If you are looking for the ultimate vacation, 1602 Windy Hill Dunes is the place for you! This spectacular one of a kind 4 bedroom, 4 bath oceanfront penthouse unit offers 3320 sq ft of living space. Located in the 17 block Windy Hill section of North Myrtle Beach, Windy Hill Dunes (completed in 2000) is one of the first luxury high rise condominiums built in North Myrtle Beach. Windy Hill Dunes is secluded from the hectic vacation crowds, yet within 1/2 mile of shopping and dining at Barefoot Landing.

Our 16h floor Penthouse is uniquely different than the standard vacation rental condo. This Penthouse Unit has spacious bedrooms, every one of which has a walk in closet, TV with DVD/VCR players, and ceiling fans. The bathrooms are larger than normal and there is a wet bar located near the family room with an ice machine.

The 52 ft. long oceanfront balcony offers spectacular ocean views with plenty of space to relax on one of the two chaise lounge chairs or a place to have a morning coffee on one of the two oceanfront balcony tables. Windy Hill Dunes has High Speed WiFi Internet access and comes furnished with beautiful ceramic tile floors, along with plush carpeting in the bedrooms.

The spacious fully stocked kitchen comes with a large refrigerator with in door ice maker and chilled waster, a range with radiant cook tops, microwave, and dishwasher. Our condo also has a separate laundry room with washer and dryer and counter space to iron and fold you clothes.

The Living Room is divided into two areas with two TV’s. One of them has a 57" HDTV Big Screen TV with a HDTV Cable Box, a VCR/DVD player, and both a Playstaion II and X-BOX with 15 games. The other has a Sony TV with a DVD/VCR player. The most spectacular feature is the ceiling to floor windows that offer spectacular ocean views from the kitchen, dining room, family room, and master bedroom.

Windy Hill Dunes has an oceanfront pool, a lazy river, an oceanfront hot tub, a kiddie pool and a fitness center. Our non-smoking condo has a king size bed in the master bedroom, a second bedroom with a king sized bed, two queen size beds in the third bedroom, and 2 queen beds in the fourth bedroom. There are also 4 twin roll-out beds and a queen sleeper sofa that can be used to accommodate 6 extra guests, if needed.

Windy Hill Dunes is located across from Barefoot Landing, 2 miles north of restaurant row, and close to many area attractions; including Dixie Stampede, Grand Prix amusement park, Alligator Adventure, golf courses, miniature golf courses, and many other entertainment attractions.

  • We spent 4 days/3 nights at this wonderful "home away from home" with our adult children & their 4 children ( our grandkids)... what pure delight ( & we gather together frequently in our nearby homes)! The pictures on the site do Not do the unit justice... it is so beautifully appointed, spaciously comfortable and esthetically pleasing. The floor plan lends itself for perfect privacy when needed,but also has ideal, roomy common areas for all to dine & play.The kitchen is so well equipped that it was quite easy to prepare meals for the 10 of us. Highly recommend 1602 !!

  • The pictures do not do this unit justice. The condo is absolutely beautiful. As other people have commented, there is plenty of room. We have a group that get together and go to the beach. Some of the guys even went to grade school together. Some of the girls are scrapbookers and there was plenty of room for that. (I thought the walk-in closets would make great spaces to scrapbook that is how large they are.) We have stayed numerous places and the vote from now on is that if this unit is available, it will by the unit that is rented.

  • Every fall, we get together with my siblings and spouses (no children allowed!) and rent a house or condo on the Grand Strand for a week. We've done this for years and have always stayed at wonderful places. However, this year was the absolute best! The owner is so nice to deal with, and this place is so comfortable, has such a gorgeous view, and is so convenient, we're planning to return to this unit next year. We usually like to cultivate a new place every year, but we liked this one so well, we voted unanimously to book it again next time.

  • WOW!! This place is absolutely amazing. I'm not easily impressed, but this condo really impressed me! It is beautifully decorated, very large, and has an unbelievable view. It is so not your typical beach condo. It was more of a home away from home. The condo had everything you could possibly need or want. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Plus Mike was a pleasure to deal with on our spur of the moment vacation -- thanks for sharing your condo with us!

  • WOW - What a wonderful place. You will be please with the tasteful decor and luxurious furniture! Very quiet place with just enough amenities. Very clean - VERY large. Would recommend it highly. One note, literature states there is an X-box in unit.. it is a Play station 2.
