"Once Upon a Tide" is a waterfront home located on Hood Canal in Belfair, WA. It is the perfect beach getaway – just 90 minutes from Seattle. The beach house sits on 100 feet of private, no-bank, pebble beach waterfront and features a large deck to take in the spectacular views.

The home sleeps six and has two bedrooms and a loft. The main floor features a large great room with a spacious dining area along with the kitchen, large bedroom (queen sized bed), and full bath. A spiral staircase leads to the second bedroom (queen sized bed) with half bathroom, and a catwalk takes you to the loft area with two twin beds.

In addition to enjoying the incredible waterfront views, and everything that Hood Canal has to offer, you can enjoy unlimited usage of the provided sup (stand up paddle board) and kayaks. You can also get back to basics with a campfire on the beach (please check for burning restrictions) or head out to the boat-house to play a game of ping pong or electronic darts - all with an incredible view!

Activities at "Once Upon a Tide" include: paddleboarding (included), kayaking (included), swimming (summer water temperatures reach 70+ degrees), oyster picking, crabbing, clam digging, and incredible fishing (salmon, steelhead, sea trout). Close to Hoodsport – a world class scuba diving destination, wine tasting, and golf (five local courses, including Alderbrook).

"Once Upon a Tide" is very well appointed - providing all the comforts of home! Amenities include – cable TV, high speed Wifi, Keurig coffee machine, Weber gas grill and washer/dryer.

Perfect for relaxing getaway

My wife and I had been hoping to get away to Hood Canal for many years and this place was perfect. Excellent access to the water (and oyster bed!) from a perfectly appointed home. Owners were very responsive when we had questions.

beautiful spot for rest/recovery

we loved this property - easy access to the beach and great kayaks/SUPs. it was so pleasant to sit and stare at the water. we would definitely go back!

We love Tahuya!

Staying at this lovely home has become an annual event for our family. We always have the most wonderful time! The kids have learned to kayak on their own using the provided kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We always make our way through at least half of the board games. And my youngest has really enjoyed playing the Lego video game. The boathouse is also a favorite! The kids love to play ping pong and the ring on the string game. The spacious deck is one of my favorite places and the place where we hang out the most. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place!

Beautiful, relaxing vacation

This property was everything I expected, and just as it seemed in the listing. Beautiful and relaxing. A bonus I didn't notice in the listing was the swimming dock just off the shore. Owner was very responsive and helpful. One minor adjustment I'd add is that the confirmation email seemed to indicate that K cups were necessary. However, there is also a traditional coffee pot. Highly recommend this vacation home!

This home sits on a beautiful double waterfront lot with 100' of pebble beach. The views of Hood Canal are incredible.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with this property the moment we saw it. It offers the best of waterfront living and hood canal. We especially love the private, pebble beach and have worked very hard to update the home and make it warm and inviting for all that visit.
