The Winter Park/Fraser area cannot be beat this time of year, with plenty of things to do and incredible views! Our dream vacation rentals are located less than 10 miles from Winter Park Resort (also close to Sol Vista and Devils Thumb Ranch). This slice of heaven is the perfect mix of mountain serenity and convenience to town-Fraser 3 miles.
Some of the interior features include: old world mountain decor and furnishings, 5 piece master bath with custom tile and 2 person soaking tub (see views), double-sided gas fireplace, in-floor radiant heat, Black Diamond alder and granite kitchen (fully loaded), the cutest laundry "saloon" in town, bunk room, family games and more.
The exterior boasts 700 square feet of mahogany decking with teak patio furniture and 7 person private hot tub, custom stonework, hewn cedar siding with chinking, 2 car over sized heated garage/game-room and over 3 acres to frolic with the resident fox, deer and moose. With too many architectural features to name, just know that we built our Cabin to last, and we hope it offers lasting memories to others as well.
Moose Run Subdivision is just past Fraser's Tubing Hill & Rodeo (the first left after Trailblazers Snowmobile Tours), and is made up of 40 large lots, open space and fifteen custom homes. This unique area includes exclusive entry to the Northwest Passage Trail for access to all primary trails in Arapaho National Forest. Hike, bike, ski or sled right from our house, or get in the car for a 3 minute ride to the rodeo, 5 minute ride to tubing or town, minutes more to two (2) ski areas or many choices in golf...and about a half hour to boating/fishing activities on Lake Granby or Grand Lake.
The owners of the larger 4 bedroom/3bath Moose Run Lodge are also allowing me to book rentals at their neighboring 3675 s.f. property (see calendar for Lodge at Homeaway #244372). Usually renting $55 higher than the Cabin, the Lodge and Cabin will honor a 15% discount when both are booked (plus $250 cleaning fee and tax). The combined occupancy is up to 28, and the Lodge is pet friendly. The last 6 pictures are of the NEW 3675 square foot Moose Run Lodge!

Our expectations were exceeded when we stayed at this beautiful house in Winter Park. Just 10 miles from Winter Park you are close enough to be able to run to the store if you need to, but far enough away that you feel like you’re the only people on earth! You will absolutely love the breath taking views that you can see right outside your window. As you can see from the picture I enjoyed everyday!
We walked into the house and felt right at home in this beautiful 4 bedroom 2 bath home.
We loved the décor throughout the whole house, and the stocked kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make all our meals at the house. The little bear cubs had so much fun playing in the loft upstairs while the Big Bears enjoyed relaxing in front of the fire or playing games at the large table. We loved sitting outside in the hot tub staring at the stars and not ever wanting to get out. But of course we couldn’t stay in forever or these paws would be too pruney! Let’s not forget the subfloor heating to warm our paws in the early mornings.
If you don’t want to stay in, there are so many things that you can do outside. There is skiing, sledding or snow shoeing. Then there are the ever so popular ping pong tournaments in the heated garage that the whole family can enjoy! You can also enjoy mountain biking, BBQing, fishing and shopping in the great shops of Winter Park. If you don’t feel like cooking, check out the great restaurants in Winter Park. It’s not too far if you want to see Sol Vista or Grand Lake either.
Once you see this beautiful cabin in the mountains you’ll come back with your family again and again. Don’t take my word for it though. Come check it out for yourself!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We built our vacation rental from the ground up, and completed the undertaking at the end of 2005. We really like the proximity to both Winter Park Ski Resort (winter) and Grand Lake/golfing (summer). We also love the acreage and open space in our Moose Run community.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Many people don't realize that Grand County is home to the mountain biking capitol of the world! We stock 3 mountain bikes for your enjoyment at the Moose Run Cabin (use at your own risk and expense, if broken).
You can bike from our property and hook up to many trails in the National Forest, or town.
In the winter, we provide sleds and cross country ski/snow shoe equipment...see our website for videos of fun activities, including our home made "luge" on the back hill.
And many guests have commented that we truly overdo all the amenities throughout their stay, from the welcome basket on arrival to the "moose" theme wine and snacks. The Moose Run Lodge even has a barn for horses (special accommodations required).
This is the other 4 bedroom 3 bath luxury rental in Moose Run. It has a barn for horses, and will consider boarding or pets with an additional deposit/contract.
