This cozy condominium was completely remodeled in the fall of 2005. It is located in the beautiful Yampa Valley near the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, with free bus service just steps away from the front door. It is a five minute ride to the Gondola and a ten minute ride to Old Town Steamboat Springs, for excellent restaurants and shopping.
The condominium is located on the third floor, no noisy neighbors above. There is a sunny south-facing porch from which you can see the ski area. After a day of skiing or hiking, enjoy a hot chocolate by the stone surrounded gas fireplace and enjoy the condominium's hot tubs, sauna, and heated pool. There is DSL available, so bring your laptop and stay in touch. A private ski locker is provided just outside the front door. Books and games are provided for the young and old.
Please no smoking or pets. The unit is professionally cleaned and inventoried before each rental. We do not provide daily housekeeping services.

My husband and I are teachers, I teach art and he teaches math. In 1993 we moved our family to Berlin, Germany where we taught at the JFK School until 2001. After our last child graduated from high school in Berlin we decided to try another overseas teaching location and moved to Lusaka, Zambia (quite a change from Berlin), where we lived and taught for 2 years. We moved back to Steamboat in 2003.
My husband grew up in Steamboat, as did his dad and his grandfather who settled here in the late 1800's.
Why the Owner Chose Shadow Run
We live in Steamboat and bought the condo as a retirement investment. It's been quite fun meeting the various people who have stayed there, with many returning renters.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Our condo is located near the ski mountain and there is a bus stop just a few minutes from the front door. So when you want to ski it's just a few minutes to the gondola. The condo has lots of light as the porch and bedroom window face south. It's located on the 3rd floor giving you a quieter place to stay.
