My boyfriend and I just spent 5 nights in this wonderful condo in Truckee. It was spotlessly clean and has every possible convenience one could imagine. The host provided information for any question a traveler could have from places to eat, to thorough information about activities in the area. All the information was extremely well organized. I would highly recommend this condo!!!! This property would not be good for someone who is mobility impaired.

Christmas at Tahoe Donner

My husband Mike and I stayed at a lovely condo in Tahoe Donner for 8 nights over Christmas 2010. We live in Perth Western Australia and were looking for a 'White Christmas' experience. Wow! What a wonderful experience we had. With bumper snow surrounding us we were so cosy inside! What more could we ask for? The condo is gorgeous. Very comfortable and every time I turned around thinking "I wonder if there is a ?" it was there. For us the skiing at Tahoe donner was ideal. Being in our early 50's we had lost our ski legs a bit over the years. You don't get a lot of practice when you live in such a hot climate. We found our ski legs again at Tahoe Donner and had a fantastic time with the rentals and ski slopes a few metres away. What an easy way to ski. We skied on wide open slopes on feet of fresh powder snow! It was even turned on with fresh powder on Christmas Day. The only down side for us was being away from our kids, who are now in their 20's for Christmas. That was relieved to a certain extent from the great internet connection. We chatted regularly to family on Facebook and MSN messenger. What a great invention. We found the owner Trudy very helpful in giving us all the info and instructions for use of the Condo. This was through emails mainly. Once we got there everything went according to plan. We arrived during a massive snow storm in the Seirra Nevadas and Trudy emailed and gave us safety information about services to ring to keep safe on the journey. All the roads are very well maintained and we were 'dug out' every morning with the paths and steps cleared as well. You do really need to rent a car if you are a tourist because there are no shops on the hill. There is a great Safeway' at Truckee about 5 miles away at the bottom of the hill where you can buy all your groceries and everything you'll need for your stay. This is a lovely little town which has an interesting history. The Trout Creek resort, with outdoor spas in the snow, was just minutes away as well. It was a magic experience sitting out in the snow in a 105 degree hot tub.(Small fee) There is also a members only facility metres away from the condo that has a lovely indoor spa, pool table, computer, games, etc.(Free) Anyway we would recommend Trudy's condo to anyone, except maybe couples looking for a raging nightlife, because there is none on the mountain. You would have to drive into town for that. Mike and I would definitely love to return one day and maybe take the family.

A very comfortable get away location

This one bedroom condo was perfect for us to be near Truckee, yet tucked up on the mountain with wonderful views. A full size kitchen opened to the living room with a fireplace was much better than staying at a hotel. We look forward to our next visit. The Allen's Kohala Ranch Big Island of Hawaii

We rented it for our family of four because our girls had a soccer tournament in Truckee. It was perfect for us! Everything was clean and updated. Everything was great and Trudy's directions about the property made everything stress free. The kids even got to swim after a day on the soccer fields. Thanks for everything we hope to rent it again just to relax next time.

This was the ideal location with a family of four with two young children taking ski lessons. The condo was clean and well kept. The kitchen was perfect for cooking all our meals (except you'll need to bring all your own spices). The kids took the bedroom and my husband and I slept on the Aero mattress in the living room which may of had a slow leak. Trudy (the owner) provided excellent customer service throughout...she'll be checking on that inflatable mattress. We were pleasantly surprised to have cable which I don't think was listed in her description. We definitely will return.

Classy, Cozy Romantic Getaway

This condo was a great experience from first to last. Trudy provided very good customer service during the booking of the unit. She responded promptly at each turn in the process and all went very smoothly. Directions were excellent and the condo itself was very cozy and comfortable for the two of us. The decor was very tasteful and fitting for a mountain getaway. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional. The location was excellent for trying both nordic and alpine skiing. We heartily recommend this condo for another couple and it will be at the top of our list when we return to this area.

Enjoyable stay for our small family.

The condo was a wonderful choice for our family with 2 kids under 5, who were able to share the quality inflatable airbed. The kitchen is exceptionally nice, and the owner is very organized with all the information you would need, both before you arrive, and in an information binder. The queen bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure in the shower. Toiletries, lots of towels, and hairdryer were available. Note, there is no dining "table", just a tall countertop with bar stools, so take care with smaller children. We had to make a makeshift eating area using a placemat on the stone fireplace hearth area for our smaller one to sit on the floor and eat. Also, it would be great if the owner could include a step-stool for the bathroom sink, as it is very high for kids to wash hands or brush teeth. There unfortunately happened to be quite a bit of noise from the condo upstairs during our stay, but the convenient location, roomy layout, and great kitchen would make us highly recommend this condo. Thanks to Trudy, the owner, for a great place to enjoy family time on the ski slopes.

This is an incredible condo that offers much more than we paid for. It is very comfortable and located right next to Tahoe Donner ski area. It has ample of space for entertainment, not only for chit chatting but also for cooking and dining. Definitely recommended for families with 2 kids or a small group of friends like a couple and a friend or 2 couples who do not mind sleeping in the living room.

We had a fantastic stay at Trudy's Tahoe Donnor condo. We actually made the arrangements while on the road but Trudy worked with us to make sure everything worked out great. She was even kind enough to ship all of the stuff we left behind. The condo was wonderful. It is very well kept, comfortable and cozy. The large, modern kitchen provides every amenity of home. The condo is also very kid friendly. We had our almost-two-year old with us and she had a blast. There are playgrounds all over the Tahoe Donner neighborhood. The pools weren't open while we were there but I imagine they are packed during the summer months. Overall, it was definitely a wonderful time. The best thing I can say is we would definitely stay there again if we go back to Tahoe. Thanks, Trudy.

It's cute and cozy place. My husband and I are avid cyclists and it was in a perfect location for easy access to bike lanes and good rides. We really enjoyed our stay.
