  We spent our annual ladies retreat here at Acre on the Lake and it was great! The house was very roomy and very comfortable. The beds were comfy and the living area worked well for our group. The view of the lake was great also, so peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub was very clean, be careful with the jets they really can heat up fast. Can't wait to come again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

  Acre on a lake was an amazing experience for my family and i. From the big front yard to the cozy fire place. Walking in house was very comfy and well maintained. Acre on a lake has to be our favorite  house to come enjoy some beach time and at the same time some lake adventures. We planned to stay for a couple days but the house was so comfy and pleasing that we had to stay an extra day. The house was well equipped with everything that all we needed was our clothes. My favorite part of the house was the hot tub facing the lake, awww how relaxing. Oh ya and the ping pong table was a blast. Acre on the lake was an amazing experience that we plan to come back soon...Very soon. I am going to recommend this house to all my family and friends because this is a house that everyone should experience. Thanks leslie you were very helpful with everything.

  We were 3 families of 4, with kids ranging from 2yr -9yr old. Acre on the Lake is a great family house. The large lawn going out to the lake(excellent for playing), proximity of the house to the lake, ping pong table & hot tub were all hits with both adults and kids. The big windows in the living room made it easy to keep an eye on kids down at the dock or water. The ability to close off the main area of the house from the bedroom area was awesome for when kids were napping or in bed for the night. Our families also enjoyed fishing off the dock, swinging on the tree swing, cooking hot dogs over the fire pit and kayaking around the bay. We brought our speed boat and enjoyed water skiing (make sure to bring your wet suit). We made many great memories and can't wait to come back next year! Recommendations: Bring a canoe, kayak or boat. Life jackets for kids and fishing gear.

  We ten ladies enjoyed the Martin Luther King week end very much. The living, dining, kitchen area met our needs very well. We are all family and enjoy many crafts and just being together. This would also be a great location if you have children because of the wonderful yard. The scenery is great. Directions to the driveway were confusing but after a couple of turn arounds we found it. I personally liked that it was all on one level. Most places if you are on the ocean are two or three stories. Lots of stairs.

  overall location and view and accessability to lake outstanding. house adequate, especially for price. nice floorplan for group and plenty of space. small issues: maintenance items such as loose towelbars, difficult to direct hand-held shower head, missing lightbulbs in dining room fixture (we found some and put them in) ants in master bath, kitchen cabinet door/drawer issues, stains on carpet, and other incidental repairs necessary throughout the house. we would, however, rent it again if needed, as the price was very reasonable and the home was comfortable. oh, we started the washer and it stopped twice. we figured out that the button that is compressed with the lid opening and closing was sticking. Affordable and adequate house in good location.

  The house was super spacious and warm. It rained for most of the weekend, so we didn't get to go outside much. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to our trip. If you are planning on using it, my suggestion is to check it as soon as you get there to make sure it's turned on. It was cold when we got there, but quickly warmed up in approximately two hours. The kitchen was very spacious for eight women to move about (we cooked a lot). One thing that was misleading- the photos make it look like the house is secluded, but it is definitely not! There were two houses RIGHT next to the Acre on the Lake. No big deal, just wanted to share. I would stay in this house again! The owner was very nice and helpful through email and phone. She made it easy to want to stay (plus she let us check out at 3pm on Sunday)! Thanks!

  Our experience in renting this property was excellent. The registration process was easy, the owner communicated promptly by phone with answers to our questions, the information sheet that was sent by email was thorough. Our family group included grandparent, kids and grandkids and the house and grounds were a great fit for the 10 of us. The house isn't fancy, but it was clean and well-supplied and equipped. Although our main activities were swimming in the lake, enjoying the large grassy back yard for games, reading and gazing at the lake, using the hot tub and the large table on the patio, playing ping pong in the garage, and eating and playing cards at the large table in the dining area, we also enjoyed the US-Mexico soccer game on the large living room TV and were able to use the iPad someone brought along on the free WiFi. None of us were able to change the TV from the DVD function to TV function, so I put in a call to the owner and she had help over within the hour. We had a great time and would definitely rent this lovely spot again.

  The house was fun and we all had a great stay, I woke up to the sunny sky reflecting on the lake. Plenty of room and space outside too, only downfall was hot tub heater was not working and heater in living room was constantly on, but otherwise it was a perfect weekend and I'd love to rent it out again in the future!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Owner response: I am so glad you had a great time. The hot tub is working great, and in May we removed the living room heaters and installed a heat pump for heat or air conditioning. Next time you come please call us for a quick response (we live 5 minutes away).

  Eight of us had a 3 day/2 night staff retreat at Acre on the Lake. The location is absolutely incredible! Many hours were spent on the dock reading in the sun. But you're also a 5 minute drive from Lincoln City and the beach! You can't find a better spot. Unfortunately when we arrived the key was not left in the lockbox by the previous renter. But Leslie personally drove to the house to make sure we had a key! She was so nice! We would love to use Acre on the Lake again in the future!

  We had a get2gether in Acre on the lake house ( uly 2011) & had a blast !! The lake front acre property was just perfect for us to enjoy the summer! We played volleyball, throwball, basketball, pingpong in the property and it was so much fun! Since all the rooms were in the same floor, it was very convenient for us to look up on the kids. The house as it is, is bit older for our taste and had few repairs here & there(esp the washrooms). But overall, we loved the house mainly for its location and had a great stay there. Hottub with lake view was awesome. I wud highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the lake with a gr8 BIG backyard :-)

  Wonderful place for three families with kids. We enjoyed the volleyball and pingpong. The kids loved the little beach and lily pads. Three deer also made themselves at home eating the blackberries -- fun for all to watch!

  Remarkable experience! Our family time there re-awakened boy hood dreams of rompng in paradise! It is perfectly appointed as a lake house, not "overdone", allowing for a most comfortable at home feel. The lake is huge with, boating, sailing, fishing...we did it all. The acre is more like an acre and a half. Next year we are bringing our yard games. The family is looking forward to many return trips. Thank you to Leslie and Brian for making this one of Oregons truly unique experiences.

  Stayed here over spring break and loved it! The lake is so beautiful and it is minutes away from the beach! Even caught a fish off the dock. Warm and cozy... lots of great memories from that trip! Owners are easy to work with as well.

  We had a great family reunion here. We enjoyed watching the kids run around while we sipped drinks under the covered patio. The kids played baseball, the adults joined them at ping pong and volleyball, and we all had a great time both at the Lake and at the beach. Weather was great and the house was comfy!
