This home is Tahoe's finest lakefront rental. It is ingeniously designed, to take full advantage of the breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe! Wrap-around glass windows, soaring ceilings, hydronically supplied heat and 7400 square feet of living space create luxury worthy of those with the most discerning taste.
You don't have to leave the home to enjoy the large billiard room, fun floor-plan and two over-the-top state-of-the-art Runco theaters personally installed by Sam Runco (who stays at the home yearly). The rest of the home is filled with new large flat-screen TV's.
Relaxing is easy in the roof-top Jacuzzi, which offers a 360 degree view of Lake Tahoe and the beauty of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains. To keep in touch while on vacation, there is a fully-equipped lakeside office, including a DSL-linked Windows based computer, fax and scanner.
A new large boat dock was installed last year, and boaters and jet-skiiers appreciate how Tahoe Keys is closely situated relative to Tahoe's most sought after marine destination--gorgeous Emerald Bay.
This home has been the repeat choice of many well-known guests with sophisticated tastes, including: Barry Manilow, Pamela Lee Anderson, Dan Quayle, John Mellencamp, etc., yet the rental fees are the same or minimally higher than for other rental homes of far less value. Sean's On the Shore is the largest home in the city of South Lake Tahoe.
The home is run and maintained by it's owner, Sean Degnan MD, who resides nearby and checks guests into the home, thus assuring a more personal experience and that everything in the home is in working order. Dr. Sean has just completed the 3 year constuction of his "Bali Beach" lakefront home a few residences away (see VRBO listing #258244). The large coveted volleyball court located there will be available for rental guests to enjoy by the summer of 2010.

Tahoe Keys in South Lake Tahoe is the most fun place to be on the lake with the best views, beaches, proximity to all the social life and everyone's ultimate boating destination, Emerald Bay. South Lake Tahoe has something for everyone--skiing, snow boarding, hiking, gaming, nightlife, water sports, outdoor concerts and lots more.
The Unique Benefits at this House
My property is one of only a few actually situated on the lake in the fun recreational community known as Tahoe Keys. Sean's On the Shore, due to its wrap-around windows and open floor plan, affords the best possible views of the lake and mountains. The private beach is rock and debris-free. Boating to Emerald Bay is much easier than from farther away locations, as is driving to most of the commonly sought-after desinations in the Tahoe Basin.
This is the most photographed natural wonder in the US and every Tahoe boaters ultimate distination. It is located much closer to Tahoe Keys than the rest of the lake's residential areas.

I am a semi-retired professional who was a former work-a-holic in the Palm Springs area who never dreamed I would be fortunate enough to now live on the shores of Lake Tahoe. I am recreationally and socially active, and can't think of another place I'd rather be! My home has brought me many friends. Here is a shot of me with Motley Crue's frontman,Vince Neal, and his lovely wife Leah, at the opening of The Palms resort in Las Vegas. I've enjoyed repairing a laceration on John Mellencamp's eyelid, and breaking bread with the likes of Metallica's Lars Ulrich and former VP Dan Quayle. I've equally enjoyed sharing my home with the more typical wonderful families that return to stay with me on a regular basis.

The Views are amazing and the amenities are perfect. The master bedroom is great i didn't even want to leave the room!!! The beach is right out the back of the house you can't get any closer without getting wet!! The view of the lake is breathtaking you see it the second you step into the home. The big fully equipped kitchen and separate dinning area was perfect for our entertaining. The grill out back by the beach is fantastic! All in all this was a House to remember we will be back!!! Thanks for all the memories Sean!!
