Thousand Island Park, established in 1875, is a Victorian Community on Wellesley Island in the heart of 1000 Islands on the St. Lawrence River. The Victorian homes retain the timeless charm of earlier days celebrating family togetherness and soft summer memories. An ice cream parlor, a grocery store, a library, a children's park, tennis courts, and daily recreational games make Thousand Island Park a vibrant, yet relaxing place to visit. All these opportunities are just down the street.
Access to the Island is over an International Bridge. The Bridge is from the mainland of New York State and connects on the other side of the island to Canada. The Wellesley Hotel, a block from the cottage, serves excellent nightly meals. A small cafe below the main dining room often provides entertainment by local musician.
Your cottage is located on the main street within easy walking distance to all amenities of the Park. A LARGE SCREENED IN WRAP AROUND PORCH provides a distant view of the St. Lawrence. There are rocking chairs, a glider, a swing, and a picnic table for meals or games. The porch is an ideal place to read, chat, or just relax and enjoy the serenity of TI Park.
We have five comfortable bedrooms (a King, two Queens, and a Double). A landing at the top of the stairs has twin beds. The cottage comfortably sleeps nine. The first floor features a living room, dining room, den, a half bath, and a kitchen. The kitchen has all the utensils for cooking, complete with staples, and a pantry for your groceries.
YOU WON'T FEEL CROWDED IN THIS COTTAGE...a spacious, comfortable interior awaits you.
THERE IS PARKING ON SITE IN THE LOT BEHIND THE COTTAGE. By parking in the back you can then look out on a nice lawn from the porch. RESERVE NOW FOR SUMMER 2012.

Why the Owner Chose Thousand Island Park
The Park has a mystical hold on many of us who have such good memories of times past. Each year provides a new opportunity to reconnect with "summer friends", share time with invited visitors who've heard me talk endlessly of the wonderful times at The Islands. And always The River is there to calm my soul and nourish my being.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
It is an easy drive to Canada or the mainland for "touristy" activities. You can visit Clayton or Alex Bay for local shops and ware. Larger grocery stores, 2 Big M's, are on Rt.12 on the road to either town. For personal time you cannot beat the front porch. The screens allow for bug free conversations, games, and meals. The lot behind the cottage keeps your car close by and allows a more pleasurable view of the front yard. Look down the street to the River and watch the Ships go by.

Our first summer at Thousand Island Park began in 1958. My parents, our dog, and me were crammed into our station wagon along with bedding, towels, boxes of food, kitchen utensils, and a vast array of home furnishings. The drive from Syracuse had seemed endless in the cramped back seat. Upon pulling the car up to the front entrance, i climbed out of the crowded back seat and was awestruck looking up at this wonderful house. It was love at first sight, and a new River Rat was born.

This is our third stay at the Drake cottage. We love the interior colors, the large rooms and the beds were so comfortable. But our favorite part of the cottage is the porch. Rain or shine we spent much time relaxing, talking, eating, and just being together. The Park itself is so much fun for our children. They went to the main dock to swim, the movies at night, fishing, the games on the main field everymorning with Coach Price. It really was the perfect family vacation. Thanks again, we'll be back.
