Romantic and bright, intimate and comfortable, ATTICO DUOMO is located in the downtown area of San Gimignano (Piazza Duomo). You can see the Collegiata's church, The Palace of Commune and the most beautiful towers of the town. It's located in the XII century medieval palace Useppi-Chigi alongside of Leggieri Theatre. In the 'Attico Duomo' you can spend your journey with tranquillity and privac.
The apartment offers all comforts:

*TV room
*Bright and tranquility reading corner.
*One bathroom with shower.
*One bathroom with laundry but without the shower
*In the reading room you can read books, guides, maps and also get tourist information for assisting you to organize your journey.

The apartment, restructured respecting the original old style, is composed by one double room, one room with two single beds . The penthouse is furnished with antique furnitures, paintings, and particular objects on the walls..


From any window you can admire several kinds of panorama of the countryside cultivated with Wine and sunflowers. Attico Duomo offers for those who love art and nature a perfect starting point from which to discover this marvellous city and the surrounding countryside.
Preferably weekly rentals saturday-saturday.
There is no the elvevator because the apartment is in a very old palace and is impossible to have got this comfort.

HOW TO ARRIVE AT SAN GIMIGNANO:

COMING FROM THE NORTH:
Take the motorway A1 Milano-Roma . Exit at Firenze-Certosa and take immediately the dual carriageway Firenze-Siena direction Siena. Exit at Poggibonsi Nord and follow road signs for San Gimignano.

COMING FROM THE SOUTH:
take the motorway A1 Roma-Milano and exit at Valdichiana. Follow road signs for Siena. At Siena take the dual carriageway direction Firenze and exit at Poggibonsi Nord. Follow road signs for San Gimignano.
You can enter the town only on foot. We can help you for the parking and how to arrive in Piazza Duomo with your luggage.


The same owner has a wonderful chalet in the Lombardy Alpes (near Garda Lake and Trentino land)and a farmhouse in the Crete Senesi, 25 km South of Siena. If you're interested in them send me a mail,please.

    We had a great time and truely enjoyed our stay at your lovely quaint apartment in San Gimignano. We used it to make many day trips throughout the area, it was an excellent home base. The 56 steps up to the apartment kept us in shape. The lady that helped us settle into the apartment was very nice and helpful. It would have been nice to have had her daughter accompany us initially as the lack of English produced some interesting exchanges but it all worked out. If any of our friends ever take a similar trip to Italy and look for a place to stay in Tuscany, we would highly recommend your apartment. Thanks for everything. Richard and Mary Zanarini

  • From the moment we stepped into this sky high apartment we were thrilled with our choice of a place to stay for a week in October. It was restored to perfection and clean as a whistle. The view out to the Duomo was direct and full center. The market on Thursday was an unexpected surprise. Parking was convenient, reasonably priced and close by. Everything was just perfect.

  • Our stay in Attico Duomo in Aug/Sept. 2008 was absolutely perfect! Celebrating our 50th anniversary in San Gimignano was magic! Every day was a new adventure in beautiful Tuscany. Our rental car enabled us to visit many cities, and walking in the hilltowns helped work off the delicious food/wine consumed! Attico Duomo was situated perfectly...with cappucino,internet access,many fine restaurants,and charming shops available. We will be back!

We loved being able to look out the window onto the piazza every morning. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone interested in visiting Tuscany. Of all of the hill towns we visited in Tuscany, San Gimignano was our favorite. We're so glad we chose to stay there and we were very fortunate to find Attico Duomo for rent on VRBO. The owner was very accessible by email and/or phone before and during our stay. This was a very pleasant, easy rental experience with no surprises. We would definitely rent again and hope to return for another holiday in San Gimignano!

  • This apartment located right in the center of San Gimignano, directly across the piazza from the duomo and around the corner from the Piazza de Cisterna is the most convenient, warm and welcoming, wonderful place to stay in all of Tuscany. The convenience of being right in the center of the beautiful, walled town of San Gimignano was exactly what we had hoped for. Every day we walked past our favorite coffe place and then journeyed around Tuscany for the day. From San Gimignano, we toured Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Certaldo, Cortona, Siena, Greve in Chianti, Volterra, Monterrigioni and elsewhere. We had convenient parking outside of the walled town but our vehicle was always readily accessible. The people that own the apartment were also readily accessible by e-mail and by telephone before and during our stay. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay in the heart of San Gimignano at Attico Duomo---it is lovely and the price is right!

  • One never knows when renting a place to stay if it will be as advertised. Like others, I would say that this lovely apartment, and it's location, exceeded our expectations. Everything, including parking, was convenient and functional. There was the added benefit of exercise climbing many stairs to the apartment. The views from all windows were charming. The town offered views, shopping for gifts or practical items, and cultural opportunities. The countryside was right at your doorstep. We visited wineries; traveled to Siena, Voltera, & Lucca; and just "hung out". We recommend getting a local phone. Our efforts at using our cards at public phones, and using the internet cafes close by were frustrating and not too successful.

  • Your apartment was charming, nicely decorated and very clean and well-equipped. We found it a very convenient base for exploring not only San Gimignano itself, but also the other towns and cities of Tuscany (by car). Parking outside the wall at the home of your contact person was conveniently located and problem free. The apartment was exactly as described on your website, with no surprises. We loved the view down to the piazza and the duomo. The bustle of market day was interesting, and a woman musician played the violin down in the piazza in the evenings, so we dined each evening to the strains of Vivaldi et al. We also enjoyed the nest of baby swallows inside the front entrance way, and the cat who watched their progress from the window of a ground floor apartment. Cheers, Bill Frisken.
