The large east and south facing windows allow you to view the beauty of sun and moon rises and falling snow in the comfort of this secluded, cozy retreat. Just two miles from the ski resort’s high speed quad lift and one of the highest golf courses in the United States, this fully equipped vacation villa needs only you to complete this perfect mountain hideaway.
The living and kitchen area is light and spacious. An open bedroom area has large windows so you can look out at the starlit sky while falling asleep to the quiet peacefulness of the mountain breeze blowing through the aspens. Our gas stove heater provides ample heat on cold nights while enjoying the warm glow of the hearth. Accommodations include one queen bed and one queen sofa bed, perfect for a family of four.
Angel Fire is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Summers are delightfully cool and refreshing. There is an easy hiking trail through the woods just outside your door or for the more adventuresome hiker, there’s Wheeler Peak, at over 13,000 feet. Eagle Nest Lake offers terrific fishing for trout, bass and perch. Several streams provide anglers ample opportunity to ply for cool water trout. The 18 hole PGA golf course is gorgeous and challenging with lots of creeks, trees and beautiful scenery. Every year a family of Canadian geese nest on the 9th hole pond. It’s not surprising for golfers to catch baby geese waddling behind their parents out onto the fairway. The fall is breathtaking with aspens coloring the hillsides in golden patchwork. Elk can often wander into the yard and it is quite exciting to hear the wily bull elk bulging in the distance. In the winter, skiing is fantastic, and snowboarders love the new terrain park. The Angel Fire Ski Resort is family oriented and world renowned for their Children’s Ski and Snowboard Center. The Chili Express high speed quad chairlift carries skiers to the top of the mountain in eight minutes. Snowmaking covers 60% of the mountain, so good ski conditions are almost guaranteed! The ski area includes 19 KM of groomed Nordic trails and night tubing is a favorite for children and adults alike. |
