One enters the apartment into the main living space, comprising a living/seating area and a dining area. The interior design is modern and stylish, with crisp clean lines and matching natural tones over a dark wood parquet floor. The seating area features a large comfy sofa (unfolds into queen sized bed as required), as well as two soft matching footstools. Both seating and dining areas are designed to accommodate four guests in comfort.

With two tall french windows, it is an airy room to relax in. The walls are adorned with framed slices of nature, such as the big tropical palm leaf over the sofa or the smaller pieces over the dining table and TV. The hundred-year-old ceiling beams bring a delightful sense of Paris history, painted a soothing pale grey to harmoniously integrate them with the modern designer look.

The kitchen is semi-open, built into a large recess, next to the dining area. The units are beautifully finished in a glossy white, with stainless steel splash protection. A solid wood worktop brings a contrasting warmth. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one needs for daily living.

Upstairs, the bedroom is very spacious. The bed is a king-size one (very rare in Paris) and is particularly welcoming thanks to its thick luxurious mattress, soft headboard and cushions that match the curtains. Ample clothes storage is provided by the fitted cupboards, while a full-length mirror is convenient for dressing. A smart leather desk and leather chair offer the possibility of working from home if required. The view overlooks the pedestrian square, and double-glazing means that despite the lively central location, the room is quiet.

The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and wall-mounted shower plus shower partition, a towel heater, a lavatory and a stylish rectangular wash basin resting on a slab of exotic teak wood. With a perfectly central location and a beautiful contemporary interior, this is an ideal Paris home from which to explore all the best areas of central Paris on foot.

  • This is the second time I have rented an apartment from Cecile and it was great! The apartment was spacious and is very nicely decorated and comfortable with all the amenities one needs while on vacation. The apartment was perfectly located with a grocery store, bakery and wine shop just a few steps away. This area of the Marais is filled with great restaurants and very nice shops. I would highly recommend any of Cecile's apartments. Cecile is also very nice to deal with and takes good care of her clients!

  • Cecile, I have read the comments left by other guests and completely agree with all of the nice things they say about you and the apartment. We found it to be everything you said it would be. It was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, very well equiped and the booklet you provided explained everything in easy to understand terms. Being very frequent visitors to Paris we found the location of the apartment to be our favorite. It was right in the heart of everything we wanted to do and everyplace we wanted to go. Dealing with you was also a real pleasure. You were not only helpful in all of the details, but honorable in all the business dealings as well.   • What a wonderful apartment, clean and comfortable and very chic and modern. Trendy boho area of Paris make it ideally suited for those that like to stroll.Only downside is the climb up a narrow stairwell 3 flights but the exercise is good for you.

  • AWESOME LOCATION, surrounded by HIP SHOPS & RESTAURANTS-you couldn't ask for a much better flat!!! The apartment loaded with amenities is perfect for 2-4 people. With its diverse shops, nightlife and culinary destinations-the Marais is so full of life day or night (even in August)! Did I mention the yummy boulangerie on the corner that my daughter was addicted to? We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!!!

  • Cecile - The Marais Village 2 apartment was a dream come true. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we felt just like locals and started living like locals. With the supermarket down the street, the wine store and bakery at the corner, the location was perfect. The metro was also just a block or two away and made getting around the city a pleasure. Walking distance to the Seine and Notre Dame, the location could not be more perfect. We also enjoyed the square located just at the corner - lively cafes and great pizza! The apartment itself was ideal for two. Everything was as represented on the website, if not nicer. It was very clean and very well appointed. I really liked the fact that the living/dining/kitchen was on one floor, and the bedroom upstairs. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in Europe - a true King size. We could not have asked for a more wonderful visit and plan to book this apartment again when we return to Paris - hopefully, that will be very soon! Thanks again... Mary Jane

  • We loved staying at this apartment during our visit to Paris. The apartment and location were perfect, we enjoyed ourselves so much. The decor and furnishings were elegant and comfortable, and we loved the large upstairs bedroom with extremely comfortable king-sized bed. The information booklet left for us was really helpful. The delicious little bakery right across the street, the grocery store also on our street and the nearby open market and metro station made it all easy. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Having previously lived in the Marais we were keen to have our holiday there and "Marais Village" was ideally located to enable us to enjoy all the delights of this very French and very happening area. The appartment was excellent in all respects and the process of arrival and departure was made very easy by Cecile.
