Apartment with 3 large rooms in the Winter Palace. The Winter Palace was an elegant hotel used in the early 20th century European nobility. After the 2nd World War, the Winter Palace was converted to apartments. The Winter Palace stands in a lovely enclosed garden containing a wide variety of sub-tropical plants. It faces south offering a clear view of the sea, the garden and the town of Menton. It is only (walking) minutes away from a range of shops and restaurants and the sea. The bus station is a six minute walk and the train station 10. There is parking in the garden.
This apartment is fully equipped and has recently been restored to its former glory. There are high ceilings and it is therefore cool in summer. Winter comfort is provided by radiators. There is an original painted Art Deco ceiling of 1910. All rooms have large french doors, one room has a small balcony. Two rooms have original fire places (non working). The floor area is approximately 100 square meters. The apartment can be rented as one unit, or part of it, as it used to be two suites. Menton has a beautiful old town and a wide variety of bistros, a casino, movie theatres, concerts,museums, gardens.
