Villa Dorado is a three bedroom luxury villa located across the street from the beach and the famous Club Del Mar. The villa features stunning ocean views, and sits at the base of a 50 hectare rainforest preserve. You can watch monkeys, sloths and toucans play from the balcony and the sunsets are amazing! We are located at southern end of Jaco, only a five minute cab ride ($3.00) to the center of town or a beautiful walk along the beach!
The upstairs villa sleeps four to six people comfortably, there are two bathrooms and two bedrooms, one being a master suite and both with air conditioning for a cool & quiet night's sleep! The villa is professionally decorated with custom made furnishings, teak woods, T.V., Cable, CD Player, Ipod Player and Digital Safe.
The large balcony/patio has great ocean views, along with ocean breezes. You will love sipping on a tropical drink and watching the brilliant sunsets.
The middle floor has one large bedroom w/ a king bed & air conditioning (this bedroom has a futon also) and 1 bathroom. Beautiful full kitchen, living room with queen size sleeper sofa, T.V. DVD, CD, Ipod player and private digital safe. It is very spacious with great views and large patio
~There is also a queen size Aero bed for use on either floor.

The villa can be rented out three ways...the whole villa ~ 2 Bedroom/ 2 Bath ~ or
1 Bedroom/ 1 Bath. The rates are as follows...High season is December-May
Whole villa $2200-$2500 High season ~ Low season $1800
2 Bedroom / 2 Bath $1500 High season ~ $1200 Low season
1 Bedroom / 1 Bath $1200 High season ~ $900 Low season
Holiday rates higher ~ Cleaning fee $50 ~ whole villa is $100
Refundable security deposit is $250 ~ whole villa is $500
Stays longer than 1 week are prorated daily ~ All taxes are included ~

Why the Owner Chose Jaco
We fell in love with the beautiful scenery and friendly people of Costa Rica on our first trip in 2005. We've traveled quite a bit in Hawaii and Mexico with our 3 sons and found Costa Rica to be a unique blend of both. Our oldest son decided he wanted to live there and we saw Costa Rica as a growing destination location for travelers who were looking for a unique vacation experience. Known for its vast eco-tourism, surfing, and fishing, Costa Rica seemed like a wonderful place to "hang your hat" and enjoy a slower pace.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
The view !!! Sit on either one of the porches in the morning and you're bound to see monkeys, toucans, macaws, or butterflies in the surrounding rainforest. You can check the surf, too! In the evening you can relax and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets.
It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive into the town of Jaco. It has plenty of shopping and restaurants. It's close and convenient to all the fun things you'll want to do, but being on the south end of town, you'll appreciate the quiet and privacy of Villa Dorada.
It's a 7 minute drive south to the bigger surf of Playa Hermosa, and a 10 minute drive north to the golf, marina, and fishing boats at Los Suenos.
One of these days Google maps will have a clearer picture, but for now this will have to do.
Driving south on the highway, Villa Dorada is 100 meters south of the gas station across from Hotel Club del Mar.
The hotel is just past Villa Dorada. If you pass the hotel, turn around and we're on the right.

You are adventurous and enjoy traveling in general, but especially enjoy tropical locations. You look forward to experiencing new places and cultures, probably enjoy the outdoors and the ocean in particular, and appreciate staying in attractive and comfortable accommodations that have all the amenities of home without the expense or attitude of a resort. Maria earned her traveler's wings as a child as she traveled throughout the U.S. with her family. Every summer the family would pile into the motorhome and take off for weeks at a time. They've been to Canada and all 50 States except Alaska. She's at home anywhere in the world and loves introducing family and friends to Costa Rica. Well known for the fabulous meals she prepares, Maria enjoys having spacious and well equipped kitchens at Villa Dorada.
Mark's traveling was heavily influenced by his dad's love of the ocean, adventure, and Mexico. He was taught to sail before he could swim, and loves to surf, dive, and fish. Family vacations took him to the Aztec ruins of Teotihuacan, exploring the cobblestone streets of Taxco, and the sunny beaches of Puerto Vallarta. Mark's travels included many fishing trips to the East Cape of Baja, Cabo San Lucas, and Mazatlan. Being coerced into the role of "official translator" has definitely paid off and he loves the Latin culture and speaks Spanish pretty well. His most favorite expression...Como se dice?
Their three sons have been indoctrinated well and have joined Mom and Dad exploring the oceans of Hawaii, Mexico, Baja, and some of the Carribean. They've climbed Mayan ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and Guatemala, zip-lined through the rain-forest and played in the waterfalls of Costa Rica. They're becoming good world citizens!
