By owner. Fully chinked two story 12 inch log home just 2.5 miles south of downtown Breckenridge. 1900 Sq. Ft. Sleeps 8 comfortably. The master bedroom has custom matching drapes and comforters with tiled private bath and walk in closet. Our raised deck off the MBR is perfect for summer dining.

The fabulous kitchen is fully stocked with spices, etc., tile counters, upscale appliances, eating bar, and every cooking and baking amenity. Our large dining room table easily accommodates 10 people. Three more at the eating bar.

The vaulted great room has a cozy gas fire burner in the carpeted, roomy living room with two sofas, 32" LCD TV, Pioneer digital surround sound stereo, DVD, CD, and VCR players. And of course cable TV service. Even a fantastic Bose home theatre system! Completely furnished with upscale mountain furniture, numerous antiques, and charming western and antique decor. The laundry is on the main floor as is the tiled 1/2 bath.

Wide split log stairs access the two carpeted oversize second floor guest bedroom suites situated on either end of the house. One sleeps 6, the other sleeps 4, both with plush custom bedding, separate closets, shared tiled bath, separate shower, and even an antique clawfoot bath tub.

For star gazing fans, try our outdoor resort size gas firepit. Split log seating for 8. Cozy even on the coolest nights! (summer use only)

We are located one house off highway 9 just south of beautiful Tarn Lake on a treed 1/2 acre. Only a 5-minute drive to downtown Breckenridge and the ski lifts. Entrance to our circular driveway is just yards off the highway. No gravel roads, hilly inclines or steep driveway.

Simply put, we are the modern quintessential log home in the woods, yet close to downtown and without the crowds, traffic, and noise of busy Breckenridge. Note: We are proud to have guests return year after year. Since we reserve some of each month for our personal use, we will try to accommodate new guests as space allows.

Year Purchased: 2005

Hello, My wife Leigh and I reside in Longmont, CO about 100 from our Breckenridge cabin. This is our second home and we spend considerable time here. We keep our pantry fully stocked with all the staples for cooking an baking and much, much, more. We look forward to retirement in a couple of years when we can spend a great deal more time at our lovely "cabin in the woods."

Why the Owner Chose Blue River

My wife and I purchased our Beckenridge home in 2005. Prior to this we owned a house in downtown Breck close to skiing and shopping. While convenient, it soon became clear that the noise, lights, and party atmosphere of Breckenride was not to our liking. We sold the home and are very pleased now be only 5 minutes from town but miles away from all the congestion. Frankly, we reserve much of the time for our personal use, renting sparling to help offset the cost of ownership.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Located on short dead end street that foots at the meadows and streams of the Blue River, we enjoy hikes, fly fishing, and mountain biking literally right from our front door. The night skies are clear and the star gazing is amazing-especially when sitting around our huge gas resort size fire pit!
