Welcome to Menton, on the Cote d Azur, a unique town with the warmest climate in all of France. It is located on the border of the Italy and It has a lot to offer e.g Menton has a beautiful old town and a wide variety of bistros, a casino, movie theatres, concerts,museums, gardens.
We can offer a lovely spacious (104 sqm) apartment in the Winter Palace. All windows have a sea view. The apartment suits 6 people. It has 3 large rooms with french doors, one room has a small balcony. The two large bedroom have private entrances. Each one has a beautiful private bathroom.
This apartment is fully equipped There are high ceilings and it is therefore cool in summer. Winter comfort is provided by radiators. There is an original painted Art Deco ceiling of 1910.. Two rooms have original fire places (non working).
Relax with your drink on a bench in the enclosed gardens and enjoy the view of the Alpes, the trees in the sub tropical garden.
Walk to the sea, the buses, the train, the restaurants, the shops, the daily market, the banks within 10 min.
Historical Notes:
The Winter Palace was an elegant hotel used in the early 20th century European nobility. After the 2nd World War, the Winter Palace was converted to apartments. The Winter Palace stands in a lovely enclosed garden containing a wide variety of sub-tropical plants. It faces south offering a clear view of the sea, the garden and the town of Menton.

We stay in this beautiful apartment in september 2009 for one week. The winterpaleis is really very beautiful even as the apartment with all his orginal details, like floors, fireplaces and the orginele celling. The apartment is very big, clean and very comfertable and have from all the rooms a very lovely view overlooking the garden and sea. In the evening is this really amazing, with all the lights from the lot of cruise ships. I was very happy with the fact that the apartment have a small office corner with fast internet connection. . Within a couple min walking we have found a lot of shops, supermarket. very good restaurants, and afcourse the beach. Also there is a market. Also the train station is a couple of min walking. Our host Anna, is very helpful and give us all the information about Menton and have arrange everthing for us, like keys a good route to the winterpaleis from the high way. As we go in the future to Menton shall we book this apartment again,Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Menton is a lovely place to be in terms of pleasant people, good restaurants, shops and markets and public transportation. All this within an 10 minute walk. The apartment is a lovely calm place to be. The building has the elegance of 100 years ago. Everywhere you look you see pretty art deco.
The view of the garden, the town of Menton and the sea provides for happy days on the days you feel like staying home.
