Perfect location, comfortable and cosy home away from home!

We have one night left of our two week vacation at this lovely condo. After our 12 hour journey to get here, I can just say that we were all pleasantly surprised with our home away from home. It was a perfect place for my 61 year old mother, my four year old son and my husband and I.We were VERY happy with the amenities and condo. My husband and I enjoyed having our own lanai, bathroom and TV in our master bedroom. It was a perfect location, a two minute walk to the beach and the condo pool and hot tub made a great alternative. The food choices close by were both delicious and convenient, sushi, Indian, the BEST tacos, the Cinnamon Roll Place was a treat in the mornings ( the line was long but worth the wait for an oven fresh piece of heaven) and Bistro 808 just down the street was both delicious and extremely affordable. (BYOB - a lot of places are like that...take advantage :) I celebrated my 36 birthday here and it will be one of the greatest for sure. Trish and her husband were a pleasure to deal with and I look forward to returning in the future. Thank you!

Two weeks in paradise

My husband and I recently spent two weeks in Hawaii. We did some island-hopping, but spent the majority of our time on Maui. We highly recommend Maui, and we highly recommend this rental. The views from both lanais are spectacular. Now that we are back home, I keep dreaming about the beautiful sunsets, as well as sitting on the lanai in the morning with our coffee. Our condo was a quick walk to a beautiful beach. Moreover, it was located near several lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance. We explored Maui and loved it. We really did love the location of the Kihei Alii Kai. Very convenient to the beach, shopping, biking, hiking and relaxing. We highly recommend this unit---very warm and welcoming---and would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks to the owners for taking such special care to make sure our experience was memorable--truly once in a lifetime. Mahalo.

Absolutely beautiful! Plenty of room, well-equipped kitchen, two beautiful linais ?sp (porches) with an ocean view. Owners description is right-on. Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and awesome beach. Would/did and will recommend this place to friends. The owners were very helpful with everything. They have an eye for detail and comfort. I most enjoyed the pool, the beach, the two porches, and the upstairs loft which had a gorgeous view and a comfy place to sleep. The master bedroom & linai were honeymoon material with a postcard view of Mauri. Thank you for sharing your little bit of heaven with us. Too bad it is >4000 miles from our home but God-willing we'll be back:)

Not what we expected :(

This condo was not what we expected. The beds were clean and the countertops etc. dusted, however there were little bugs in the kitchen that seemed to live by the sinks that made it impossible to leave even boxes of sealed food out anywhere on the counters. We bought plastic ziplocks and had to seal our bread, cereal etc. in the fridge. The fridge door did not shut all the way at the bottom and some of the bugs could actually be found past the seal of the fridge door at the bottom. They were in the vent above the stove and also in between the dw and the fridge, and all around the sink in one bathroom, so we were left to use only one bathroom and shower. I did use the cleaning supplies in the condo to give the kitchen area and bathroom sink a thorough cleaning, but the little bugs remained. As well, there was 1 inch thick dust on the ceiling fan in the one bedroom on the main floor that meant we could not use the fan, or the dust would fall off in clumps on the bedding- yuck! This unit appeared not to have had a thorough cleaning in some time as there was greasy dust on the light fixtures in all the rooms. We decided not to use the loft because of the questionable cleanliness and the kids ended up having to share a room. The air quality seemed worse once you put the dryer on, as the dryer lint vented into the living room. As well, the furniture in the living room was quite stained and the deck furniture required that you put towels on the chairs (but the view was nice, as we did not choose to spend much time inside the actual unit). The location was good and the kids liked the pool, bbq area was nice by the pool as well. However, we would not recommend this unit to our friends or family because the photos did not reflect the rental's true appearance and had not been maintained. We would stay in this area again, however not this unit. We took photos as well to reflect the true condition of the condo currently.

Owner response:Our Guest comforts come first so in attempt to fix any problem, we have a team investigate the complaint. A new cleaning crew was hired. The building maintenance was informed to check out Maui ants & spray to eliminate unwanted guest. Our refrigerator is 2 months old & is in good working condition. Lani chairs are to be replaced as needed. The Island Weather made them looked washed out but they are very useable for Guest to enjoy as they take in the sights of the Pacific! Mahalo

I took my sister to stay at this perfect condo last month. I get to go there again in 9 days with my husband for our 33rd anniversary. Thank you so much Trish for a wonderful stay. This condo was clean, the views amazing and a very comfortable nice place to stay. To say the least we have already booked for April 2011. PS - We were so busy enjoying everything that we forgot to write in the guest book, I will fix that on the next trip. Thank you so much again.

My husband and I loved this condo! We brought our youngest daughter, age 16 and her two best friends. The loft was their favorite "get away" for ipod, TV, laptop, girl time and sleeping for 3. They used the 2nd bedroom for changing and primping and a place to keep their clothes. The condo is roomy, comfortable and decorated to feel like home. The top floor with the vaulted ceilings is especially nice and the view from both lanais is wonderful. Great location especially for the girls to go to the beaches by themselves and walk to all shopping. The only bad part of our stay was that it wasn't long enough! We highly recommend this property and would stay there again without hesitation. The owners are friendly and very prompt in all communications we had with them. Kihei is a great central location beach town that makes it easy to visit other parts of the island in any direction. We stayed in this complex 4 years ago in a first floor unit and moving to the top floor made all the difference. Great pool and best hot tub in the USA! Best fish tacos at Jawz Tacos in the Azeka Mauka shopping center on Kihei rd. No ocean view but incredible food and the locals eat there. Very cute decor.

Our family of 8, ranging in age from 1 year to 55 years, stayed here for a week in August, 2008. This was a fabulous arrangement for us. Everyone had enough space for privacy, and the amenities were even better than advertised. The floor plan is very efficient; the condo was very nicely updated and tastefully furnished, very well equipped. It felt spacious, even though there were 8 of us! There is a view of the ocean, and it's just a block from a wonderful beach. The pool and hot tub were also very nice, and we spent more time there than we expected. We happened to be there during the Olympics, so it was very nice to have a large screen t.v. (the condo has 3 separate flat screen t.v.s). The location in Kihei and on the island was also very convenient. We tried snorkeling and surfing (in Lahaina, a 1/2 hour drive), which we really enjoyed. I highly recommend this condo, and would stay there again.
