Among the pine, maple, aspen and evergreen rhododendron you are now enveloped by natures beauty. Take a hike through two acres of forest which backs up to National Park Service land. After a relaxing morning, drive through the covered bridge across a trout stream as you leave Chairmaker for a multitude of back woods experiences.
You are minutes from beautiful Lake Chatuge for boating, water-skiing, fishing, and swimming. The Appalachian Trail is nearby for hiking. Horseback riding is also just minutes away. If you need a fix of golf or tennis the Ridges Country Club is just three miles away. In the evening enjoy an indoor fireplace or an outdoor firepit on the creek as the sunsets and the chill of the evening arrives. You can plan your next days activities
There are many local parks with beautiful waterfalls,and mountain peeks, however, day excursions are available which include white water rafting of all levels (Nantahalla, Ochoe), Ashville North Carolina (Biltmore Estates),Maggie Valley and the Cherokee Indian Reservation (Trail of Tears), go shopping in Highlands in their antique shops and in Helen, Georgia go tubing and take in an Austrian Alpine Village. In the Winter Snowboarding and Skiing are less than an hour away!
There is much to do in this exciting area but you can also stay connected with your office by phone, fax machine or dial up computer access. Bring your laptop! This cabin is ideal for two families with children!The kids have their own suite! Downstairs!
