This LUXURY BEACHFRONT home is located on one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica! This home is so close to the beach you can hear and see the spectacular sight of these sought out waves crashing on the beach. You will have the opportunity to enjoy daily strolls or jogs on this beautiful and clean beach or swim in our pool. You can relax and enjoy the breath-taking sunsets each evening.
This AIR CONDITIONED home is less than six years old and is approximately 2,800 square fee. It is located in a new gated development with security.
We also have a 4 bedroom home, 3 houses down (still on the beach) that can be rented for larger groups needing 2 houses. It can be viewed at VRBO listing #60800. There is a same style 3 bedroom home right next to this house with only shrubbery separation us, so you could have up to 16 people between both houses! It's like having two houses on the beach on one large lot with two huge pools. We can send you pictures of the two houses. Just ask. This is a great way for a larger group of people to enjoy famous Playa Hermosa.
The FLOOR PLAN is large and open. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed. The second and third bedrooms have a double and a twin bed in each. For your convenience, there is also a washer and dryer located in the home.
The KITCHEN is spacious, with granite counter tops, and includes a large side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. There is plenty of room to sit at the counter in the kitchen or you may want to enjoy eating out by the pool while watching the waves crash on the beach or the spectacular sunsets. You may want to keep up with what is going on back home with our high speed internet.
To help you get settled in for your stay, we have a wonderful HOSPITALITY professionals to greet you for your check-in and provide a customized welcome basket, maps and brochures tailored to your needs. They can help you with: tours, directions, horse- riding, surf lessons, whitewater rafting, canopy tours, and restaurant recommendations. They will be your contact throughout your rental time.
HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY. The house and yard are handicap friendly. There are no steps and the doors and hallways are wide.
HERMOSA BEACH, where this home is located, is a world-class surfing beach that hosts international competitions. Since the waves can be enormous, surfers from all over the world seek out this beach everyday. Even if you don't surf, it is very entertaining to watch the waves and surfers.
Located at the Northern end of the beach, there are several "Beach Boy" style bars and restaurants. You can relax, watch the surfers, and enjoy the sunsets.
At the southern end of the beach, is a TURTLE PRESERVE. During September to November, the turtles come and lay their eggs, volunteers come help move the eggs to a safe place. The volunteers take care of the eggs until they hatch. We were able to help release newly hatched turtles into the ocean.
If you are a BEGINNER SURFER or booggie boarder, you will enjoy JACO Beach, which is located to the north only 10 minutes away. The waves here are milder. In addition, you will discover a wide assortment of restaurants, shopping, ATM/banking, internet cafes, nightclubs, bakery, pharmacy, medical services, churches, etc. in this town.
WILDLIFE can be discovered everywhere, even around our houses. Iguanas and geckos can be seen all around. For those with an adventuresome side, crocodile safaris are also available. If you stop by the Crocodile bridge (on your way to Jaco from San Jose) you can see 15-20 crocodiles in the river.
We highly recommend for you to experience a guided CANOPY TOUR! You are hooked up to a cable with the safety of a harness. As you travel along the zip line, you go from one tree platform to the next. It is quite a thrill! One of the best tours is only 5 minutes from the house.
In addition, you can further experience Costa Rica by bird watching, sea kayaking, white water rafting, visit national parks, or relax in the hot spring pools located by the volcano, a 3-4 hour drive.
You can arrange to have your kitchen stocked with food for your arrival or arrange maid/ cooking services.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
My husband and I are farmers in the central San Joaquin Valley in California. We mostly grow grapes and almonds. His mother is from Costa Rica. We have lots of cousins in Costa Rica. We fell in love with the country and the people. We bought this house when it came up for sale thinking it would be a good investment. We have 2 beach front homes in this area. We come down 4 or 5 times per year and wish we could spend more time in Costa Rica.
Why the Owner Chose Jaco
We like this location because it is on the beach and you can hear the crashing waves pound the sand. It is a beautiful beach and always warm to hot. We found farther north up by Tamerindo was very dry and brown during the dry season, not what you are looking for when going to Costa Rica. This area is fairly green even in the dry season. It is only 2 hours from the San Jose airport on paved roads. The house is about 5 to 10 minutes from Jaco. Close enought to go for dinner or shopping, but away from the crowds to enjoy the beauty.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our house is not just in a beach front comunity. You are only steps away from the sand. Walk past your private pool and cross a little beach acess road and you are on the beach. It will seem like it is your own private beach. Build a bon fire, surf, explore the beach or take long walks on this beautiful beach.

We were a group of two couples staying primarily for surfing. As previous owners of a home in Costa Rica, we were very familiar with the area in which we wished to stay. We had driven by this home dozens of times on previous trips and thought "wow, what a perfect location and setup!" - never imagining that one day we would be staying there! The layout and amenities of the house are wonderful - perfect for surfers or families here to enjoy the beach, with tile throughout. Cable TV and internet was 100 percent dependable, and there is an easy-to-use alarm system and round-the-clock security guard for added peace of mind. The home was equipped with everything we needed to prepare most of our meals, and the pool was wonderful also - having full sun exposure all day. We can't wait to return!
Owner response:Always enjoy hearing about how renters had a good time staying at our beach house. We try to keep the house equipped like we would want it. Hope you are able to make it back again soon.

My family and I have stayed here twice, and we look forward to staying here again in the near future. The house is in a perfect location. It's off the main road, so everything is quiet and still and you feel like you are the only ones enjoying the breathtaking sights and sounds of nature. But, just 15 mins up the road you will find restaurants, shops, zip line tours and anything else you want to do in Costa Rica. My family did it all and relaxed, too. We enjoyed many evenings cooking our own meals in the kitchen then swimming under the stars while listening to the ocean waves, while other nights we stayed in town to eat a restaurant. There were so many to choose from we never ate at the same one twice. During the days we went on zip lines, and tours and boogie boarded. It really was fun for our whole family. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Costa Rica.
Owner response:Thanks for sharing about your trip. Your information will be helpful to future renters.

We stayed at the Dolphin House for 2 weeks and it was MAGICAL! We enjoyed the sound, sight and smell of the ocean while we relaxed in hammocks reading or swam in the pool. It is on a very quiet road and stretch of beach, yet it was perfectly located to easily get to Jaco for shopping, tours, and restaurants in less than 15 minutes. Just 2 minutes down the road are some delightful oceanfront restaurants, including Vista Hermosa and a Pizza/internet place we loved. The house was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed, including some of the comforts of home like a dishwasher! We even enjoyed watching some movies on the cable channels in the evening when we were exhausted from riding the zip-line, snorkeling, climbing waterfalls, four-wheeling and hiking through the rain forest and snapping endless photos of monkeys, toucans, sloths, and SO MUCH more. Susan is so efficient and great to work with. She even sent us lists of "What to see and do" and a notebook full of great ideas and places to visit. Check in and out was very easy. It was awesome!!

We had a wonderful time staying at your lovely beach house. Not only was it a very comfortable place to stay, but it was a treat to stay so close to the ocean. We could even hear the surf from inside the house! We invited family to join us for a reunion and it ended up being the perfect house and location for everyone. Some enjoyed just relaxing by the pool or taking a stroll on the beach while the other more adventurous ones went zip-lining and surfing. We had fun at some of the restaurants in Jaco and it was always nice to return to our quiet home on the beach. And we got to see the scarlet macaws that live in the in the trees behind your house too. We all hope to return in the future and we would definitely want to rent your house again!

The house was great...all the modern amenities. Pool was great for the kids and the nearby beach was beautiful to take a walk on every morning and sunset. We were 3 families with 5 kids in total and it never felt crowded. I recommend this home to anyone who's looking for a house on Jaco Beach...it was close to everything!

Absolutely breathtaking! Gorgeous house, everything the pictures are and much more. Great owners, easy to work with. The wonderful welcome staff in Costa Rica just added to the experience. There is an incredible view of the ocean...you are just steps away from an awesome beach with some of the best surfing! Surfers beware!! Directly out front of the house is the most consistent break in all of Costa Rica. The swell gets pretty big and is known for both lefts and rights!! I went to Point Loma where the water is warm but does not compare to CR where you can trunk it all day!! At low tide my kids were able to boogie board and hunt for sand crabs. My wife enjoyed jogging on the beach and we both think the sunsets are the most spectacular we've ever seen. The sky is so bright with orange and pink that your skin glows. There is so much to do on the central pacific coast that this house is in such a perfect location. We felt like we were at our own private five star resort as we swam in the warm pool, lounged in the hammocks and sipped the world famous Costa Rica coffee. It is so private and secluded, yet so close to town and everything you need from great resturants to tour guides. (our personal favorite is on main street in Jaco- called THE WISHBONE). Even our children were able to experience the thrilling zip lines! We all look foward to using this house again for our next Costa Rican adventure.
