Why the Owner Chose Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa

We had a condo here in Huntington Beach,CA. and we sold it in 2005. We needed to find another rental property to invest in but all the houses were too expensive here, so a friend said to go take a look in Tucson. We went and hooked up with our wonderful Realtor, "Magee Skinner" and she showed us all kinds of properties, and we loved Tucson. When she showed us the Condo's we instantly fell in love with them. My Golfer Husband never thought that we could ever have a house on a Golf Course, because here in CA. they are so very expensive.

I called my sister and brother and they could tell how excited I was so they invested with us so that we could buy both of them.

We didn't know anything about renting to vacationers, we thought that we would just rent the Condo's out to yearly renters, and we would have them to semiretire to. ( Of course my bartender husband has too much fun working, and will never retire.)

Anyway, I spoke to all kinds of people and learned very quickly what to do to rent to vacationers, and how to try and make the Condo's feel like a Home Away From Home.

This is now the most wonderful job that I have ever had. The people who rent our Condo's are the nicest people ever!!!! They are so respectful of the property, and I have never had any issue with having animals there. And, after 3 years they almost pay for themselves, so I think that is not so bad.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome

I think that the best feeling that we have at our condo's, is that almost any time of the day, we can go on the patio and watch the very cool wildlife, "which includes the golfers", and just relax. The whole condo feels so comfortable, and has everything that we need to feel like we are at home. We can entertain friends, or just spend time alone with eachother.

Of Course, there is the Golf!!!! My husband and our friends enjoy the golf here at the Omni. The greens are taken care of so well and are beautiful. They also golf at many other course's that are very close by. It is a golfer's Paradise.

We can go to the Pool, and Bar-B-Q, read a book, or just have our coffee in the morning. We can go on hikes, and drive short distances to Kartchner Caverns, or Tumbstone, or just some of the local Art Stores, to find something special. We love some of the great Restaurants, and most of them we can sit outside and watch the sun go down, and the Lightning and Thunder Roll in. The Cactus Flowers are also so beautiful that I can take wonderful pictures. It is a Peaseful, comfortable place to unwind, and we all need a place like this from time to time.

Owner's Map of Omni Tucson National Golf Resort & Spa

My husband, John & I Live in Orange County CA., about 3 miles from the Beach, and we love where we live, and feel that we are very lucky to be living in an area where people come to visit. We Also Love to travel and we do a big trip about every 3 years. We went for 5 weeks to Europe, First Class, because we used our Charge Card Mileage. I tell everyone that I know, how we charge everything and pay it off every month and then we have so many points that we go on wonderful vacations, but no one ever listens to me, except John's sister and husband, and that is who we travel with. I plan the trips in advance and use our mileage for hotels, if we are unable to find VRBO/HomeAway houses, which we really prefer.

John is a Bartender and has been for about 38 years, since he moved here from OK, and was just out of the Air Force and back from South East Asia. He says that he is only going to do this until he grows up and figuers out what he really wants to do with his life..HaHa..... The only other thing he aspires to be when he grows up is a Golf Course Marshall.

I was a Chiropractor in South Central L.A., and as my parents got sick, I had to spend more time with them, and so I retired, and now I manage Properties. We are partners with my Brother and Sister, and their families, however, I do all the work. It keeps me very busy.

Our Family is very important to us. We have no kids, but plenty of Niece's and Nephew's, and they all know that if there is something that they need we will be here for them. We do have 3 dogs and 1 cat, and they are like our kids. We really do love Animals.

A Perfect Thanksgiving

Date of Stay: 11/21/09 Review Submitted: 01/21/10

We had the most perfect week at this property. Everything we needed and even more was there. This property was clean and very well maintained. We had a problem with one of the showers the second day we were there and Lisa had her repair guy there within the hour. He was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. This location was great and if you are a golfer you don't need to go far to find great courses. We would absolutely stay here again!

Owner response:Thank you very much T.S. for your review, and for letting me know how our handyman, Troy was. We think he is great too.

My parents rented this beautiful condo in July 2011. It was perfect! The location is great and very close to lots of shopping and attractions. The interior is very nice and welcoming. The owners have provided all the supplies and amenities needed and they are very kind. My parents loved the condo and we plan to try to rent it again for future visits to Tucson.

Perfect Retreat

Guest: Alan (California)
Date of Stay: 04/19/11 Review Submitted: 06/23/11

Perfect golf retreat. Totally enjoyed my 6 weeks Apr/May. The condo is equipped with everything you could want. Catalina and Sonoran are 2 great courses (very different from each other - which makes it special). Great community for morning & evening walks. Legends Bar & Grill at the resort is a 10 min walk & great for patio dining. Definitely plan to go back soon.

Owner response:Thank you so much Alan for the nice review, and being so patient and understanding with the small plumbing leak under the kitchen sink. It is a house and things do go wrong at times, and you were so nice about it. We are glad you had a wonderful stay!!!!

Home away from home

Guest: Morgan (Morgan Hill, CA)
Date of Stay: 05/19/11 Review Submitted: 06/06/11

This property is beginning to feel like our home away from home when we visit the Tucson area. It is super clean, well maintained and in a great location! The property owner is extremely responsive and wants to ensure all her guests are comfortable. I requested to have mesh installed on the backyard fence so my two doggies could be safe. She did not hesitate to meet this request and by the time we arrived, the mesh was up!! I appreciated that so much and enjoyed the unit much more since my furbabies were safe. We will definitely be coming back to this condo and will highly recommend it to family and friends!!

Owner response:Hi, I am glad you feel so comfortable at our places, that's what we like. However, I didn't even realize that the fence was not covered with mesh until you brought it to my attention so, it is a good thing that you did. I would have felt so terrible if anyone's furbabies, including mine, explored by themselves and got lost. Thanks for the review!!!!

Excellent condo

Guest: Tanya (Tucson, AZ)
Date of Stay: 07/17/10 Review Submitted: 07/24/10

This is the perfect little getaway. The golf resort is so beautiful and waking up to the mountain views... priceless. We were forced to find somewhere to hold up while our furniture arrived and this was the perfect home away from home. Lisa was so accommodating, allowing our 3 dogs to stay. It was just what I needed after the long drive from Virginia. I didn't take advantage of the pool but it looked very inviting. My in-laws, who stayed with us, are looking in to purchasing a condo in this community that they liked it so much. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Owner response:Hi, I hope you love your new home, and are enjoying the beautiful warm nights of Summer in Tucson.... Lisa.

Omni Tucson Condo

Guest: thumbs (Minnetonka, MN)
Date of Stay: 02/01/10 Review Submitted: 05/06/10

The greeting at the door to the condo says it all - mi casa es su casa - and Lisa has made you feel that you are at home. We were fortunate to be able to stay for two months and enjoy beautiful weather while all around the U.S., it was cold and dreary. Everything we needed for meals and barbeque was available and there are more untensils than I have at home! The patio is great for watching the golfers and just enjoying the blue sky and quails and rabbits running around. Lisa was great with any questions or requests for assistance and Troy her handyman is terrific. The Omni location is great for daytrips(Bisbee and Tubac a must) and you're never far away from any part of Tucson. We especially enjoyed hiking in the Oro Valley. We walked our dog daily around the wash and paths of the golf course and all the workers at the golf course knew us and waved. We found great ethnic restaurants and left menus for future guests. This is a great winter getaway and we hope to return soon.

Great place to stay in Tucson!

Guest: wagonswest (Sedona, AZ)
Date of Stay: 04/21/10 Review Submitted: 05/03/10

My daughters and I spent four days here and absolutely loved it. The home is spacious, immaculately kept, very comfortable, and had all the amenities we required. The large patio and view onto the golfcourse are lovely: lots of pretty birds. We were especially grateful for the local maps and suggestions of places to go and things to do. Especially helpful were free long-distance calling and the washer and dryer. It was too cold to use the lovely pool, but we will make sure we do on our next visit. It took us a few minutes to realize that the high-speed internet is wired, not wireless. Once attached, it worked perfectly. My daughters were disappointed that the TV in the bedroom does not get the higher cable channels, as they like the music channels. The place was better than the description, and the owner was extremely helpful, because we rented on rather short notice. I recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Tucson: it's a great location, close to everything but surrounded by the beauty of the foothills. Regarding restaurants: we ate at North, an Italian restaurant at Skyline and Campbell. Ok food but unbelievably noisy. The farmer's market at St Phillips's is fun to visit.
