will definitely be returning to this small little paradise on earth.
